No issues on my end except for the horrible volume wheel. It feels so cheap and is just a dumb way of adjusting the volume. I've owned Astros, Hyper X, Razer, and bought the Steel Series Nova Pro ones before returning them for these. This Turtle Beach one is by far the best headset I've purchased and I never cared for the this brand as I always thought of them as a gimmicky brand. Turtle Beach has made me a fan.
Very good review. I bought these recently and I’ve been very impressed. Good rich sound and soundstage - it is easy to identify footstep direction. I didn’t know I needed simultaneous BT but I use it a lot now I have it.
Brilliant, thanks for your review. It’s amazing how much detail you’ve covered compared to other UA-camrs that have just been overly gushy, almost like they were being paid.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviewsis it possible to connect these headphones to my USB mic via AUX lead or USB cable? I like to be able to hear myself through my headset otherwise I end up shouting or not talking loud enough. I know the headphones have built in side tone but is this only for the mic that comes with the headset? I wouldn’t be using the mic with the headset as I always use my USB mic
I bought some Audeze Maxwell and they lasted me 4 days. The right earbud started with a horrible crackle without even being turned on. In theory the "diaphragm" was disassembled from the headset or something like that, but what bothered me is that I was being blamed for "misuse" when I literally used it twice and took care of it more than myself. Now I went for the TB stealth pro because of the issue of FPS games and the need for better sound for footsteps, which is the lowest point of the Maxwells, very bad on that issue.
Who accused you of misuse? My experience of Audeze's customer service is that they were nothing short of excellent. The right earcup went completely silent on my Maxwell's after 4 months of heavy use. They acknowledged it was an issue and sent a replacement within two days of me sending my pair back to them (for which they paid the postage). I was also offered a full refund while they figure out whether the issue is firmware or hardware related. Communication was excellent and quick throughout.
Between the issues Ive heard of the maxwells being weaker in durablity and the fact no one I know by me has a display model I went with the tb stealth pro. The biggest thing for me was easy chat/ game adjustment and footstep detection. Everything else would automatically be better than my 2017 Astro a40TRs so I wasnt worried. I was returning an item to best buy and right next to me was the headset display so i stopped and tried the TBs. Sounded awesome so I said fuck it Im not gonna wait and got them. Need to use it more for a better review but so far I think game audio is plenty. Movie Audio was quieter than Id have prefered which I think is where people say it doesnt get loud enough. R6 gets more than loud enough for me and I watch movies in the other room through speakers so its a non issue for me. I did have some buzzing at xbox menu which made me almost want to return them till I figured out the eq turned off and it wasnt running a eq. turning on one turned the buzz off. so far I am liking it. Im to worried about the durability of the maxwells and complaints of hearing audeze not cover driver failure to risk it
i bought these and am returning them. the nail in the coffin for me is that you CANT control the bluetooth and game volume separately. if you turn one up or down, they both go up or down.
Tried all top headsets this one is gaming changing for me The sound is so immersive i realt enjoyed the steelseries wireless pro and astro a50 x but man turtle beach snapped a little tuning and its best headset i have used in long time
I think the TB Stealth Pro has the thickest and best sound. I returned my Audeze Maxwell’s after I got these. To be honest I think the Audeze Maxwell was insanely overrated.
I agree. Maxwell are obviously better in some areas. But weight/Comfort/and Voices sound absolutely awfull. Not to talk about Directionality and holographicness of sounds. For the asking price of the maxwell It is absurdly bad. When i get the Stealth Or even the StealSeriesNova Pros with WC for 50% of the price I 100/100 times chose them over the Maxwell´s 10xBetter to wear as well. If I go Audiophile I use my DAC/AMP and Arya Organic Combo. Absolutely Insane for Games, Movies and Music aka all things Audio. Also Insanely Overkill if you dont care... but I do and I send back my Maxwell´s. Or even the StealSeriesNova Pros with WC
I have the old arctic pros forever with the 3.5 jack. To me that sounded better than the maxwells (for FPS gaming). I just ordered SS nova pros and I’m going to compare them to the stealth pros but honestly the simplicity and sound out the box of the TBSP amazes me and ultimately I’m gonna prolly go with those. The old SS arctic pros and really damn good too but they are made with emphasis on the highs and lack the base the TB has
Thanks for such detail review, i have the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 and looking for an upgrade, i find it strange you're getting issues with not being able turn off bluetooth, with the Stealth 700 Gen 2 it was possible, i never had any issues software wise with the Gen 2, i'm just looking for an upgrade of it and i love the removable swappable batteries these have. Thanks so much for this review , you've earned yourself a subscriber because of it, take care bro.
The software issues are a deal breaker for me. I absolutely hated the Stealth 700 gen 2 Max software, it worked 70% of the time, the volume was never right and fluctuates, and it seems like the Stealth Pro has the same issues. I'm using the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7X and everything is seamless on it.
great video, best review iv ever seen, but i just have one question and it's if i'm able to adjust the chat volume of other people. I know on the stealth 700 gen 2 it has 2 scroll wheels with one for game audio and chat audio and I was wondering if I can do the same on this.
You can change one of the buttons to game and chat mix and good to go I play Fortnite and in the menu you can change 2 game and chat mix so yes you can
I know I am late what you think these will compare to Steelseries Pro Nova Wireless? If you had to choose Stealth Pro or the Steelseries Arctic Pro Nova Wireless??
Awesome job with the video, but my question is, do you just compared a $330 gaming headset vs a $99.99 headset?? This one in the video vs the Clouds III?? I have the clouds II and i’m going for the III today!!
Yep, the Cloud III is less than 1/3 of the price and still has a better mic and is more comfortable imo. But the Stealth Pro beats it in headphone audio.
I probably disagree with nearly everything u said about this headset this headset is prob best on market imo I’ve had them all plus big utubers like techne and gadgetrytech say these are the best of the lot anc is prob not the best but I don’t hear anything as there always on full volume lol

Yeah, makes sense because many of them were indeed sent this headset for free. I bought it out of pocket, so no need for me to hold back.

Stealth Pro easily. I sold my Nova Pro. I don't think they sound good enough for the money.

For COD and footsteps the Tygr’s Run with the best of them hands down. Love mine🤙. Good call.

How much better than the 700 stealth?
Not better enough to be worth the price increase, but it's a significant improvement.
I don’t want no dongles
Great headset overall but my 50$ truthear crinacle zero crush them in fps games ( and most gaming headset to be fair)
For the bros for you have a couple coins and you game hard this the headset for you. This the best headset on the market
