@@jamesstevens968 Thank you for your concerns, but I think I will be fine with this choice.
I've had some pretty hefty headphones above 400 grams in the past years. I usually wore them all day long and I've never had any fatigue due to the weight on my neck.
I already have a great audio setup focused on a natural sound signature. So having a gaming focused pair of Bluetooth headphones would be a great addition to the setup.
The only Bluetooth headphones I own right now are my 4 year old Skullcandy Crusher Evo's. They're a really fun kit for bass heads like me but they kind of lack in terms of audio quality and basic functions.
I need a serious upgrade and I think the Audeze Maxwell's fit my criteria perfectly. They would replace my old and worn out Skullcandy headphones, and the Sennheiser PC38X pair I use for gaming.
A 2-in-1, two birds with one stone kind of purchase in my opinion. No more dealing with wires when I'm gaming. Also experiencing a "fun" and unique sound signature that isn't really killing the sound quality overall.
The reason why they also replace my Skullcandy headphones is because of how unique and lively planar drivers sound. They aren't as boring as conventional dynamic drivers in my humble opinion.

IK its heavy but it doesnt feel uncomfortable at all. I often use it for 5+ hours with some 15-16hour sessions taking it off rarely and never felt a pain they are simply nice. If I'd not worn lighter headphones before I'd not even call it heavy its how little the difference feels for me. I also have a sennheiser hd458bt for outside usage which is around 240g.

@@alsius9162 when you get the maxwells turn off the volume limiter and hone in the EQs. The headset is sublime. I also use it to listen to music because of its fantastic sound. 90 MM planar drivers offer up to 50,000 hz. Also battery life is 80 hours. I’ve only charged my headset a hand full of times since getting them.
The flaws I have are that they are a little bulky and the ear pads can be a little hot. I thought the weight was gonna be an issue but once I put them on I don’t even notice it. I got ear pads that make it cooler so that issue is solved. Totally happy with my purchase.

Did you change any settings when you did the mic test? I only ask, because you have one of the best sounding mic tests for this headset review, it almost sounds like you didn't even switch between your production mic and the headset mic.

I don't know. I just got these and I've been messing with the EQ, but all of the presets out of the box sound super bad. I was able to fix it to a degree with a custom preset which helped to a degree. Another thing is they're a little too quiet. Don't get me wrong the audio is crisp as hell. But I honestly have to say the astro a50 gen 4s are a lot easier to set up, come with better presets, and are slightly louder granted the audio isn't as clear and the battery life sucks but at least you can plug it in and use it for anything with out really using the software

@@triple9_ For real I tried the Blackshark V2 Pros(2023 edition) While they were better than the Corsair Virtuoso XT they had nothing on the sound level and build quality the Maxwell's have. I got the Xbox version for my PC/Xbox and the Atmos sounds better than the THX surround did for the Razer. Unless We are talking about Audio Technica or Sennheizers there isnt gaming headset that comes close to the Maxwell's. Maxwell's definitely give wired gaming headsets a good run for their money.
