The videos I always go to for reviews. Most other reviewers have boring, robotic voices but not this chap. Very interesting, always detailed and very enthusiastic and so easy to listen to 😊👍
I've had this headset for about a week now. Absolutely phenomenal work from Turtle Beach! My only two gripes are the light on the transmitter, I wish it could be dimmed and/or turned off. But I have it out of the way so it isn't too annoying. Secondly, I wish the button on the earcup could mute the microphone as well. Small things I think but it would be great if we could change those
I just got them and loaded up apex but i noticed the headset wasn’t loud at all and i had on max. My headset before was the Astro a 40 w/ amp. Is yours loud loud ?
@@joesipr no but i reconnected everything again just to see if anything changed and it did. Mic is actually super loud i love it. My only complaint is (at least for my big head) i feel like it gets in comfy after a while. I’ll probably get used to it tho. Besides that tho it’s really good

Great review as always. I just don't think I could shell out $300 plus dollars for a Turtle Beach because of the dependability of their headsets. Ive owned several and none have made it past a year.
I have been saying this for while now, turtle beach has really come a long way, and they make some solid products these days. ( no fluff, really gamer/consumer talk)
i bought the headset, and is awesome, just dont like the sidetone, always is ON when is turn on the headset. Do u know if have a fix? cause is annoying because i have to open the audio hub to turn off :_(

My old a50s broke today so I ran to Best Buy and picked these up open box mint condition for 230$ with tax. We’ll see how it goes I have high hopes my astros served me for a few years but the new a50 x was a little to much for me. Also thanks a ton for this review!!

i absolutely love the sound stage and profiles of TB headsets. Build quality though is a different story. Sure when you first take it out of the box, twisting & bending it reassures you that its a durable headset. But give it about a year and TB plastic products tend to break on you.
Thank you for that final stretch where you are showing the stress on the headband... you can also see the outer plastic piece bending unnaturally. I wear a headset 12hr a day with a size 8 head, so they would break easily over time.
Thanks for the excitement about the light on the charging station changing when the mic is muted, that is a feature we were not told about on the Turtle Beach website, and yeah, it's pretty cool!
ok so been looking at these head phones as ive a few i have used, including razer. however recently for gmaing be it ps5 or pc ive gone back to my turtle beach stealth 600 the OG pair and found the quality and reliability was far better. and thes stealth pro peaked my interest. ive watch alot of reviews and they all left me totally undecided (alot to spend if i dont like) and gotta say you have been by a country mile the best reviewer ive come across in terms of nutral and detailed to everything i wanna know about a headset. to the point i think for me personaly these are gonna be awesome when i get them. thanks for the review and i will keep a look out on everything you review in the future :)
Just bought this headset it’s amazing glad I held off getting the nova pro wireless the mic on steel series is terrible so nasal sounding, I have upgrading from arctis 7x and these are a massive improvement

I’ve always been curious how phone calls could work with dual headsets like this. So if I get a call while gaming, I could talk at the same time while hearing the game right? Would the in-game/ party chat be muted while I’m on the call?
It saves to the headset! How do so many companies get that wrong. I tried the jbl quantum 910 amd logitech g x2. It is mind-blowing that these companies don't allow EQ settings to save to the headset for multi-platform play. Anyway, ran over. I'm trying to pick between the Audeze, nova pro, and these now.

@@nazarethproductions7095 doesn't solve their CS issues. I don't know of a company in the 21st century that could have a customer 2 months on without warrantied product and mark their RMA ticket as "solved". Hands down worst CS I've personally seen.

Headset so far is solid for the couple weeks i have had it. I use the EQ depicted in the video great for cinematics, ok for serious fps unless your a casual gamer like me tho i still seem to be doing well. The only real cons to this are the gaps he showed in the video, moat of the time the headset "swivel"area fails before the batreries or drivers do. My other concern is with these hot swappable batteries in my experience they tend to be cheap batteries and are prone to balooning so hopefully this is fixed. I got these on sale for 260 and i think thats a fair price, i wouldnt pay more than that.

I bought these before watching review and not sure if I got a defective headset - I kept getting told I sounded muffled and messed every possible setting on the app for the mic output but never fixed it. Also kept getting random audio scratches even if it wasn't playing anything. Looked it up and apparently happened because of the headset being over 70% volume :/. But cant tell if it was just mine. Someone i play with recommended it but his was light & day in the mic in comparison
No turtle Beach All day long because there lighter than the Maxwell and there better for competive gaming the Maxwell soundstage is terrible and magnetic drivers aren't good for your brain stay safe and happy gaming to all
I have the Arctic pros and I see that these have the batteries that you swap out and let me tell you once you get a headset with that feature you will Never want to go back to plugging your headset in to charge. I recommend these or the arctic pros just for that reason alone

I have a TB Stealth 700 gen 2 but I'm having very annoying issues in party chat with it constantly, not with other ones. I can get the Pro for 180 euros, how do they compare to the 700 gen 2? Sound wise.

Amazing review love what you do. I have 2 questions however 1- does it work as a multiplatform like stealth 700 gen 2 max on xbox and ps or is it just on a single console plus pc and phone? 2- Is there a small pinch for glasses users where is doesn’t pinch on them too much? Thank youu very much.
I am coming from the 700 gen max as well and yes, it works multi-platform the same way but uses a hub instead of a dongle. It doesn't have the little rubber band that creates the glasses channel like the 700 max gen 2 but the earcups are designed to be comfy for glasses, and they are. I don't feel any pinching when I wear them. My only complaint is that the mic monitoring is pretty bad compared to the 700 max gen 2, but I like heavy monitoring.

@@meridiusuk8567 I didn't use those but compared to the gen 2 they were fuller and I absolutely noticed things I hadn't heard before. Similar sound profile but more detail is how I would describe it. At least for me.
Is it possible to use a usb splitter and plug into ps5 and Xbox at once? Basically to eliminate having to get up and keep on moving the usb from system to system
Thats an issue with the stealth 700 gen 2 max also. Mic monitoring will never stay off. It tuens back on every time i use the headset. Gotta go back in and turn it off
I was using mine for the first time today. In terms of comfort, they sit nicely on your ears and the memory foam is very comfortable, but over an hour or so I found my ears getting a little warm, so they're not that breathable. They're also quite heavy, so probably not ideal for people with small heads or young kids. In terms of sound quality, they're good but I did find it a little "boxy" at first, compared to my Turtle Beach XO Ones which I've had for years. Maybe that takes some getting used to, I don't know. In terms of features, it has pretty much everything you need which you use via the app which is very intuitive and works well. I'm gonna make my decision over the next week to decide whether I want to keep mine, but so far I'd give them 7/10.
Great review as always think I know exactly which is my new gaming headset only question I have for you techne is the sound quality just as good on your phone or pc compared to the xbox1 which is what I'm buying it for but my I find myself using my old turtlebeaches for alot of audio calls these days just for the sound clarity if you say the sound is brilliant on any device sold 👌🤘👊
Amazing headphones for the first 3 months, 6-12 month is when you get the breakdowns. Then the month before the manufacturer warrant you get them replaced

Had a pair of Turtlebeach ones and I remember the sound was some of the best i've had! Though they got pretty hot around the ears. Is it the same for these? I have been using the Arctis 7 for quite some time now, and they could see an upgrade soon. Just dont want to by these, if they get hot after a good long session
I had those pre-ordered and was waiting for your review to drop. Great job! And the Turtle 700 Max Gen2 was already phenomenal but I had to return for connectivity issues. Did you get any with this or is your Wi-Fi environment not that congested in the first place?
By the way the Arctis Nova Pro W doesn't stand a chance against even the 700 Max Gen2 and I returned when I got the 700. So, I know this will be the audio king for me.

You seem to be into premium headset for gaming. Why don't you try the Bang & Olufsen Portal for Playstation and PC? Specifically this version, they came later than the XBOX version and are notably better. And you don't get pleather cushions... you get LAMBSKIN cushions.
Beyond glad to see another company doing the dual battery system like Steelseries. Should be a widespread feature for wireless headsets

How did you enable voice chat? I updated mine and I can't hear anyone and they can't hear me. Such as warzone proximity chat, friends.

You can call from your phone and play on ps5 and both audios come through

What should I go with stealth 700 gen 2 max or stealth pros? $120 difference
if i have the novas pro wireless , really really want this tb too , but the sound quality difference is much? want to know this before buy the TB , want to know if are more louder or the differenfe is minimal
How does this headset compare to wired headsets ?? Is it close enough where u won’t notice or is wired still superior ?

1- does it work as a multiplatform like stealth 700 gen 2 max on xbox and ps or is it just on a single console plus pc and phone?
2- Is there a small pinch for glasses users where is doesn’t pinch on them too much?

I am coming from the 700 gen max as well and yes, it works multi-platform the same way but uses a hub instead of a dongle. It doesn't have the little rubber band that creates the glasses channel like the 700 max gen 2 but the earcups are designed to be comfy for glasses, and they are. I don't feel any pinching when I wear them. My only complaint is that the mic monitoring is pretty bad compared to the 700 max gen 2, but I like heavy monitoring.

@@meridiusuk8567 I didn't use those but compared to the gen 2 they were fuller and I absolutely noticed things I hadn't heard before. Similar sound profile but more detail is how I would describe it. At least for me.
Is it possible to use a usb splitter and plug into ps5 and Xbox at once? Basically to eliminate having to get up and keep on moving the usb from system to system
Thats an issue with the stealth 700 gen 2 max also. Mic monitoring will never stay off. It tuens back on every time i use the headset. Gotta go back in and turn it off
I just change it all the way down so whether on or off it doesn’t affect anything.

I want to use it on my android but for some reason I'm getting no sound even tho it says there connected
I was using mine for the first time today. In terms of comfort, they sit nicely on your ears and the memory foam is very comfortable, but over an hour or so I found my ears getting a little warm, so they're not that breathable. They're also quite heavy, so probably not ideal for people with small heads or young kids. In terms of sound quality, they're good but I did find it a little "boxy" at first, compared to my Turtle Beach XO Ones which I've had for years. Maybe that takes some getting used to, I don't know. In terms of features, it has pretty much everything you need which you use via the app which is very intuitive and works well. I'm gonna make my decision over the next week to decide whether I want to keep mine, but so far I'd give them 7/10.

Great review as always think I know exactly which is my new gaming headset only question I have for you techne is the sound quality just as good on your phone or pc compared to the xbox1 which is what I'm buying it for but my I find myself using my old turtlebeaches for alot of audio calls these days just for the sound clarity if you say the sound is brilliant on any device sold 👌🤘👊

Amazing headphones for the first 3 months, 6-12 month is when you get the breakdowns. Then the month before the manufacturer warrant you get them replaced

Which is heavier, Stealth 700 Gen 2 or this one? Also, have they used the Aerofit cooling gel for ear cushions like in previous 700 G2 models?
700 Gen 2s are 391grams, so only a little bit lighter than the Stealth Pros
Had a pair of Turtlebeach ones and I remember the sound was some of the best i've had! Though they got pretty hot around the ears. Is it the same for these? I have been using the Arctis 7 for quite some time now, and they could see an upgrade soon. Just dont want to by these, if they get hot after a good long session

I had those pre-ordered and was waiting for your review to drop. Great job! And the Turtle 700 Max Gen2 was already phenomenal but I had to return for connectivity issues. Did you get any with this or is your Wi-Fi environment not that congested in the first place?
By the way the Arctis Nova Pro W doesn't stand a chance against even the 700 Max Gen2 and I returned when I got the 700. So, I know this will be the audio king for me.
I use wireless mice, keyboards and many other devices in my game room, and no issues what so ever with connection

You seem to be into premium headset for gaming. Why don't you try the Bang & Olufsen Portal for Playstation and PC? Specifically this version, they came later than the XBOX version and are notably better.
And you don't get pleather cushions... you get LAMBSKIN cushions.
