  • You can make teriyaki authentic this summer on any grill with a lid. Making a whole bird keeps this economical and easy especially for a crowd. Homemade teriyaki has no added sugar other than what comes in the mirin. The key is marinating the chicken from the underside while drying out the skin in the fridge. Mangia!
    CIE Chicken Teriyaki
    6-8lb whole chicken
    2t kosher salt
    2t soy sauce
    2t sake
    2t dark soy sauce
    Sauce
    8-10 garlic cloves
    2” fresh ginger
    2t canola oil
    1/2c saké
    1/2c soy sauce
    1/2c mirin
    2t cornstarch
    1T sesame seeds
