Sorry about the sun in this video guys. Gonna have to break out the shades to watch this one!
replace the chefs hat with a huge sombrero and that should do the trick! Love your videos and keep posting more
@@hollycameron7311 Thank you, I will!
About how much soy sauce and teriyaki do you put on each breast(when u do hibachi)?
I love griddling and hibachi, thank you for making these videos!
I always enjoy watching your videos - and gain some great inspiration every time. Thank you!
My new favorite channel! Thanks chef!
Looks good! Thanks for sharing!
Amazing Chefo! thank you
Love the channel. I’m hungry yet relaxed.
I just got a black stone griddle and Iv made a few of your recipes so far, just wow man everyone loves it, btw your channel is gona blow up , love everything about from content, your energy, rawness, absolute sleeper of a channel but wouldn’t be surprised when it hits 100k+
Really appreciate that! Thanks for giving the recipes a try! I’m glad there going well.
Great video! I can't wait to try this! Cheers 🍻!
Great video. Thank you.
I look forward to these videos - I'm planning to get a Blackstone grill for our backyard!
You won't be disappointed if you do!
Just bought a blackstone yesterday. Gonna season it today after work then make your fried rice. Thanks for these video tutorials. You're a seasoned chef!
I just got me a blackstone and looked up videos to watch to learn how to cook and you were the first one and man I am happy you were. Will be watching all your videos. Thanks brother
You pay for food, the show comes with it. At the restaurant we cook the to go orders in a wok and the food cost the same.
Keep up the videos!
Such a relaxing channel. Need more content!
More to come
For sure going to make this!!!
Let me know how it goes. Front forget to check out the teriyaki recipe
@@thebackyardhibachi I made some the other day and I like it
Man you do a great job I have a 36 black stone ,an a17 inch one I enjoy cooking , I enjoy watching ya ,, I cooked hibachi rice ,an shrimp yesterday day it was top shelf I did rice the way you said it turned out great I like the noodles really good ,I use spaghetti noodles I don’t like mushy noodles lots of noodles are mushy at restaurants,,cook on,,,,daddy👨🏼🍳
Nice man! About to give this a shot without all the cool tricks lol love my black stone
Paul another amazing cook, really enjoy what you’re doing and it looked delicious . May be a little blind behind you that sun is killer lol😂. can’t wait for the next one cheers 🍻
This looks so good! Can you maybe include the time frame of cooking for certain sections. Like how long you let the chicken cook skin side down.
Always been confused about soy versus Teriyaki sauce. I see I can use both, which will make the wife happy because she love Teriyaki sauce. I watch your videos before I go out to cook Hibachi because I don't do it enough so I need good hints and reminders, although I remember more each time. Thanks for posting so many videos.
I really appreciate the video. I just got a griddle. I love the camera angle from your point of view. You should try and figure out a way to have two angles if possible. It would be appealing to see plus it helps new people like me see better with what you are doing.
Loving the channel. Just watched a couple of your vids to gain enough confidence to go try for my first time. Hahah😂 wish me luck.
Good luck! Let me know how it goes.
@@thebackyardhibachi went great!! Thanks for the tips the family loved it and now i wanna learn the show tricks :)
Excellent!!! great video! Where can i find a hat like that?
Love ur videos. If I could just make a couple suggestions : please block the suns glare and ur video looks much nicer and have a second camera that we could see the food closer while u r cooking. Thanks so much for filming these cooks and my mouth is watering.
I cant be the only one who gets excited when he grab's the pepper
Great video. Little of topic. Id love to for you to do some knife sharping/handling techniques. I watch you and the guys at the restaurants and when you go to cut the meat you cut through it with ease. Ive sharpens my knives and still can't cut through stuff like you do. Would love some tips.
Sure thing! I can do that, stay tuned.
Oh dear lord 🤤
Hi Paul, Love the videos.
Question: Your Terraki Sauce I see in the video is liquefied. All the Terraki Sauce I get is thick. Can you tell me what type you use or tips to get mine "watered" down. Keep it going. Have learned so much from you. Can't wait for summer to put on a show for the family poolside. Thanks again Keep on!!!!!
There’s a teriyaki recipe on the channel. In the description of that video is my favorite off the shelf teriyaki. The brand is Soy Vay. Thank you for giving my videos a watch, I’m glad your enjoying them!
👍👍👍🔥
dude that sun is killing me
Does cutting the chicken on the grill top without letting the meat rest release all the juices leaving it not as moist?
How do you keep your knife so sharp cutting on the hard Is steel surface
The knifes steel is harder than the steel the griddle top is made from.
How safe is it to cut directly on the rolled steel flatop vs a commercial stainless steel flatop? I've seen other griddle channels say not to cut on the surface since it damages the seasoned coating. Does it actually damage the flatop or seasoning based on hour experience?
In the restaurant we don’t season the grill and it’s a 3/4 stainless top. Cutting on that surface is a smoother experience. On rolled steel it’s not as smooth but it doesn’t harm the knife because the steel of the knife is harder than the steel of the griddle (measured by the Rockwell scale) As for harming the seasoning layer it’s less harmful than scraping/scrubbing the griddle. Both require proper technique in order to not harm the seasoning.
What temp to you set each burner at. Are the 2 outside burners lower compared to the 2 middle ones?(assuming you have a 4 burner blackstone)
I only have the middle two burners on.
Thanks for another great video... What type of knife do you use ? I need to buy one just like that.
It’s yoshihiro brand, high carbon blue steel. If I remember correctly it’s a 4 or 5 inch petty knife.
I went ahead and added the link in the description for the exact knife and also a cheaper comparable knife of the same brand.
@@thebackyardhibachi Thank you. I am going to get one of my own
Great cook! What brand of terriyake sauce do you use or is it homemade? If made at home, can you please provide the recipe? Thank you!
I have the recipe on my channel! If it’s off the shelf soy vay brand teriyaki.
Any particular brand of teriyaki sauce you like? What do the restaurants use? Thanks for the great videos, already subscribed.
Thank you for the sub! Off the shelf soy vay brand teriyaki is my favorite. In the restaurants we either make it from scratch or buy pre made and add ingredients.
Do you ever do any videos on how you prep the veggies?
I can do one. It'll be in the zero to HERO series.
Where do I find the recipe??
Hey Paul, everything you do is excellent by the way. Anyhow, my wife has some chicken already marinading in teriyaki. What would be your suggestion for this on the hibachi griddle? Would you cook it the same way? You are "adding" the sauce to unmarinated chicken in this video. Will it brown too much being already marinated? Thanks! Please do some updated new videos! I look all the time to see if you have posted. (We all know you are VERY busy!)
I would bbq the marinated chicken. But if you wanted to cook it on the griddle I would cook it low and slow so the marinade doesn’t burn.
@@thebackyardhibachi Thank You!
Love the content. What teriyaki sauce do you use?
Check out the teriyaki recipe on my channel
The over the counter link from Amazon is no longer available for the teriyaki sauce. What kind was it?
Are you concerned about cutting on your griddle top being it’s rolled steel and not 3/4" stainless steel like at the restaurants? I know a lot of UA-camrs recommend not cutting on it. Love the videos keep them coming.
I’m not overly concerned about it. As long as your knife’s steel is harder than the grills steel (measured by the Rockwell scale).
What noodles do you prefer to use?
On the package it’s a Taiwan or canton noodles.
I am always confused on what oil to use for different items on the griddle. Is there a guide for what is recommended for different foods? The sesame oil I use in my wok for fried rice doesn't always work well for my Blackstone hibachi meals, ect.
Stick to vegetable or canola oil. Sesame oils smoke point is far too low to be used in a wok or griddle.
Do you have any certain teriyaki sauce that you use or do you make you own? (If you make your own would love a video on that!)
I have the recipe used at the restaurants, I can make a video on this soon. My favorite of the shelf is soy vay brand.
@@thebackyardhibachi Yes please make a video on the teriyaki sauce. Thank you
Here is his teriyaki sauce video, looks like he followed through for you and made the video 👍🏽
ua-cam.com/video/Myae9aPXLGM/v-deo.html
Nice ! You need another camera focused on the grill so we can see every move....maybe a top down view.
Agreed.
Love this type of cooking good info. But when u edit the videos the POV icant see nothing ur the sun is ppls eyes
What temperature do you cook it at? High Medium?
400-420, use the oils smoke point as a reference
What’s the sauce made of? Would like to make my own
Just posted a teriyaki recipe on the channel.
What brand of sauces do you recommend
I make my own teriyaki, but off the shelf it’s Soy Vay brand . I believe I have a link in the discription. If you decide to use the link, thank you in advance!
What noodles you use?
Canton noodles
What is the temperature you usually cook at?
380-420
What temp is the grill set at?
It ranges 450-380.
Which Blackstone griddle is this.?
This is an older model with the grease trap on front
Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. Either a new house is being built or our neighbor is cooking again.
Wasn’t me!
Love it but the sun killed the lighting.
Its unfortunate, I didn't notice it until I was editing.
Wheres the teriyaki recipe?
Are all your burners on High or is cooler on the side zones where the veggies and noodles are at? I tried doing this tonite but my yakisoba noodles came out pretty tough lol
I have the middle two burners on. If your grill is too hot then you'll have to keep those noodles moving to keep it from getting crispy!
