God Bless you brother, I hope and pray you can get back to music and be done with all this war goin on in this world. be safe and may God Almighty Protect you and your families safely.
Demis why are you teasing me with that song in the first minute!? :( You know I've been begging you to release it for like a year now. PLEASEEEEEE .... I NEEEED!
Man. This a great workflow method. I get trapped in one and 4 bar loops and dead ends. Your method of building that hook is an instant improvement to mine. Release the Sylenth1
Brilliant! :) I had intended on sitting down for a gaming session, but instead did something much more productive, so thanks you. Subscribed & liked, I'm off to check out more of your output now :)
Wow bro, you just opened a channel to the Divine in just a few minutes! Trance is one of the most beautiful music genres where the light of G-d can be bestowed into our souls and bodies. By the way, this is the first time I got it clear how to make an arpeggio, i'm a samaritan producer born in Argentina and for years I wanted to discover how to make an arpeggio on my own and finally decided to look for a tutorial, I was on the right track but I thought all of this should be made using the reason arpeggiator, now I see it not in all cases you use the auto arpeggiator, but you design the arpeggio manually. I also was using lot of delay, more than 1 delay units and reverb to get a similar effect but it wasn't what I was looking for. There is a deep mystical explanation how trance work in jewish kabbalah.
Do you gave how to do a hard kicks with beats and uplifting groove also tips how to give more drive and speed to groove (not more bpm) from shakers or HH
I start slowing down before lunch too. Don't worry about it. I'm sure in Cubase there must be a random humanise button to select for velocity, length and note position. I use that in Logic all the time on everything apart from sub bass and kicks. Your arp workflow vids are always a winner for me.
Arpeggio and Reverb are very popular here 😎 So I will be looking at some reverbs and uses. I think a lot of people struggle with reverb and think you have to drown everything in it to get great atmosphere. Appreciate the comment Polzn as always 👍🏻
@@demishellen Regarding verbs, maybe talk about how long a long delay ought to be, how short a short verb should be, in sync or in millisecs predelays,, sends. What to be looking out for. I was using sends exclusively but recently I started using the synth delays & reverbs again keeping the layered sounds in sync still by using the same dial settings. I suppose everyone goes through phases of trying different things for a while then trying something else. No right or wrong way but sometimes it can sound messy if there is phasing and clashing. Looking forward to up coming tuts. I've learned from many pro producers in the last 2 years and quite often pros use the synth delays and reverbs instead of sends
Demis, I've been watching your trance arp videos and melody making videos. They've helped me tremendously. It also helped me realize the process of making the melody can extend throughout the song and give the listener a prelude into the melody and keep things very familiar throughout the track like trance should be. Learning these different styles and arps sparks tons of innovation and great inspiration in the tracks that I work on. Stay humble, stay awesome, Demis!!!
So that filter effect is just the mod wheel? What would those sounds be called in a piano like a yamaha montage or korg nautilus. Is it a saw or pluck or something else?
Helloo!!! I just wanna say thank you for all this trance tutorials... they are really nice to watch and learn from ... your voice and your explanation is just perfect... you make it easy to understand... i have been improving a lot watching your videos ... so thank you!
Not this time. Sometimes I just pull ideas together without really thinking about it. Thinking and trying too hard usually put ups the brick wall in my mind so I try to keep it loose.
First I was like yeah that's how I do this aswell, but eventually you do this a lot better than I do which is why I'm here =D Great video with a beautiful sounding preset!
i wonder what patch your using and from which pack i mainly use serum and would love to know which one of your preset packs you recommend for someone who hasnt made trance before also the arp in this video sounds exactly like a virtual self lead.
😂 I know it's a project that was put on hold. Got the project near completion now so it is among some of my ambient stuff I am perfecting at the moment.
F Sharp Major I think I do mention near the beginning of the screen capture I think. Honestly I play the piano all the time and if something sounds good I just go with it. F and A are always nice key to work with in my opinion. 😎
@@demishellen I think it's F# Lydian and as far as I know, it's actually just F# Major but the fourth note is one semitone higher. This scale sounds really beautiful for trance for its skyish and spacey quality that it became my most favorite scale. I can suggest you can do tutorial about the 7 major modes. You know about C Major and A Minor have the same notes right? I think there's something more interesting lurking here.
Why didn't I stumble upon this earlier 😍 Sounds great ! Inspiring tutorial ! Channel deserves much more views & subs 💯 I would appreciate a layered trance bassline tutorial as well !! Btw what vital preset & preset bank are you using ?

Maybe I will go all trance on my new stuff, thanks a lot!!!
Loved this thanks!
What’s the sound vid the keyboard classified as ow where can I find something similar
Although I don't know English. It was a very understandable educational video, thanks (I wrote it using google translator)😄
Beautiful pattern!
Thank you 😎
Stellar content on the arpeggio bro. Much needed info 👌
Great video :)
Cheers OWL, arpeggios are always a a good success :)
That was a great tutorial but even better was that melody! Great stuff.
Incredible video. What VST is this?
The synth used is Vital. It’s free to download. 🙂
Wow this is amazing .. please more
Really well done. Thank you for focusing on the midi work completely and explaining your decisions so efficiently.
Love this melody😍
It turned out pretty nice in the end, always nice to have it like that even without a plan.
Nice tutorial thanks for keeping trance know how up on yt
No problem 👍 thanks SV 😎
I could have that on loop for the rest of my life. Beautiful 😍
That’s a big statement. I bet you get bored after a few years 😉😎
Haha 😄 beautiful nonetheless! Love it!
this is a unique and amazing channel and i don't wanna ditch this channel out of my watching list for a very very long time hehe
Very much appreciated and great to hear. 😎 keep on learning it never stops 😎
It was fun to see you create an arpeggio by hand instead of using a synth's or sequencer's arp section. Thanks!
this synth patch is so fresh. is there a tutorial on this one? couldnt find one
It’s from Serum Trance Essentials exclusive to my loops. Link to the pack is in the description. 👍🏻
it's great to see you doing something like that. it always inspires me.
Thankyou. Inspiring is all I want to do 😎
So sick 🔥😁
Glad you like it 😎
Nice bespoke way to build arps manually for those that want more control compared to the built-in arps of synths or plugins.
Appreciate it Yannick, thank you. 😎
superb !
thanks boss.
You're welcome :)
very nice! Thank you very much! It helps a lot!
love your videos! could you potentially do one where you turn one of your trance arp ideas in to a full song?
fabulous, also great beard !! Keep em coming Demis

Hello. Would you recommend any vst plugins for creating arpeggio waveforms for beginners?
I’m a Novice at best, and I’m DAWless for the best part, but this video has been very insightful.
Nice job.
Amazing, great way to start composing !!
Beautiful melody or arp
I love this arp. I can’t wait to copy what you’ve done in this video and use this arp in my track.

best arp video out there

C, C#, G# over F#? Sounds like Lydian mode to me, which would explain the compelling upliftingness.

I think it'd help if you started by telling ppl what key this is in rather than just blopping about. Music theory is a good thing. :)
