Coleman listened when consumers complained about their frames being weak and the newer models have a good solid frame. I wish they would listen and go to a newer carb style too. You make it look way to easy, I'd have spilled fuel, torn the gasket, lost the 10mm socket etc haha, great job buddy!!!!
Haha thanks dude. What you don't know is this was the 7th take because the first 6 I either lost my 10mm, tore the gasket, tipped over the bike, spilled gas etc. etc.....lol jk. That's cool they upgraded the frames. I did not know that. You are correct about the carburetors though...how much more can it really cost to put a nicer carb on it. They are all made in China anyways....
Good job Kyle. Carburetor worked well and if you had to it is adjustable also. Dont know way they made the factory carbs unadjustable as they dont always work because every engine is alittle different just because of machining processes. 👍🇺🇸Roger
Question, i have 2 of the BT/CT200s. the BT bike takes off just fine, but the does not get to full open throttle, the cable is maxed out but the speed and engine you can tell its not. I believe it has the stock carburetor, would a dirty/gonk jet cause it not to be able to reach full open throttle? Got a new spark plug, new clutch, new gas, new air filter. i covered the basics, i think. all the springs are were they are supposed to. TIA
Good video KB also Burr it's cold up here in Canada we got 10° F also just replaced a carburetor on a Honda GX 270 snowblower been super busy with snowblowers lately
Nice vid, simple enough. I have a 100 Coleman minibike, actually 2 and I hardly ever get a chance to ride them. Now they both wont stay on, it will in choke but not once in non choke. What would you do to fix this? Is it my gas, I think they still have the original tank of gas in about 2 years they are new bikes. I have added some in but no change really. Do I have a dirty carb? or do you have buy a whole new carb? I even messed with one of the idle screws because it had backed out so much, but now Ive got it set about middle like I think it was? Or could be it be my air and gas mix screw? I cant figure this darn thing out.
If you don’t mind upgrading a crap carburetor you can remove the jet using a small back out. You can then instal a larger jet. Cheap upgrade for a nearly useless carburetor.
I'm not sure of your question...are you asking what size, or for what altitude? I'm not sure what they have in it. They don't give an option to replace it for the altitude so maybe that's why I run into issues where I am ~4500'?
@@kbssmallenginerepair2615 hi thanks for the reply! I was curious how it was jetted. I’m at 7,500 ft. My CTU 200ex-v was running really rich stock so I got the stage 1 kit from GPS and it came with a jet marked “95” it so far it seems to be working out. I have another stock EX-V (wife’s) and was thinking of swapping just the carb so I could lean it out using a smaller jet again.
Just have a question, wife just bought a real tree 100cc bike and we've only rode it once. Problem is it's hard to start and once started it continues to shut off after about a minute. Anything I can check or we can do to fix it?
I would just replace the carburetor. The carbs on those machines are junk. Look up a HiPA carburetor for a Honda gx series. It'll fire on the first pull.

Any aftermarket part that is plug, play and better than oem is a winner in my book.
Totally agree! It's always nice when it is nice and quick, and no headache.
Hipa reached out to me and is sending me some carbs to try out. I have used hipa in the past with good success!
Thanks for sharing Jeremy! Everything I have tested has worked out well so far.
Nice and detailed installation. It’s nice that they include adjustment on the new carb. Can’t beat a one pull start. 🤘🇺🇸
Thanks Alex! I was very pleased with this carb, and I love it when it starts first pull!
How awesome! HIPA also posted this video on FB💪🏽
Thanks Renaldo. Thanks for letting me know. That is pretty cool!
Great info that the carb is usable on multiple engines. That’s very helpful. I hope the winter season is treating you well!
Thanks David, it has been an unusually busy one for me. I hope you are doing well, thanks for stopping by!
I have always had good luck with HIPA carbs.
Thanks for sharing Max, I am having the same results.
Great video ,was extremely helpful and I greatly appreciate it!!
Awesome video brother . I'm really liking the hipa carbs they seem to work great . Thanks for the info on them the other day . Take care later
Thanks my friend! I'm glad it worked out for you! I appreciate our friendship!

Thanks Roger. You are correct, I wish they would put a nicer carb on them. Can't be that much more expensive?? Job security I guess...
Nice video KB, I've used several aftermarket carbs over the years and have found the Hipa ones to be of better quality.
Thank you John! I agree, HiPA is really coming through with their products. I have been really impressed.
Oh yes, same here brother.
The choke lever has a cylindrical protrusion where you can use it as a stopper for your fuel line.
Excellent tutorial. Thanks for the video. I want that bike.
Thank you Butler! Come over and take one, I've got a whole garage full of them...
Great job!!! I only see one problem... You didn't do a wheelie !!! Lol
Thanks T-Bone, I was afraid you were going to say that...I am just waiting for a battery powered bike so I can match yours lol

Thanks Matt. Glad to hear you are staying busy, although that is quite cold. It is cold here as well however we haven't gotten much snow.

Question with this carb man.. You think with the air filter kit on Amazon, is it compatible with this carb? Thanks.
Also could you recommend me the Hipa Carb for the Coleman CT100u bike in case I go that route?
Hip hop hip to the hipaty hip hip hip hop you don't stop , anyways yeh 👍 😆 I want to go for a test run 🤚🏻
Thanks Bill, come on over and take it for a whirl....
Wow, That was an awesome job as always brother! What did the air filter say to the carb???? The chokes on you.......lol
Thanks Detective! HAHAHA You sure got me on that one. lol. That was a good one. I might have to use that from time to time.

Good review Kyle. I'm happy with the hipa carbs so far. Does hipa give you a new carb anytime you need one lol?
Thanks Artie! They have worked well for me so far also. I will send you an email...
@@kbssmallenginerepair2615 Thanks anyway Kyle I have all the info. I used one on a snow blower that worked well 👍
Great video it would be nice to hear what you thought of the performance after installing it and maybe a link to buying one thanks
informative tutorial video. Will you start the next small engine rebuild project?
