- my first edited video on UA-cam on how to shim your crank for your motorized bike.
Shim size is:
Shim Flat Washer, 18-8 Stainless Steel, 5/8" Bolt Size, 0.632" ID, .750" OD, 0.008" Thick (Pack of 25)
The metric size for these is a 16x22x0.2, thankfully they are easy to find and come in bulk sizes so if you build performance oriented mills instead of from crate motors they are very easy to score.
@Franklin Freewheeler if you find them in 15mm id then get them, the only shim washers I could find remotely closer were 16 and were being sold by a kit/parts seller so *shrug*
very cool . wish you would have shown how you put it together . but i guess its pretty explanatory. good job
wow looks like im your 3rd subscriber . hope you do more videos . your pretty good at it .

Do you know of where I can buy a crank shaft for a 49cc 2 stroke. I installed a pull starter and since went back to just pedal starting it.. the damage was done though. when the magnet broke it SNAPPED it clean in half.
Ya that sucks.. Amazon and eBay good place to start..
nice vidio guyss 👍👍👍
Thanks :)
@@motorizedbikestuff5339 you're welcome
My motor has twice as much play and hasn’t gave me an issue from the crank is it really worth the hassle of shimming it unless it’s really bad?
it said,..that if it moves around alot it can cause the needle bearing on the wrist pin to walk,.if it moves out of alignment to far it will destroy the needle bearing,.then the pieces get in the motor and case bearings and the motors toast thats why they usually shim that at the factory ,..or not as in this case.your motor your call.
Stop wasting all your time take the crank apart add another gasket and screw the thing together nice and tight that's all you have to do I've been putting these two things together and never used a shame once I don't even know what it looks like use two gaskets that'll fix your problem.
LOL so how would making even more room between the crank and case solve that problem? that would make it even farther out lol the reason being if the crank can move back and forth that means the wrist pin needle bearing can walk ou t causing catastrophic failure ,.but youve done some many of these you know that already right? lol thanks for the input though.
