My motorbicycle is finally put back together. The custom new wheel took me all day to do handmade I made sure to grease my bearings and adjust the cone nuts and axle just perfect, I installed a 16T freewheel on the threaded steel hub with some copper antisieze so I have the nicest gear ratio for hill climbing and the rest of the time I just throttle and coast. I have one issue, I substituted the cotter pin on my #415 drive chain using a piece of paperclip, I hope it won’t snap off or I’d get stranded. If my tire goes flat, I will file the spoke ends a little more and use fresh rim tape and see if I can find a new 25C tire that has slightly more tread than my favorite verdenstine blue sided 700X25C foldable road tires

As i was building an engine using strictly old used parts from about 3 different motors, i realized i did not have a base gasket. So using an old tore up one as a template i transfered the pattern onto an old betty crocker cake mix box. Smeared a little high temp rtv on both sides and it held up fine for many miles. Other things eventually failed over time, but my cake box gasket held strong

With an iron bore you need to use chrome rings. The minerelli 47mm piston should work alright with a few modifications. With a steel sleeve, you can use the stock rings just fine however I'm going to try the minerelli piston since chrome rings should work alright with steel bores

La hover bikes my first build was a 49cc and the cheap nt carburetor was leaking from the prime button and it melted from the gas. The prime button melted and fell out. So I used a syringe cap off of a needle for the fix it fitted in the hole perfect and no more leaks until my jug cracked in the intake port and I junked the engine. .

one workaround I did in my bt100 was using a 27mm to 30mm seat post adapter to adapt an 27mm crank seal to 30mm hehe. It still had a small gap I filled with heat-tolerant glue. It works but depending the 2 stroke oil I use it still leaks the mix to the clutch chamber :/

Ok, so I had the little pin that holds the clutch release arm in place on the cover break,, the release arm popped out of the cover, so effectively had no clutch,
Had to get home some how,,
Took cover off , found a piece of coat hanger and cut a bit, put the release arm in place and jammed the piece of hanger in far enough to hold the arm.
It worked until the cover cracked at the jammed pin, so I kept my left foot on top of the arm stopping it from popping out to get home

Check out a product called Alumiweld & videos on it....It allows you to "weld" (more like soldering aluminum on steroids) aluminum with nothing but the rods, a clean stainless steel wire brush and a propane torch. It takes a bit to get the hang of how to direct the torch heat for proper adhesion but when done right, the welded area will be stronger or just as strong as the aluminum. Harbor Freight sells them under a different name, or make friends with someone who has an aluminum MIG or TIG welder. But if JB weld will work then that's awesome. I seen HF (years ago, dunno if they still do) had a JB weld like 2 part mix that was made specifically for aluminum parts.

These makers really need to return these engines back to the old school Schnuerle port standards of the originals. Their full circle cranks and increased porting doesn't help the low RPM take off, having cutouts for the counterweights instead of drilling the crank circles, and keeping the porting conservative, like DKW or SAAB's old 2 strokers, increase the stroke to 43mm and keep the displacement low with a 37mm piston. Then these engines would pull great from below 2500rpm.
