I haven't played HLD because i don't enjoy really hard games but i love the style they have. Solar ash immediately appealed to me when i saw it recently. I picked it up on sale for about 30 bucks with the OST and it's literally perfect in my opinion. The movement, the visuals, the level design, the bosses, the story, the music... it's a masterpiece as far as i'm concerned and one of my favorite games ever! I also played it a month after losing my grandfather (bless his soul), when i finally could go through the day again without crying. This game was the first enjoyable thing since that happened, the first bit of joy that came into my life again. I'll forever love this game dearly
I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather's passing, but glad you can find comfort in art. Everything you listed as perfect about this game, I would say hits so much harder for HLD, but I understand the difficulty could deter some people. I just finished Sea of Stars, and think you may be able to find a similar type of enjoyment from that game.

Some constructive criticism- Listing all of the movesets/upgrades and showing the full map could be considered spoilerish. I would also try to explain more of how you enjoyed certain aspects (like the boss fights) rather than just explaining what it is.
