Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion Review
If the characters weren't so unappealing
While I do agree the still images used to tell the story might turn off some people I honestly thought they looked good (little detailed effects and transitions were exceptionally done). I don’t think every game should incorporate ‘open world’ mechanics, and also think it was a wise decision the developers chose a more linear approach to get the action and combat rolling. With that said I think your review is fantastic and more people should give this game a fair shot!
sweet video and top notch editing if I may say so - its about time that girl pulls her own weight, links not running a charity here
I absolutely LOVE Gravity Rush, I came across the remastered version on PS Plus Premium for free, super fun all the way through, I platinumed it, then I platinumed the sequel which was also free with Premium, then I dug out my PS Vita and actually bought the original version and platinumed it as well.
Damn, going back to the original after the remaster, that's dedication.
@@pungentfunk Yeah, I just love it so much, my only complaints about the original are the map is annoying since it doesn't let you look at all sections, only the section you're in. And the gravity slide controls in the original sucks.
@@JAYDOG1337A completely agree about the maps.
I really loved those games. I'm really saddened it'll probably never get the credit it deserves. Well, maybe at least you will get credit for your very nice job ! Have a like and a subscribe ❤
I appreciate the kind words and support. It's too bad Sony makes a habit of abandoning their own IPs.
The game does feel like it gets easier as you play more hardcore, I don’t know if this is getting used to the timing or getting suit upgrades like the lower dash cooldown one. But the first hour felt beyond painful for me especially the first major area and it’s EXTREMELY SMALL WINDOW of opportunities presented here compared to later areas
The Mega Man Legends series was legendary.
Yes it was. We need a "Mega Man Legends: Legacy Collection"
Great content. Don’t know why but im getting vibes of old video games restrospectives i used to watch on yt back in the early 2018 in HS. Would love to see some more and even longer retrospectives man
I appreciate that. I tend to alternate between new and old games, playing whatever interests me at the moment. I had been meaning to replay these for a while, so I figured I'd play them both between big new releases.
You got me excited these were on PC now.. 😢
If Sony has any sense, that would be a great first move to renew interest in the series before working on a new installment.
A shame this is a PS exclusive.
PC version is allegedly in the works.
peak. next question.
Great review
0:07 Gran Turismo mentioned ❤🔥 I like the idea and style of the game but the camera makes me nauseous...maybe im just old. Either way, great review of gregory rush
I just finished the game and it was amazing do you have any recommendations for similar games?
Planet of Lana was a beautiful game that is mechanically similar to this. I recently reviewed it and loved it.
@@pungentfunk I’ll check that out
Sounds like a decent game to give my kid. I’ll look into it. Thanks for the review!
I feel like it's illegal to find such a high quality review on a small channel in 2024. Dude seriously I'm 1.5 minutes in and I'm hooked. Giving you a Sub. Please remember me when your channel explodes!!!
Thank you so much. I'm going to keep aiming for one video per month, and improving my content as much as I can manage. I appreciate the support!
I randomly stumbled upon this video while listening to background videos at work. I was immediately captivated by the quality of the content, to the point that I needed to stop and watch this review. I was shocked to see that you were a smaller channel and uploading content of this quality. Going through some of your other game reviews, I can see the passion that you have for the games that you play and the content that you produce. Really looking forward to exploring the rest of your videos, as well as future reviews to come. Amazing work. Subscribed.
Thank you so much for the kind words and support. It really means a lot!
Great review of a game I've never heard of, subscribed and looking forward to the next review
Thanks a lot, I appreciate the support!
seems like a cute game - great review funklord
It's cute as hell dawg.
Played it a bit with a my girlfriend and we’re loving it so far!
Got my wife to play it after I completed it. It's such a relaxing and visually captivating experience.
Thanks for the review! Time for another play through I reckon. 😅 4:30 😂😂😂
Thank you for taking a brief moment to mention my favorite feature of 2&3, the online orbs :) It's because Peter decided this would be a "good addition" to the games, I have had the pleasure of interacting with/befriending hundreds of other players over Xbox Live, giving them gifts, helping with achievements, and what not. It's unfortunate they didn't expand on this system or give it a more community oriented (dare I say mmo) purpose but alas, it's always nice to see people online on a 16 year old game. The real tragedy with 2 lies in their decision to poorly implement online co-op play. The awkward shared fixed camera and henchman system speaks for itself. It was nice they vastly improved upon this in 3. Solid Review nonetheless 👍
Yeah, I understand the fixed camera for couch co-op, but online co-op should have allowed each player to control their own.
Solid stuff, man!
I really do hope someone mods the game to add sonic or even spark the electric jester
Yeah the characters are so ugly
great review funk
Anybody else notice the medieval pumped up kicks?
Great vid bby 😊
SERIOUSLY, thanks for putting me on to the additional mechanics of this game!
no problem! Use the grapple hook aggressively!
Wow! I was looking for a good review of this game. Happy to stumble on this channel. So many good reviews. Subscribed!
I appreciate the kind words & support!
For me, all the positive aspects of the game, like the beauty of it, facial animations, sound and music, were dissolved in a vat of boredom. To all the people who are saying “Gameplay is not the main thing, but the main thing is the story, graphics, music and something else.” I will say to all of you that this is called a video game, not a video-cartoon or something else. Gameplay is always the main thing because the player should be interested in playing the game, and not just watching cutscenes and press W for five hours.
Personally, I don't think any medium should be constrained by convention, and I quite enjoy when developers (artists) get experimental. While I'm usually not a fan of interactive film-type games, there are a few exceptions. But, it's essential to understand the type of experience before going in to avoid disappointment.
@@pungentfunk I have played Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain, The Walking Dead. These games weren't masterpieces, but I still didn't get bored playing them. Because they weren't walking simulators.
@@Vladdy89 I, too, find walking simulators boring. But I love seeing artists use different mediums in unconventional ways, and occasionally I find myself enjoying something I normally would not gravitate to. I loved the first Hellblade, and I think I would have enjoyed this one more if it had been a different IP, with the marketing emphasizing it as an interactive film. The lack of gameplay compared to simple traversal is my biggest criticism of Hellblade II.
Thank you
any time!
stellar review - stellar game - Eve is waifu ❤
Definitely agree on a Switch port being a smart move, great watch!
much appreciated!
Really enjoyed the video. Got my platinum trophy weeks ago, but I love the combat system and just keep up with the boss challenges. The platforming was a bit dodgy, but I still enjoy the gameplay overall.
Great review, but one correction: There are 5 save slots, not 1. To activate a new save slot, choose "New Game" from the menu (NOT New Game Plus). I suppose you could look at it as 1 save slot per playthrough, but you can have up to 5 different playthroughs, each including as many NG+'s as you want.
I realized that, but figured it wasn't worth mentioning since it didn't address the larger issues caused by not having traditional save slots.
Another great review. I hope you continue to do quality content. You now have a loyal subscriber
Great review. I adore this game. It's something special.
It really is. The whole thing is built primarily around being stylish & fun. Best gaming experience I've had in a long time!
Its actually very refreshing to play a game like this and it keeps you wanting more.
One of the best Reviews of Stellar Blade on UA-cam, congrats my brother, the Sky is not the Limit! Like and Sub✌️
I really appreciate that. Thanks so much for the support!
This is quality content. Keep it up
Thank you for the kind words, it means a lot!
I will definetly sub in your channel
I already feel like normal mode is annoyingly difficult. Rei feels like she's on skates in the worst possible way. I have trouble getting her to not run off platforms, to not overshoot turns etc... this gets worse in the boss fights where the camera hides where I'm trying to go to (and yes, I can move the camera, but since I'm racing against time, I'd rather the camera fixed itself).
Man the music makes me wanna replay all of it
Wow another great video!

Nice review, Legends it's on my top 3 favorite series alongside Star Force and ZX, really love Legends 1 and 2 a lot, some of my favorite games ever. Here's hoping Capcom finally does something in the near future..
Mega Man Legends 2: Episode 1 (JP Exclusive) recently got an English fan patch.
Loved the review! Thank you for it I was pretty good, loved the editing and the thumbnail! It was a pleasure to work with you, we're working hard for the game to be expanded and to be even better!
Can't wait to see what's to come in future updates!
Thank you for reviewing the game!! We plan on expanding upon it as soon as possible in many ways!
Wow, it's truly pathetic that someone wasted their time developing such a blatant rip-off like "Rollin Rascal." I mean, talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas. Who in their right mind would even bother playing a knock-off when they could just enjoy the real deal with Sonic? It's like they took a sledgehammer to the concept of creativity and smashed it to pieces. And don't even get me started on those sorry excuses for characters and levels. It's like they raided the reject bin of character designs and called it a day. I wouldn't touch "Rollin Rascal" with a ten-foot pole, let alone waste my precious time on it. Whoever came up with that garbage should seriously reconsider their career choices, because game development clearly isn't their forte.
Womp womp
You do realize Sega is okay with this, right? Besides, The speed based platformer isn’t trademarked or anything
