Yes, when Elvis sold this home he sold the furniture and all. The movie used the actual Hillcrest home and the contents. Therefore, we see it as Elvis saw it. The new owners changed nothing.
Absolutely the best version and take of Elvis Presley we have seen heaps of impersonated even though Austin Butler did a great job and worked so hard to sound like Elvis simply Kurt Russell and his first wife Season Hubley i believed who acted as Priscilla did the most convincing true image of Elvis and Priscilla awesome movie even the whole cast Shelley Winters played Elvis mother brilliant actress too i have mentioned to friends if they have spare time watch Elvis the movie 1979.
Saw the Austin Butler one this weekend. Not even close... not just his impression/looks but the whole film was frentic, no character building, chronology all over the place. Just poor. Kurt Russell (and Ronnie McDowell) will never be beaten for me.
I have seen both films and until Austin I always thought Kurt was the best. But U have 2 be honest Austin did an amazing job. By the way Kurt acted in the movie but the singing was actually Rodney McDowell that was singing. In the Elvis 2022 Aystin did all the early singing and in the later years the morphed Elvis and Austin singing together. Look wise Kurt truly looks like Elvis in general. But the performance Austin gave it was like u were watching Elvis himself. Trust the best 2 jobs was Kurt and Austin. By the way I own both movies. Plus Kurt 1st role was playing the young boy who kicked Elvis in the leg in the It Happened At the Works Fair.

The only problem is.... Elvis recorded Suspicious Minds at the American Sound Studio sessions in Nashville beginning in January of 1969 and another session in February. So, for Elvis to be practising these songs in 1969 as the on-screen titles suggest, that means the setting is between January 1st, 1969 and January 12th, 1969 since they began the session in Nashville on the 13th. The exterior shot makes it look awfully warm in L.A. for January of 1969. Also, if this were supposed to take place at Elvis' Los Angeles home (which it didn't).... why would Elvis and the backup singers have microphones? There's obviously no need for a public address system and they for sure weren't recording this. They rarely (if ever) recorded rehearsals unless they were at a studio. The only time (to my knowledge) that a mobile recording setup was dispatched was to Graceland for what would later be known as the Jungle Room sessions but that wouldn't happen until February of 1976!
Kurt might have played Elvis better than anyone until Austin Butler, but the odds of Tommy Cogbill having a Peavey bass rig in 1969 was very slim. The company was only founded in 1965 and did not begin to sell in high quantities until the 1970s. Unless the producers had first hand knowledge of Tommy's gear at the time, I call that inaccurate. Heck the whole scene is inaccurate. Elvis recorded Suspicious Minds at American Sound Studio in Memphis at the same time he recorded his From Elvis in Memphis album. Certainly nowhere near California lol.
I only saw this movie ones and now after watching ELVIS with Austin Butler many times already, I want to see this one with Kurt Russell and see the difference in them but can’t find the movie..
It's a shame Kurt Russell couldn't have used his own singing voice as Elvis in that Tv Movie.I don't even know whether he could've sung or been able to have even done Elvis' signature singing voice in the 1st place.
As far as playing Elvis...Austin Butler, he really sings, acts and talks like Elvis and the movie is in the eyes of the promoter Tom Parker so the story focuses more on his relationship with Elvis
With Kurt, he looks a lot more like Elvis and can talk like him and act like him but did not sing in this movie....Austin does better in a full performance because he is not impersonating, he embodied Elvis....See the movie
@@EvetteHeim1 I seen the new elvis hated Tom hanks! He hoged up most of the movie trying to make him self look good. When in real life he was part of the cause that drove Elvis to his death! Thanks for the advise God bless! T.C.B.

My grandpa is the man playing guitar in the white pants!
How he played elvis so good well done mate
Great voice and beautiful man
Filmed at Elvis’ actual Trousdale Estate home in Bel Air.
Thnx for letting me know! Great digs!
Wow! That's awesome! I like this better then the new Elvis movie! 😀
@@JoeRuizLordoftheRings Kurt’s portrayal was outstanding

Kurt Russell seviyoruz, çok güzel oynamıştı Elvis i 👍👏👏❤️
Fantastic film
Elvis fan forever .
Bit if trivia:
Kurt Russell, as a child actor, was in a Elvis movie!
& kicked Elvis in the shin
Yes, the Movie was “It Happened At The Worlds Fair “
It happened at the world's fair
And as a teenage actor, I appeared in a Kurt Russel movie!

Nos anos 80 esse filme passoi no SBT muito bom.
Sooo Goood
So good
best Elvis ever
From being featured in one of Elvis' movies "it happened at the world's fayre" to being Elvis himself in the 1979 biopic.
Yeah, he knew Elvis on the movie set.
He kicked Elvis, poor guy, but he asked for it...
I like how Joe Mantegna plays Joe Esposito (black and white shirt sat down) and he played Joey Zasa in the third Godfather film...
❤❤❤❤❤😊

I bought the blu-ray. Just couldn't find it on tv anywhere
it's on UA-cam in its entirety.,

The best
I love this movie Kurt and Austin really look like Elvis they have his dance moves and voice. Kurt, Austin and Elvis looks like they could be triplets
Ronnie McDowell is the singer here. Agree w/everyone who says this is the best Elvis interpretation.
It’s good but austin was the best

This performance was good, but Austin Butler managed to actually sing like Elvis.
the name of the movie
"Elvis". Its from 1979 and was made for TV.
Elvis, I guess?
is that joe mantegna?
I think he's better than Butler
Lol please, elvis never did shoulder twitching like Russell
James Burton never sang harmony.
Think the buttler elvis was to exaggerated

Austin had more time. TV vs. Movie
@@j5muscle So what
Perfectly said
Plus with today’s technology, Austin was able to do more extensive research
I don’t agree. Elvis was very hyper, and Russel behaves naturally. plus, Austin looked eerily plastic in the movie.
Kurt Russell is too much of himself. Ryan r
Too nervous
Trash demais ....
I honestly do not like him as elvis
Pessimo play back
Elvis forever we love you .
