It’ll inevitably happen - we live in a corporatocracy (govt that’s run by the highest bidder), and there’s too much profit incentive to ignore making sexbots for inçèls. The problem is this: genuinely realistic sexbots (ones that are believably real) will not come around in Gen-Z’s lifetime, and even if they do, they’ll be so prohibitively expensive to buy/maintain/repair, that your average ìńçèl (who is usually middle/lower class) will probably have to go to a “bròthel”, where you can rent one for an hour or so, and even still that will probably cost hundreds upon hundreds of dollars an hour, because they know average men are so sexually frustrated that they would happily pay those rates. And even still, it’s not going to provide the same sort of psychological satisfaction that you get from making love to a beautiful girl whom you know is genuinely attracted to you. I don’t see anything wrong with sexbots, but, I think legalizing, regulating, and (sort-of) destigmatizing “pay for play”/prozztitushun is ultimately a more realistic solution for the next decade or so.

On your comments about some un-living themselves, I've had SOOO many conversations with strangers over the years, both face to face and online, that were seriously thinking of un-aliving themselves. Right out of the blue, I think it's in total over 30 people, 29 of which were men between 25-40. What really surprised me was that most of them had no situations on their lives where you would say " oh man, that's just awful" but instead they lacked purpose. They lacked a reason to wake up and get out of bed the next day apart from surviving. They were breathing for the sake of breathing. Nothing really made their day, if something good happened it was a small splash of colour in a sea of grey. They were all educated folks, had decent jobs , they weren't making too much or too little, they weren't striving to survive or making bank either. They were just living a life of mediocrity for their standards and that just drained the life out of them. Some had stood on the edge, just a breath away from a short flight. Others had actually researched how to do it with minimal interference to their world. They didn't want random strangers having the fright of their lives or their parents to get completely devastated so their were explaining to me how they would do it instead.
For them, un-aliving themselves was an everyday thought, an old reliable partner. I still got some of them on my bnet list. Part of them hasn't logged for years. I hope they found their purpose, whatever that was.I'm just glad we shared a moment in a fantasy world, two strangers talking to each other like old friends.

Sure thing there is no excuse for slacking. But sometimes I have the feeling its never enough. Even if someone has everything it needs there is no closure, no nice words, just being alone and waiting till the right person arrives in one lifes, some wait 30 years till they meet someone who truly fits to them. It's not related to intrusive thoughts

Honestly who cares? What is weird about it is if humans create an organism more capable than themselves, that is successful evolution. It would be the equivalent of a single celled organism suddenly reproducing an elephant or something within the space of a single generation. Why would you really care about preserving the human genome when your own species has created something else that makes it inferior?
If your species has created an organism that is better than themselves, you can still technically say evolution has done its job. If the technology we create does our own job better than us, then it is more evolutionarily advantageous for nature to favor the better model by making the previous redundant. You don't need to reproduce when you have created an organism that is better than anything else you'd be reproducing.

It was a funny line, yes. But unfortunately the comparison doesn't hold..... because farming a mount drop once a week isn't like wasting 15 years trying to make one woman assuaged who then changes her mind and disappears with your stuff. Imagine farming a mount in wow that you can only try once every 15 years.... then a 30% chance is terrible.

Repeat after a divorce can have little (the girl is lovely but you 2 just don't click anymore so its better to just leave on a friendly note and she doesn't try to get all your stuff) to major consequences (gets have your stuff, gets your kids, makes you miserable for a few years, lies about you for r8pe and domestic abuse, etc).
So "repeating" and farming it ain't that good of an idea. Its more like a doing a dungeon that has 50% change to kill you in real life. And I bet not many are going to take that gamble.

A big problem is that even when you go to this "weird surface world" as Joe put it, people simply don't differ much from the online world and even are more alien. Everyone is heads deep into their smartphones and socialmedia and whenever you try to approach someone and do social interactions they just want to be left alone.

"and whenever you try to approach someone and do social interactions they just want to be left alone"
that isnt my experience at all, most poeple actually reciprocate. how often did you try? did you only try at public transport, where everyone has a goal, instead of like a park, a public swimming facility, a festival etc? did you try at all?
im seriously baffled at that notion that everyone wants to be left alone, truth couldnt be more different. and im no chad, im talking to both males and females. if i see someone isnt in the mood ill go, but more often than not, they actually enjoy chatting. im from a bigger city in germany.

I mean... For the part talking about delivery robots... Didn't these guys know this was going to happen? I was surprised when I heard these robots were a thing in the US because I figured this would happen nearly instantly.
