I held off doing this one as a video already exists of it, but I recently checked out the first couple of minutes and saw that it allowed the use of Magic Stones. It may be 100% necessary to use them to complete the game, but given the madness that ensued (and educational value) of no-junction FFVIII Attack Only, I wanted to push the challenge a little further with my own take on it, and not allow the use of Magic Stones for as long as possible.
The series will be similar in approach to FFX Auto Battle, with a voiceover style as opposed to real-time commentary, tighter editing to remove much of the excess and fortnightly episodes to give the series more structure and provide something for people to look forward to.

The explanation of the lower/higher damage limit formulas and weapon variables was super interesting. Nice work.
I also love the roses of may playing in the background for Beatrixs fights.
For reference (to anybody who would follow along on this challenge or just use it in a causal run and didn't know this): You can also have Freya win the Festival of the hunt by entering a battle, and have Zidane attack himself to "lose" instantly. It is a very commonly known strategy for speedrunners, and that way, you don't have to sit around and wait for like 5 minutes or however long to get the coral ring reward (and risk rng for vivi to win instead). I could however see it not being known on a general aspect, since usually, when you lose in a battle, it tends to end up in a game over.
Your Trance bar increases every time you get hit by a random number between 1 and your current Spirit stat, which is why sometimes it seems like it doesn’t go up at all, because it’s gone up by literally 1 single point. And you enter Trance once you’ve gained 255 points. Then once you’re in Trance, each action you take will lower that number by ([(300 - Level)/Spirit] * 10), however also some Abilities lower the stat more than others. For example Vivi’s Black Magic lowers his Trance less than were he to use an Item instead for example.

Tip for Festival of the Hunt: if you start a fight and game over while Freya is in the lead it will guarantee her to win. I've done it every time I've played because 5k is dog water and the card is only situationally good if you're doing that kinda run.

I think the rackets that Garnet/Eiko can use are wind elemental as well, so you can boost their damage with certain equipment too.

Did anyone notice some weird fluttering from the Sea Lion's wings?
For the Beatrix fight it’s just a survival fight. You have to survive so many rounds to complete it
For the festival of the hunt if Zidane gets Knocked Out Freya just wins. Or it may be who ever is in the lead wins, I cant remember exactly but I always just let Zidane get KO-ed

If the daggers/double-edged swords use Str and Spr for damage calculation, wouldn't the glass buckler have been the better option to raise Zidane's damage?
If you have Zidane kill himself whilst Freya or Vivi are in the lead then they win.
I thought daggers use the normal attack formula and (spirit + strength)/2 was for the double bladed swords and stieners late game swords.

Actually I dont think Vivi can win in the hunt festival if you do nothing. You have to trigger the fight against the zaghnol, and kill freya and yourself. Then, vivi should win. There's even a steam achievment for it
