Hi Persolaise. I'm so glad your vintage fragrance buys have really worked out. I hope you & Mme P had a lovely holiday. Wearable souvenirs are the best kind. 💐😉
Even bigger smile for this one! Diorella was a fave of my mum’s many, many years ago and it’s so lovely to see and hear your reaction to something that I really can smell in my mind. Congratulations on your purchase of the year!
Glad you enjoy them! I'm always curious about the story behind unused fragrances from decades ago. I just got myself a bottle of Givenchy Insensé in a sealed box and I'm happy like a child.
Hi I had bought higher for my man in 2006 and he wore it for a few years in a row along with the shower gel 😊 and I am so glad that Diorella is in good condition because I was one of those who erged you to buy it😅
So happy for you that you got two precious bottles during your travels and to have you back😀. Not familiar with Higher, it seems you have special memories of your twenties associated with it. I have a vintage Diorella, my bottle and box look like yours and is indeed perfectly preserved, stored in the fridge, it is so distinctive, Le Parfum de Thérèse which I sampled recently is always compared to it but I found Diorella has more layers, punchier I think.
Your face says it all , so happy that your Dior,s are in good order , especially the Diorella as we made you buy this one 😂. Wonderful to have you back 😊x
Diorella îs a great masterpiece, on the top ten for life!! It's a great story book, when you can't wait for the next chapter after a short break; that's the dry down of this perfume for me. Now, I am really tempted to look for a vintage bottle, though I really adore the reformulated version just as well, very wearable. All up for a side by side if you decide to do it!! Thank you.
Adore Diorella. Last week in my local charity shop I found a sealed Diorissimo in very similar looking packaging to your Diorella, also in 112ml. It’s EDT atomiser, with ‘Réf 6424’, whatever that may mean… Still plucking up the courage to open it!
Thanks for your great reviews. I haven't sampled Chanel No19 in years. I got a bottle of Demachey Diorella recently. I like it, and wondering if it is similar to 19, so I don't have to buy 19 at those eye gouging prices the Wertheimers set. I'd love to know your thoughts on this.
I've the same bottle of Diorella. The key to the good old formula is actually carrot seed (see also an interview with Jean-Claude Ellena on Fragrantica). Frederic Malle made me think Heaven Can Wait might be a reinterpretation of Diorella with the carrot seed up top, but I guess not (got that too).
I‘m so glad Diorella worked out for you! I have one with one of these crazy continuous spray atomizers and it’s glorious. I see similarities to Cristalle EdP, do you? BTW have you spoken about Dioressence on this channel? Apologies if you have but I‘d love to hear your take on it. 😊
Congrats on finding a nice Diorella. You should think about decanting a bit in a sprayer you trust, then uses some PTFE tape on the bottle threads to seal it up for storage. Although I am probably sure you know this 😎 Welcome back, I love your videos. 🙏 I have added another fragrance to my rotation from your recommendations, Gold Man, and it is incredible. Our shared love of Habit Rouge has paid off for me again. On me, Gold Man suits similar moods as Balenciaga Pour Homme and Habit Rouge. Wonderful stuff. If you are still reading, I would love to hear your take on Zooligist’s Sacred Scarab some time. It has me on a new search to find a woody aldehyde with florals, as I love Scarab, but still find it just slightly sweeter than I want. But the aldehydic Lotus opening is incredible.
@@Persolaise update: it’s beautiful! Glad I copied you :) I lucked out and got a sealed bottle in seemingly perfect condition and wow does it sparkle. I know you’re not an enormous Dusita groupie, but I have a sample of ‘Cavatina’ from them and currently smelling them side-by-side. If you haven’t smelled it, I suggest you give it a try because the Lily of the Valley used in it seems…strikingly similar! That said, I don’t have a very well-trained nose so maybe I’m leading you astray but thought you might be intrigued 🌚
How wonderful that you found two gems! The black bottle Higher fetches for a pretty penny on eBay, I can only imagine the Diorella!
I was very, very lucky.
Mr P, your perspective on perfume is so profound. I enjoy all of your work and glad to be on this journey with you.
That's so kind -- thank you.

You're absolutely right.
Thanks very much for watching.

Congratulations on your purchase of the year!
Thank you so much!
So lucky to have found the original Diorella was my favourite perfume in my late teens plus diormissimo
Those two are very special compositions.
The excitement for vintage finds is something else. Glad that they turned out to be in good condition.
Me too! The Diorella is just heaven.
Glad you enjoy them!

Ah, great purchase. Enjoy it!
I really enjoy higher I have a silver bottle and the Mrs loved it so much she got one for herself ❤
I’m so pleased to read this.

And I’m so grateful to you for the encouragement!

I'm so glad you like the current version too.
So pleased for you 👏. I was one the enablers and you'll forever associate it with your holiday
Thank you!
Les Clochettes Du Bonheur Roja Dove is really worth checking out as a very good modern version of Diorissimo.
Well, the name is certainly a reference to lily of the valley. I'll have to check it out.

Please open it, and then come back and let us all know what state it’s in.
I am so in love with your passion 😍
After Higher, Eau Noir was the first relevant change before Dior Homme.
And then the first Dior Homme Intense - wrap your arms around me. It was after Fahrenheit, the top of the Mountains Glaciers warm Castle.
Thanks very much indeed for taking the time to write.
I have all the Dior vintages, they are unbeatable in my opinion.
Treasure them all!

I’d have to revisit his Diorella.
Thanks very much for watching.
I love to see you so happy smelling these vintage scents.Congrats on the finds and listening to your fans.
Thanks very much. I’m so glad I listened.

Well, HCW certainly didn't make me think of Diorella. I think Malle revisited that scent in Eau De Magnolia.
Many thanks for watching.

I honestly can't remember if I have. You'll find an index of all my reviews here: persolaise.com/perfume-reviews

Very good advice, thank you. And I'm so pleased to have added yet another name to the long list of Gold admirers.
Welp - I just bought a vintage bottle of Diorissimo because of this. Pray for me
Keeping all fingers and toes crossed.
Please come back and let us know what it was like.

I love Diorella.
Me too. Absolute classic.
Are you going to get Myhrre Miestiere by Tom Ford?? Would love a review!
I hope so. But I don't have a sample yet.
