This is helpful especially given the merciless heat we've had here in the US. It was 102 the other day with 86 percent humidity. I need to try the Eau de Guerlain.
In the range of the Hermes cologne my favourite was "Eau de Narcisse Bleu". I loved it. it breaks my heart they discontinued it! Maybe not a classic kind of cologne, but it wasstunning in my humble opinion.I also like Guerlain's "Eau de cologne du coq".
Great choices, Mr. P! Nice to see you so active on YT this summer. Another cheapie gem that I love is Alvarez Gomez Agua de Colonia Concentrada. A bright camphoraceous lemon that never fails to lift your spirits~
ADP Colonia and Mugler Cologne are my favorite summer colognes. They are my favorite kinds of fragrances. Clean, fresh, soapy and musky. I prefer to just smell clean and not perfumy.
I found a bottle of Hermes Eau de Gentiane Blanche and I'm lovingggg it. I live in Greece and it's hot hot hot, so a good cologne is much appreciated and this one is crisp and keeps intriguing me. Also picked up 4711's Lime & Nutmeg and it's surprised me...very smooth, comforting. My grandmother used to use the original 4711 which I never liked lol but this is lovely for an inexpensive refreshing lime and soft spice note cologne. I enjoy Roger & Gallet's black tea scent.
I actually have 5 out of 10 and wear them quite often. Angel Schlesser has a cologne quite aimilar to Orange Verte, but is a bit more vibrant. Bvlgari The Blanc is also very lovely.
I wish it were warmer to wear some of your lovely selection of colognes. One I would add is Eau de Rochas with its unique minerality, I always think of water on stones when I wear it. Of course its citrus opening is also great.
I'm glad you show Eau D'Orange Verte , I remember you mentioning it in a previous video and you didn't have a bottle. In my opinion one of the best perfumes in the world, hands down. It reminds me not so much the orange itself, orange or green, but the orange tree twigs and leaves, I can almost see the shape of the leaves and the luster of its texture when smelling it.
Lovely video as always. I'm not a cologne wearer but I love how they make me smile when I smell them. The penhaligons one is the only one I've tried wearing, it's an old one from memory but it gives me this happy fresh feeling 😌
Sorry to be tardy watching this. Thoroughly enjoyed it. You joked about British beaches, but England's Geo. F. Trumper made a major (if sadly unheralded) contribution to the cologne genre with 1872's Wellington Cologne. A true cologne with citrus and herbs, it pointed the way to the future of men's fragrances. Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet, all those Italian pino colonias, and many others were built upon Wellington's structure. Splash it on and meet me at Blackpool's iron tower.
Dior's Fahrenheit, Givenchy's Insense, and Paco Rabanne (the original green bottle) would make the list for me as well, although I did wear a few on your list when it wasn't fashionable for women to wear men's cologne. I do love your top tens!!!!
I haven't tried any of these but I think dior homme cologne is a gorgeous scent! Also you should come to argentina! And give some perfume advice to the men up here... They need help asap
Eau de Guerlain was the first fragrance where I really got the concept of top, middle and base notes. Love it. The Mugler smells of wee on my skin which is a pity because I like it on others.
How about a Top 10 labdanum scents video? I find most leathers too strong or harsh for my taste, but many of the ones I do enjoy seem to have labdanum as a common denominator. Also, as a note it doesn't seem to gather that much attention.
Love Siebenundvierzig Elf handwipes. And not only because of the scent and wonderful quality, but also because the sachets look beautifully retro. Another worth while choice: Eau Fraiche by Dior.
Great choices! Especially Chanel‘s Eau de Cologne of course! Love how abstract and perfectly blended it is! A video about your favourite body lotions and shower gels would be so amazing and interesting, maybe even one on the best smelling sunscreen products out there? :D
nice choices :mugler, goutal and F. malle. but you have forgotten ZAGARA by Santa Maria novella (TOP: Petitgrain, Fig Leaf, Lavender, Galbanum MIDDLE: Orange Blossom, Geranium, Carnation Flowers BASE: Musk) it is gorgeous and This cologne lasts very well on me. please give it a try!!!!
Sorry to say I’m fairly certain Mugler Cologne (Come Together) is discontinued. Can’t find it anywhere online and I’ve been looking intermittently for the past year 😢
When you get the chance to visit Cologne, you’ll see that 4711’s advantage is its marketing, but the supposedly original cologne was done by the House of Tina Farina. I haven’t seen it sold elsewhere other than Cologne itself.
@@L-Ondee I have and appreciate both. They have each a distinct quality though I think Farina is very recognisable once you’ve smelled it. I remember that a shop owner complimented my scent when I was wearing Farina.
I recently watched a video of a pod hotel in Kyoto for $300 for 30 days (UA-cam Channel: Experience JAPAN) It included some food and endless drinks. You should travel to Japan Mr. P. for all of us that can't😊
My favorite Sunday activity is to pull out all my samples and smell along with Persolaise!
That’s very kind, thank you.
The shirts are always so perfect!
Thank you 🙏
This is helpful especially given the merciless heat we've had here in the US. It was 102 the other day with 86 percent humidity. I need to try the Eau de Guerlain.
Oh gosh, that is hot. The Guerlain would be great in those temperatures.
I really liked NB as well. I still have my bottle somewhere.
Great choices, Mr. P! Nice to see you so active on YT this summer. Another cheapie gem that I love is Alvarez Gomez Agua de Colonia Concentrada. A bright camphoraceous lemon that never fails to lift your spirits~
I’ll have to check it out. Thank you.
ADP Colonia and Mugler Cologne are my favorite summer colognes. They are my favorite kinds of fragrances. Clean, fresh, soapy and musky. I prefer to just smell clean and not perfumy.
I’m glad you like the AdP and Mugler as well.

Thanks for this. I think Gentiane is really interesting too.
I actually have 5 out of 10 and wear them quite often. Angel Schlesser has a cologne quite aimilar to Orange Verte, but is a bit more vibrant.
Bvlgari The Blanc is also very lovely.
I like The Blanc as well, but I prefer to smell it rather than wear it.
Big fan of Acqua Di Parma, Have many flankers but never tried the original, kinda shamed.
Thanks for the great picks.
Thank YOU for watching.
I wish it were warmer to wear some of your lovely selection of colognes. One I would add is Eau de Rochas with its unique minerality, I always think of water on stones when I wear it. Of course its citrus opening is also great.
I’ll have to remind myself of it. Thank you.
Awesome stream as always
Thanks very much.

Yes, it’s quite special. I love its subtlety.
Lovely video as always. I'm not a cologne wearer but I love how they make me smile when I smell them. The penhaligons one is the only one I've tried wearing, it's an old one from memory but it gives me this happy fresh feeling 😌
I seem to remember enjoying the revived version from around 15 or so years ago.
Thanks for watching.
You MUST try the Les Indomidables Cologne's, they are divine
Yes, I’ll have to seek them out.
I agree - Escale en Indonesie was a rare full bottle purchase for me.

It's a date!
Thanks for watching.
Well done per usual Mr P! Great list ❤
Thank you very, very much.
Dior's Fahrenheit, Givenchy's Insense, and Paco Rabanne (the original green bottle) would make the list for me as well, although I did wear a few on your list when it wasn't fashionable for women to wear men's cologne. I do love your top tens!!!!
Thanks very much indeed. Original Fahrenheit is amazing.
I haven't tried any of these but I think dior homme cologne is a gorgeous scent! Also you should come to argentina! And give some perfume advice to the men up here... They need help asap
Ha! I’ll see what I can do.
Thanks for watching.
Eau de Guerlain was the first fragrance where I really got the concept of top, middle and base notes. Love it. The Mugler smells of wee on my skin which is a pity because I like it on others.
The Guerlain is really wonderful.
Thanks for watching.
Yes Roger & Gallet make superbe soaps!
Agreed.

Thanks for the idea. I'll see what I can do.
Herbal sophistication! That’s what cologne will be for me now ❤
Wonderful!
Great compilation 👍
Thanks for watching.
Eau de Guerlain and Chanel EDC they are just so well made!❤
I agree!
Sandalwood Cologne from Geo. F. Trumper shouldn't be out of this list!
Great choices anyway ❤
Thanks very much indeed.
Love Siebenundvierzig Elf handwipes. And not only because of the scent and wonderful quality, but also because the sachets look beautifully retro.
Another worth while choice: Eau Fraiche by Dior.
Yes, I love the sachets too. I often wonder if I should because I suspect they’re terribly wasteful.
Great choices! Especially Chanel‘s Eau de Cologne of course! Love how abstract and perfectly blended it is!

I’ll try to see if I can find it.
Thank you.
would love to learn your opinion on the 4711 Remix Series...
I seem to remember not being terribly impressed.
How do I miss your live all the time😢
Have you clicked on the little bell to receive notifications about new videos?
Les indemodables escale en indonesie my favourite, and my all time favourite too
I really need to try it soon, I think.
Great vid. It’s a cat that I am warming up to.
Thank you very much.
Acqua di parma has some really delicious scents, too bad they fade away in 10 minutes after you apply even 20 sprays!
Thanks very much indeed for watching.
would you say Eau d’ Hadrien smells about the same as Mandarin Basilic by Guerlain?
I can’t say I’ve ever thought they’re particularly similar, but I’d need to re-smell the Guerlain.
Sorry to say I’m fairly certain Mugler Cologne (Come Together) is discontinued. Can’t find it anywhere online and I’ve been looking intermittently for the past year 😢
It’s been gone gone since Covid
Oh no! It’s still listed on the UK Mugler website, which is why I included it.
I wonder if they’re planning to bring it back.
Nice list! What do you think about ADP colonia essenza ?
I seem to remember enjoying that one too.

I have been to Cologne, but only once, and very briefly, sadly. I'll have to return.
@@Persolaise You should Mr. P! Even if only “for research” purposes 😊
Farina Gegenüber is very nice! I prefer it to 4711 as a scent.
@@L-Ondee I have and appreciate both. They have each a distinct quality though I think Farina is very recognisable once you’ve smelled it. I remember that a shop owner complimented my scent when I was wearing Farina.
❤😊
