Thank you Dariush for an amazing year of gorgeous videos. Thank you as well for reading all my rambling on about perfume in sometimes close-to-novel-length comments and answering each and every one so kindly and interestedly. Unfortunately I was not able to spare you the burden.... it had turned into something close to therapy during a very challenging year. You add beauty and good energy to any situation. In case you feel like reviewing the window cleaner one day, go for it you certainly will have my support!
I've enjoyed reading every single one of your comments, Heinke. Thank you! And thanks for being so supportive.
You began thanking people, and I just wanted to say, Thanks to you Persolaise! You have brought me a good bit of happiness and positivity through the past year. Much respect and happy new year.
Synthetic Jungle is my very first niche purchase. Why? Because I was so captivated by the galbanum green opening in no.19. I wanted that facet to last a lot longer and Anne Flipo's creation certainly delivered that. That vegetal green bell pepper (is that mainly galbanum I smell?) is almost too much but I agree it holds up really well in cold weather. A most ballsy scent to beat down the winter doldrums!
Mr. P thank you for another wonderful episode. I need to get around to sampling a few on your list. Love the shirt. Daring fashion choices really suite you. 😊
Thank you Dariush for a excellent year, for all the reviews and the pleasure to hear your fantastic voice, best wishes and blessings for 2022!!!
Completely agree with you on Le Lion 🙌🏻😁😍 Thank you so much for your thoughts and reviews on perfumes and please keep it up, finding them was one of the best things of 2021 so I’m looking forward to more of them in 2022. Wishing health & happiness to you and your family in this brandnew year!
Also: looooove your golden blouse you look stunning 👌🏻😍🌸
Hope you have a wonderful 2022! I have enjoyed your content so much this year. Les Indemodables is my favorite newer house. Just love them
Many, many thanks for sharing your love of scents with us, Dariush!
@@Persolaise by the way I did finally receive that jasmine soliflore from India in the little roll-on bottle. Just so wonderfully and sweetly beautiful. I thank you for that top jasmine video that mentioned it.
Congratulations on the success of your channel in 2021! Chanel Le Lion is my favourite of the year too.
Just discovered your channel. Your descriptions are very eloquently done. Le Lion and Sundowner were big stand-outs for me. Very intrigued by the Louis Vuitton. Looking forward to watching more from you. Cheers!
I love your perfume reviews, just found your channel! Wow! I look forward to seeing your videos, then sampling and spritzing these perfumes! I love your "bakery and church" comment! Very descriptive! Love it!
Loved today’s episode - horrible day at work so absolutely delightful to watch, listen and imagine!
The one I am going to actively seek out is the Naomi Goodsir. I am horsey and your description was beyond evocative plus my daughter is a Naomi!
Thank you so much and I look forward to more episodes next year.
Thanks for watching - and I hope work won’t be quite so horrible next time.
Synthetic jungle is on my wish list. I was standing right next to Le Lion and in my excitement about purchasing no.19 completely forgot to smell this much talked about new addition to the exclusives. Love everything green! Thank you for bringing so much needed joy into my year with your reviews! Happy New Year from Chicago!
Thank you for some wonderful, descriptive, funny, educational and well-spoken videos this year. It's been a couple of difficult years for scents lovers (well, I did order a LOT of samples ahah), so thank you for providing a great escape via your channel.
My top scent of the year was Voyeur Verde by Maya Njie. I liked previous scents of hers but this as quickly became a favorite of mine, to the point where I barely wore anything else in the second part of 2021, which is incredibly rare for me. I am faithful in love but not in scents, but Voyeur Verde almost made wearing anything else boring upon testing it!
It is a gorgeous green, opening with realistic bergamot/cypress before pivoting to a fennel, almost licorice mid, with the smoothest, most wonderful leather for a base. I strongly encourage you to try it if not done yet! Happy New year and cannot wait for what you have in store for us in 2022!
Le Lion is beautiful but more polished than my lifestyle allows. I've been wearing Jorum Pentimento a lot and Masque Milano's Rayflection and Lost Alice were cheery, breezy reaches earlier in the year. My husband thinks Akro Smoke is a gift from the gods and is also plowing through our 10 ml sample of Chipmunk.
Is the Jorum new? I enjoy Carduus and Nectary from Jorum quite a lot. What's Pentimento like?
@@johnkarim1113 Jorum is new; it's a tonka and carob fragrance, with some tobacco that manages to be lush without being overpowering or very sweet. My husband and I both love it, and he also loves Carduus.
Thank you thank you! Your videos are so amazing. You presence and voice is so calm and meditative. Your knowledge and content is the best. Thank you for doing these videos. Best wishes to you and your family. Be healthy and safe and I wish you many many new amazing fragrances in 2022.🎊🎊
Btw I LOVE H24 :) Sundowner is ok but I'm not that amazed for some reason. And I love Tauer.
Thank you, Persolaise! for a wonderful year of great reviews (& learning for me)! My top scents today: Naomi Goodsir Corpus Equus, Chanel Le Lion, Scents of Wood Plum & Cognac, Amouage Epic W extrait 56, (new to me Sydney Rock Pool Arquiste), Nuvolari Rubini, Aurelien Guichard Falcon Leather & Encens Suave. 😀 Looking forward to reviews in 2022, 👏 Best Wishes! Rachel
Great selection! Le Lion, Ambre Suprême and Synthetic Jungle are also in my top 10; Le Lion being my nr1 of 2021 and maybe even of this century so far!
Mr Persolaise, how do you NOT have more subscribers ?? Surely 100K at the very least ! I am late to the fragrance community but have been binge watching your video repertoire, so happy that the few in my scent arsenal have passed your scrutiny of classics. Will eventually work my way through your blog posts. All the best for 2022 and your continued success in your perfume journey!
Thank you - I don’t think mine is a 100k sort of channel. Smaller numbers but greater, more meaningful engagement, maybe.
Thanks again for watching.
@@Persolaise Agreed. Rather like niche quality refinement vs... over-hyped design houses with splashy marketing campaigns? Yours is a labour of love and utter respect for this genre of beauty, and your small but mighty following are a community of knowledgeable and witty enthusiasts - what a delight to read the live chats!
Hello Dariush, this is my second watch of this review of yours you did on h24, after the first one, more extended, where you really discovered the scent. I am very happy because I picked up the apple even though I had forgotten you mentioning it! But it is not even why I love the scent, apart from this sudden need to seek your teeth into the fruit and happily crunch! I love it because it makes me stand to attention, I feel like I am elegant, on the one hand a really urban person, that lives in a big cosmopolitan city. On the other hand, wearing it I feel like I am in a country house in the summer, near an airing cupboard that I maybe just opened to put freshly ironed sheets there, with also that scent you get from the wood, maybe camphrous, in your grandparents house. I bet it is amazing on a man too. It is bright as it is serious and relaxed. I want to wear it to clear my head when I feel a little sickly or when I come out of the swimming pool, feeling sporty. I also want to wear it when I have to concentrate or focus on something or someone that requires my full capacity. It is really well done. I only own Terre and Eau d'orange verte from Hermes and as a non specialist H24's spirit really makes me want to check the rest of the house and re-smell Twilly and its flanker Eau poivrée. In that sense I would say it is a success for the house. Also I agree with some other viewers this golden shirt is amazing on you, I would pull it off only wearing a good amount of blusher so I am slightly jealous. Not that it will stop me from watching your wonderfull videos!
First and foremost, a very Happy New Year to you and Mdm. Persolaise!!! A blinding shirt to usher us into a glorious 2022, love it. Sadly, Le Lion was not a love for me, turned too leathery, smokey, masculine on me (I know sacrilege lingo again :)). As a woman, I dim down my femininity all too often in a male dominated professional life, so when it comes to more personal facets of life, I find it freeing to emphasize the feminine. My new loves in 2021 were Memo Paris's Lalibela (insane patchouli), and Diptyque's Fleur de Peau, neither one a 2021 release, but exquisite nonetheless! Thank you for all you do. ❤😜
Thanks for your gracious hospitality and insightful impressions on this channel. Looking forward to more content in 2022- pur pudd 😆 😹
Shalimar EDP is my current winter signature but I think something green and crisp would be a great switch up! Just ordered a sample of Synthetic Jungle. Sending love from Minnesota!
Very Nice Today Persoliase!!! Thanks for all the reviews during this crazy few years!!!! You Rock!!I think i am going to pull the trigger on Chanel le Lion!!!! 350 smacks!!!Ouch!!! Oooo well....Actually i changed my mind now...I am going to pick up Akro Smoke...160 bucks...Thanks for telling me all about this Frag Persoliase....This Fragrance will be my Happy New Year Frag!!!!
And I hope it brings you the happiest of New Years.
Many thanks for watching.
Frederic Malle Synthetic Jungle is a fragrance i ADORE! It is a 5th symphony of Anne Flepo! Once all the harshness left it turns out to be A REAL MUSCULINE yet gentle scent with such a delicious midlife of a scent. But since we have common love on it i will check all u showed! Thank you and subs from me!
Your entertaining reviews are much appreciated, have an awe-some 2022. I love Corpus Equus but I think Arabian Horse ( Guillaume ) has it beat. Best wishes
My discoveries of the year were all vintages in their current version. Sorry 2021 that does reflect the year truthfully! Calèche edt by Guy Robert is a “love“, Fidji adds joy to any cloudy day and Kadine by Guerlain, which I don't own but had the honour of trying, is a cousin of my beloved Après l'Ondée. So there you are 2021, take that!
I must say, Zoologist Perfumes are one of the most underrated niche brands IMO. I've got a discovery set and Chipmunk will be next to try. Not a very sexy name though is it? :))
In all honesty I was disappointed with FM Synthetic Jungle. To me just too green and really your "screechy" description hits the nail on the head. Love Chanel Le Lion. Cannot wait to get my hands on a bottle before Autumn (I live in New Zealand so it's summer here). I've not bought any new release perfumes this year but a recent purchase that's turned in to a huge big addictive love for me is Eight & Bob Nuit de Megeve 👌. Happy New Year 😊
That shirt looks like (a cross section of) pools of molten, gold-patterned, agate stone. How very festive! Have a very, very happy new year, Persolaise.
Oh yeah ambre supreme is so good it reminded me of a classic Chanel too, the aldehyde and everything else is just perfect. It is on my arm now sprayed 24 hours ago it’s so good. Have to take a shower for work tomorrow unfortunately
Okay.. first off- love your reviews! Your ability to bring a specific sense of smell to life through spoken word is uncanny!
But I must ask.. where is that shirt from?
Thank you so much for watching.
I'm pretty sure that shirt was from Twister Tailor.
No shipping till 1/10 with Les Indemodables, but that's ok.
8 samples 3.5 mls. Shipping is 30, but that's ok too.
Comes out about the same with dabbers from LuckyScent.
Hey, just picked up TF's Beau De Jour. Been wearing it a lot.
Not 2021, but hopefully that's ok.
happy new year.
I got my sample of Ambre Supreme. Between making it on your top 10 and all the comments of it being "vintage" and "outdated" on fragantica I figured I would at least like it 😅 The quality really impressed me, to the point that I will be getting the Les Indemodables sample pack next. But also I did not find this challenging or out of fashion at all. It was just a beautiful modern fragrance done with quality ingredients and nuance.

The best snow globe for years! Hoping Synthetic Jungle, Zoologist Chipmunk and Le Lion (if 2020 didn't count) are featured. X
My new favorites this year: Le Lion (no surprise) , Chipmunk, Misia, Olympic Rainforest, & Crimson Rocks. Not sure of the release dates, but they were new to me. 😊
@@L-Ondee Indeed! What’s your favorite Heinke? Mine are Moth, Nightingale, Bee, & Chipmunk. 😊
@@LiaAndrews To me, it does smell very “nutty” as some have reported, but more like someone is baking something nice in the middle of a lovely, damp, pine forest. Quite outdoorsy.
I was dying to purchase a bottle of Pur Oud from LV but the fragrance was not available in the USA at all - in person or via mail order. Also, while we are on the topic, while it is a very expensive fragrance, there are many boutique brands that proportionately charge far far far more for lesser (or greater) creations that are targeting the higher end market.
You're not the first person who's said LV don't sell this in/to the USA. Weird.
Thank you, I am very curious and I hope Les Indémodables will be the winner ☝️😉💥🙏❤️
@@Persolaise it was a pleasure to watch you and your reviews
Starting my fragrance journey! Could you please recommend me some absolute masterpieces.
You are so passionate!🍀
Thanks for watching. You’ll find plenty of recommendations on this channel and on Persolaise.com.
I'm like Tara from Olfactofiles - still need to try Sundowner. Le Lion certainly a goodie, but H24......😐 Let's just leave it at the expression. 😂
Nooo! You streamed this whilst I was watching your interview with Nick Steward (Gallivant)! Never mind. I’ll catch up with a livestream at some point I’m sure. Happy New Year to you and your family Dariush 🙏
I've noticed you have not reviewed any Tiziana Terenzi perfumes on you blog or on UA-cam. I'm guessing you might put them in the same boat as the dreaded Creed🙂 I just got a sample of Terenzi's Ursa and it's really really good. Anyone else have experience with TT?
No, in this case, it’s simply because I don’t know the brand very well.
Thanks for taking the time to write.
Hi, how would you compare corpus equus and guerlain's cuir intense? I am wondering about complexity, types of leathers, and anything else you can think of. Thank you!
I’d say they’re quite different from each other. The Guerlain is fairly dry and ‘rough’. Corpus has a very fleshy quality: it’s almost like living leather.
Just bought sundowner yesterday lovely stuff, but there is no Amber accord in it it's actually real ambergris..maybe that accounts for the more expensive price?
"intellectually satisfying" ... intriguing ... but I'll have to smell le lion as I am very curious.
If you actually did set off a mushroom cloud, the nuclear fall out would smell a little something like Shalimar 👍 lol All the best for 2022.
Please tell me you’ve heard of the limited edition litre bottles of Louis Vuitton parfums?! They’re £13’000!!
Persolaise thank you for this video. My favorite fragrance this year is from the YSL Le Vestiaire de Parfum Jumpsuit edp. Glorious 🥰👏❤️. My Chanel Gabrielle Essenc💖e , Gentle Fluidit 🥰🙏✨y by Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Dior Prive' Ambre Nuit edp 🎇, Parfum s de Marley Delina Exclusif 🙏🥰💥, Killian's Midnight in Heaven 🤗💥❤️🥭 , , Lancone la Nuit Tresor (my New Years Scent) , Jo Malone Intense Myrrh & Tonka 🙏💥🥰✨, , Tiziana Terenzi Andromeda , and lastly CHANEL Les Eaux Paris Biarritz 🙏🎇🥶🧊 evergreen 💙🤍.
There are 2 LV fragrances on my 2022 fragrance list .
This channel is spectacular. I have never imagined I can listen a person talking about fragrances for 50 minutes ha ha ha. Have a great 2022 Persolaise!
😂 That’s too kind, Nicolas. Thank you.
