@@airypersiflage Thanks, I'm trying to find a way to keep some amount of natural light because I really do like the vibe it gives of 'sitting down with a friend.' I don''t want my content to be super professional, but it's tough when you film on a day that has inconsistent light!
I literally screamed when I saw the notification for this video. I have rewatched your other perfume video more times than I can count so now I have something else to feast on. Your deep dives are incredible I could seriously listen to them about any subject because of the unique way you have of describing things. The amount of time and effort you put into this shows and it’s easily one of my favorite videos you’ve ever done ❤️

I’ve been struggling to sleep lately and I can’t explain the comfort of having this long video to watch while I try to quiet my brain for bed. I know this video has been a PROJECT for you and I trust I’ll rewatch at least once to take my own notes.
You are committed!!! Vanilla is so hard to get right, in my opinion. I love a gourmand scent but I can't stand anything reminiscent of the "vanilla fields" drugstore days and that's what I smell in so many new vanillas!
the dedication put into this one singular video is so impressive, you probably helped so many people find their new favorite vanilla scent, hopefully it was an enjoyable experience for you as well. Good work and thank you 💓
You’re the only person I can listen to describe perfumes. All perfume gives me headaches and panic but it’s just fun to see someone so passionately detailed about something 😊😂
I love the By the Fireplace candle too, which smells just like a smoky warm wood burning fireplace, and I really enjoy that. I love vanilla scents, and I am a gourmand scents lover. I watched your video all the way until the end to see if you mentioned Lavanila Pure Vanilla. It is a very simple & affordable scent that lasts for a long time, which I’ve had quite a few of co-workers asking me about. I’ve used Pure Vanilla way more than some of my niche perfumes. Another one that I enjoy is Mon Guerlain, it is a vanilla lavender combo, but it is soft and cozy like a hug in the best way. Thank you for the reviews, I really enjoyed all of your videos:)
Hi! It's me - I'm the one person who LOVES Ellis Brooklyn Vanilla Milk. It is my #1 favorite scent for winter. I literally think about it when I'm not wearing it. I agree with you about Vanilla Woods though - don't like it. Funny, right? I've been looking forward to this video - I love your deep dives! Thank so you much for all the hard work, its a great video!
YOU ARE AMAZING! Seriously amazing for taking this time to go into such depth! I am fellow vanilla lover who also easily gets those horrible headaches, so I am BEYOND thrilled. Thank you!!
I don't understand when people describe almost ANY perfume as young or old smelling! It just makes no sense to be. Aside from some VERY ancient perfumes I don't smell "old". I also don't smell most perfumes and think "young". I have a variety of kinds of perfumes I like: floral, green, clean, gourmound, woody.....it just depends on each perfume. I have perfumes from the 90's I still love and many released now and in between. I think of how I want to smell that day by type and never think anything I own or even smell is old or young. I'm so tired of hearing that in descriptions. Fragrance is a very personal and individual thing. Whatever you like and whatever type I am feeling that day often based on time of the year is what I choose. The only thing I can think of that may smell "young" might simply translate to "cheap" like some random drugstore bargain body spray or cologne.
For me, very heavy perfumes that my grandmother wore smell "old" (Shalimar, Angel). Because I connect the smell to her and associate it with an old lady. My other grandma wore Chloé, but somehow, that never stuck with me as an old grandma scent.
Sure, but there also IS a type of perfume many older woman wear. There’s perfumes marketed towards older, more mature woman, too, so obviously it’s a thing. It’s not a bad thing, some scents just smell like those.
Fantastic work Kait! Love this video. My top Vanilla fragrances are Indult Tihota Dyptique Eau Duelle EDT KAYALI vanilla 28 Jovoy Fire at Will Kayali Silk Santal Henry Rose Queens and Monsters ❤
I just spent an hour and 20 minutes with Kait and loved every minute of it. I could have gone another 40 minutes lol. Rest that voice girl. Awesome video. Thanks you for all your hard work on this. Look forward to the next deep dive.
shoutout to the amount of work that went into this video! this was incredible, and I hope you make more fragrance content. you’re so thorough and have a unique perfume style that I love
Hearing other people talk about fragrances never ceases to amaze me; we all smell things differently both in the bottle and on our skin. I don't even smell the rose and lavender in vanilla woods and burberry goddess, respectively. I haaate scents with rose and lavender but they don't even register to me so I enjoy those two perfumes. Bodies are just weird. You actually made vanilla sex really appealing to me; almond extract is one of my fave smells ever and I'd love to smell like it 😂 Thanks for all the work you did for this video!
I'm not usually a fan of vanilla perfumes but the 7 virtues vanilla woods is actually one I quite enjoy ☺ I like a light spritz on certain days. It's so interesting to me how people and their different chemistries can have such different experiences with things like perfume!
Hi Kait, I am also very sensitive to some notes and almost nose blind to others. I had an experiment that revealed this tome: I went to a whisky tasting and we had to smell some notes that would help us to identify them later in the whisky :) There were 10 notes I got all right except one: vanilla. I could not smell i or identify it like the others. I also have HUGE sensitivity to Vetiver and patchouli, they over power everything for me :) (I also hat fugére scents that include lavender) Hope this might shad some light on the why you don't smell it as intensely as other people. Skin chemistry is a huge player in all this as well. :) I send you big hugs and as a foot note: love your straight forward delivery of your thought! So refreshing.
OMG! When you research one category, you totally go all out. I recently purchased Nemat Vanilla Musk oil, it's inexpensive and I really like the scent. I feel like so many perfumes have black pepper, pink pepper, and cardamom and I hate the scent. There can be 10 different notes and it's the first thing I smell, totally turns me off. Thanks for all your hard work!💚
Thank you for such an in-depth video! I'm not sure if I like vanilla scents so it was great to hear the descriptions. I live near Merz Apothecary in Chicago and they stock the Kerosene line - so I got a paper tester of Unknown Pleasures. Would never have known about it - so thank you for making me aware of the brand and glad I have a local stockist! I need to finish up some fragrances but this is one to consider when I am looking for a new scent.
Thank you, Kait!!! I had to watch it in installments, but LOVED it, and have been waiting so long! I’m a vanilla fan, so I’ve smelled/worn many of these, have heard of most, but you managed to introduce me to a few I didn’t even know about. Put a couple of them on my wishlist!
This is sooo interesting because clearly we all have different sensitivities for certain fragrances. Dior Hypnotic Poison was one of my first perfumes, and I really only smell vanilla and almond. Which is the opposite of your nose. I'm so fascinated now (in a good way)! 🤔
Totally agree that as someone who is neurodivergent / has sensory issues, there are just certain notes in a scent that stick out and you almost can't get over them. Patchouli is totally one for me, too! I can't stand it. Jasmine and lily are also super distracting and pronounced for me.
I'm a fragrance addict and have a collection of around 80 bottles. Diptyque Eau Duelle EDT is in my top 5 of all time, and even though I don't have a "signature scent" since I switch it up so much- this would be it. I love it soooo much. 😊
Well, Kait this is an absolutely amazing description video with great content and I know this took you forever. I know you almost lost your voice, but girl it is great thank you so much. I was driving for the whole time coming back from a work conference and it was like we were just hanging out together and I I loved it so so much. I will definitely be sharing this video with others and, thank you for all that you share with us
I will say that when you first buy it Kayali Vanilla 28 hits more brown sugar than vanilla, but when you let it sit and get darker the vanilla comes through. I have a bunch of kayali vanilla scents and all of them get darker and sooo much better imo!
This was amazing! Eau Duelle EDT is my second most favorite vanilla behind Arquiste The Architects Club. I too don't love floral or gourmand vanillas on my skin while appreciating them for what they are. I bought a travel size of Gold- personal during the sephora sale because of our recommendation and I like it so much more than Gold Expressive which I already owned.
Amazing video, Kait 👏🏻 I really appreciated your thorough descriptions and honest thoughts about each fragrance. You’ve deinfluenced me from tracking down a few samples but I’m also intrigued by a couple scents you mentioned I wasn’t familiar with. Thank you for your hard work.
22:50 I made a blind buy of a full-sized Aqua Allegoria Bosca Vanilla Forte immediately after watching your review, and it’s exactly how people described it: like a delicate, sweet, summer holiday in a bottle. It’s so relaxing and addicting at the same time!
I bought Néroli Outrenoir (also highly recommend) from a Guerlain store in April and the saleswoman threw in a tester of the Aqua Allegoria Forte Bosca Vanilla. I fell in love with it and I went through my tester so fast. I bought a bottle during a Macy’s sale, and I wear it every day. It’s beautiful and I feel beautiful wearing it. Highly recommend! Thank you for your hard work on this video and for highlighting my favorite scent!
Wow! This video is so wonderful! Thank you for putting the time in that it takes to make it! You really gave me a lot of perspective on my current vanillas and ones I’ve been thinking about. We have similar noses I feel so I am very much appreciative!! 🙏🏼😊❤️
I can tell you why the Clean Reserve Skin smells so different to you on different days! Several of the fragrance ingredients produce a wider range of olfactory responses dependent on skin chemistry and environment. It contains more than 0.09% of some standouts, like dimethylcyclohexylethoxy Isobutylpropanoate and Ethylene Brassylate. Ethylene Brassylate has a sweet-musky odor when it’s good quality and in a well-balanced formula. But poorer-quality ethylene brassylate will interact with other skincare products and natural skin oils/sweat/hormones to develop a kind of sweaty-with-hints-of-rancid-castor-oil scent as it oxidizes on the skin. That can produce wildly different scents from day to day. Dimethylcyclohexylethoxy Isobutylpropanoate produces a combination of woody, fruity, sweet, and sour-citrus notes - but it also produces a carvone complex note. Carvone is a compound ground naturally in dill, rye, caraway, and spearmint. Depending on how the carvone interacts with your skin chemistry on a specific day, it can either give you a strong stale bread mixed with sweaty barn scent, a rye/pumpernickle scent, dill notes, a powdery or sweet mint scent, an astringent spearmint scent, or a combo of any of those. That’s because anything with a carvone complex will interact with your skin to produce either d-carvone (spicy, mentholated, rye and dill aromas) or l-carvone (sweetish mint), and that can happen at completely different rates and ratios on different days and even different parts of your body. Whdn well-formulated, a fragrance with Dimethylcyclohexylethoxy Isobutylpropanoate is balanced so that reaction happens slowly, so no matter which way your body chemistry takes it, it can’t overwhelm the more delicate notes in a fragrance. But if not, it will vary wildly from day to day. Complicating that even further is the inclusion of multiple ingredients that produce a muguet/lily-of-the-valley scent. Thise ingredients are the ones producing the “clean” or powdery or soapy notes. In ideal circumstances and good-quality formulations, ^those first two ingredients would produce scent at a balanced rate with the muguet/lily-of-the-valley scent. But without it? It’s going to smell anywhere on a spectrum from sweaty dill laundry to sweet minty citrusy soap, ten notes to one note, etc. It’s a clumsy attempt to manufacture a true My-Skin-But-Better fragrance that shifts with your body chemistry. Usually happens when a perfumer has created a well-balanced fragrance formula using quality ingredients, but the company tries to increase profit margins by sourcing the ingredients from vendors with poorer quality management and higher batch variation.
Wow it's obvious you put so much effort into making this video. Thank you! I enjoyed watching it and I saved it since I know I would be re-watching it again ❤
I got vetiver and golden vanilla at your suggestion last year and I LOVE it! I get so many compliments every time I wear it. Excited to try a couple more of your suggestions now ❤
Oh my goodness what an amazing video. You worked so hard and really took one for the team! Thakn you! I have to try that Guerlain one that you like. I, too, get so irritated when a lot of fragrances say vanilla in the name and smell nothing like it! Shalimar makes me feel sick to my stomach so I read you on that one! My favourite vanilla is Laura Mercier Vanilla Gourmand which they have reformulated (not sure if the new one is as good as the old one). I really like the Clean Reserve Skin perfume. I do not smell the vanilla in it/just musk which reminds me of a scent I wore in high school (ahem many moons ago) by Bonnie Bell called Skin Musk (which I think is still out there but renamed/must revisit that one!).
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but Orena Fragrances has a line of products called Gourmand Heaven that the scent is supposed to be based off Escapade Gourmande. I bought the body butter about a month ago and it turned out to be MY scent! I get compliments from strangers and coworkers alike. Usually they say I smell like a cupcake or big ol’ sugar cookie 😊 I’m not good with descriptions but it has this….soft vanilla powder sugar scent? That’s the best way I can describe it. I love it. It’s also fairly cheap compared to the original and the body butter scent lasts all day for me. Not overpowering but every once in a while I’ll get a whiff of it towards the end of the day and it just makes me so happy! Apologies for the long comment but wanted to mention it for anyone intrigued by Escapade Gourmande but is afraid to commit to the price tag.
Legend has it that Nemat Vanilla Musk oil is dupe for your Indult Tihota. Maybe you know about this gem. Less than $20 at Whole Foods, Ulta. I layer it to give my weak vanillas omph and I always get compliments
Jhag vanilla vibes is one of the best vanillas i have ever smelled and i have 200 + full size bottles. Something about it makes my eyes roll in the back of my head. I dont mind synthetic at all ❤
I LOVE a video this detailed and thorough - Kait, you never disappoint! I’ll be returning to rewatch as I prepare to pull the trigger on one of these fragrances. Thanks! 🥰
You are a doll and I loved this video so much. Love vanilla but really picky as I have sensitivities as well. I will probably watch again just to take some notes! Hope you are doing well today.❤
Hi Kait. During the last Sephora sale I grabbed a mini of the Commodity Gold (white bottle per your recommendation) At first, I wasn't sure. Then the dry down came and I absolutely love it!! I now want a full size bottle, maybe next sale. Thank you for this video ☺️
It’s so intriguing how much of a personal experience fragrance can be. I immediately jumped to your review of 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods and we have completely different experiences with it! To me, it isn’t overly sweet. I get a lot of “vanilla pipe” scent. Smoky. I loathe B&BW scents and this is my everyday go-to fragrance.
My thoughts: I need to try Eau Duelle! One of my all time favorite scents is Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee, but it isn’t sold in the US anymore. Fragrantica suggests that Eau Duelle is the most similar scent. I also love love love Commodity Gold Personal. By far my favorite commodity scent. I love the scent of ISO E Super. I believe it’s meant to smell like cedar, but to me it’s much brighter, fresher, sweeter, and more effervescent than that. To me, it smells like if you filled up a raw cedarwood cup with Sprite. I feel very similarly about Clean reserve skin! I sometimes love it and sometimes don’t. It’s surprisingly potent for something labeled as a “skin scent.” The praline note is really prominent to me This video was amazing! And yess vanilla milk is 🤮
Thank you for this video! A few new ones to add to the wish list! :) I love the Aqua Allegoria vanilla scent! The dry-down reminds me so much of Giorgio Armani Privé Bleu Turquoise, but much more subtle and versatile. I will replace my Armani with the Guerlain when it runs out. The whole Aqua Allegoria line is so underrated.
Such an amazing video! Almost like a podcast for me - listened to it while recovering from an eye surgery and loved all your descriptions. You made me laugh so much as well, the way you described the ones you liked the least was so funny. But now I am sooo excited to smells the ones you recommended!! 😍
I don’t really love By the fireplace but itself, but I love the way it mixes with Tom Ford or Kayalis cherry perfumes. Dua makes a version of the combined scents called Cherry by the Fire, and it’s my favorite fall/winter fragrance. I love strong spicey scents though, so I get it might not be for everyone.
It’s wild how people have completely different experiences with fragrances. You literally have to find someone who has the same taste/ body chemistry as you otherwise you really can’t trust the person’s opinion
Soooo cool that you make this video I just got Hypnotic poison for my birthday and found a mini travel size Shalimar !!!! I like Poison and find it a bit similar to M.A.C creme d’nude… (but Dior lasts longer on my salty skin !!)
Thank you so much for all the work you put into this! I absolutely love perfume and particularly appreciate the thoughtful categories like "most headache inducing!"
My 1st time watching one of your perfume reviews. You are so right & very on point. Love this. Finally, someone not speaking just for popularity but stating the truth. I absolutely love TRUE STRONG VANILLA notes in perfumes. I can’t tell you how MANY times perfume descriptions are so OFF. Especially when it comes to vanilla gourmand perfumes. They call them vanilla & like you said, often you can hardly smell any vanilla. Bring on the VANILLA!! Give me VERY VERY VANILLA. 🍨🍦🧁
Dropping back in because I did go and watch your suggested video from two years ago. It was a fun one! I’d love to see you do an update video to let us know if you’ve changed your mind on any of those fragrances after a few years.
I'm big into fragrance as a hobby and love sampling everything so I appreciate what went into this! My favorite vanilla wasn't in your list -- Matiere Premiere Encens Suave. I tend to like richer, deeper vanillas rather than light soft vanillas and this one is rich and resinous but not sweet! It's shot through with incense which I really love. Atelier Des Ors Lune Feline is almost as good as Encens Suave but swapping incense with spices. Skin chemistry is funny too because L'Artisan Couleur Vanille smells like a richer almost burnt vanilla to me but very much lightened on a sea breeze, Indult Tihota and Un Bois Vanille evaporate off my skin almost immediately, and I get loads of vanilla from Tobacco Vanille. I used to wear Burberry Brit in highschool and my mom still wears it--7 Virtues Vanilla Woods 100% reminded me of Brit and I gave my sample to my mom. I'm really excited to try Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Bosca Vanilla Forte after your review, I love driftwood and have been considering a full bottle of Couleur Vanille so I'll definitely have to pick up a sample of this one!
For a gourmand, vanilla-y vanilla, I love Accident a la Vanille by Jousset Parfum. It's very rich and buttery though, so you have to be into that. For spicy, woody vanilla, Liis Bo is so cozy and beautiful. I really want to try Encore Une Fois by Coty because Jus de Rose was raving about it saying it's the best vanilla she's ever smelled.
Great reviews, it must have taken so long to not only do the wear testing, but also edit such a long video. Thanks. There are some really interesting perfumes I now want to try, and some that I’m happy to bypass. It’s so interesting how differently we can perceive perfumes. I get something that I’m not in love with in the Milk bold and wish I’d bought a bottle of the Gold expressive instead. I think it’s the marshmallow note mixed with the lactonic note. And the Kayali Vanilla 28 is a vanilla bomb for me along with the brown sugar note - I didn’t even realise that jasmine was a note as it’s non-existent on me. The Kayali Vanilla Royale is my favourite Kayali vanilla as the spiciness and vanilla work really well on my body chemistry. The most vanilla-y vanilla I’ve tried is the 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods - it’s all vanilla and minimal woods on me, I get no rose or pear at all. Burberry Goddess is the same for me; loads of vanilla and a slight hint of lavender - I don’t get any fruit and the lavender lasts about 1 hour but the vanilla lasts 6-8 hours. One note I have to avoid is narcissus as any amount of it overwhelms me and turns really nasty with my skin chemistry.
Thank for this huge overview. My most loved vanilla perfumes are: Not sweet vanilla: van Cleef&Arpels Orchidee Vanille Flowery: Libre intense- ysl Foody: Bianco Latte - Giardino di Toscana (my compliment monster) And I ❤my dupes from Fragrance world : Vanilla so sweet ( Spiritouse Double Vanille but better) and Barracat Gentle Gold (mfk gentle fluidity gold. I don't know the original but this is good stuff)
I'm saving up to buy Bosca Vanilla too! I was actually curious if you were going to talk about it, because it feels like I'm the only person raving about it 😂 Also, the notes thing is one of the reasons I prefer Parfumo over Fragrantica.
im not so informed on perfumes but ill watch everything you post, your deep dives are always so informative. hope your well and safe? hope you are enjoing the spring. loved seeing a new video from you, you always cheer me up. sending you love. ha en fin dag ( = have a nice day in norwegian)
Loved this content so much. I have been searching for the perfect vanilla perfume for myself for years. Don't come for me, but I love Victoria's Secret bare vanilla spray. I really wish they would make it into a perfume already. I'm curious if you have ever tried it and if you think any of these would be a good substitute. I have tried the mixed bar and the Kayali vanilla 28, and I need something else. They are not my preference. Appreciate all the work you put into this. Now I'm off to buy some samples off eBay!
I love 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods! It is crazy how personal perfume is... My friend and I went to Sephora together and we both tried Vanilla Woods and smelled each other. On her it smelled too sweet, on me it didn't smell as sweet. I think the woody notes makes it balance out the sweetness on me. I too am sensitive to really strong and sweet scents, I get headaches easy!
Wow! Fabulous video. My mother’s signature scent was Shalimar. I still have one of her Shalimar perfumes. I must admit I would never wear it. It actually smells horrible on me. I love vanilla but I’m very selective. This video is truly save worthy. Thank you!❤️🤗❤️
I LOVE getting perfume samples anytime I can get them and I'll try them out an hour or two before a shower to see how I like them and how they dry down and when I tell you I IMMEDIATELY showered after Vanilla Milk, I couldn't get it off of me fast enough. Thank you SO much for your expansive deep dive. I only recently started getting headaches from certain perfumes and it's so nice to hear thoughts from someone who is also sensitive. 🩷
I've been waiting for this video! I'm so excited to find my birthday gift to myself 😊 Thank you for putting in so much time and effort to your videos. You are a gem!
It's nice to hear from someone who unfortunately suffers from the same perfume and scent sensitivity as I do, but also really enjoys fragrance. Trying new scents is such a roll of the headache and nausea dice!
Omg I’ve found another Type A fragrance girlie hahah I’m looking for my perfect vanilla and this was perfect to watch ❤ I’m going to go binge your other videos xx thank you for putting in so much research and time, you’ve definitely helped me! Edit: I’ve watched your frag collection video and I would love love love to see more fragrance content from you! I honestly thought your whole channel would be dedicated to fragrance with how descriptive and researched this video was xx
This was an iconic rundown on vanillas! And we appreciate it. Thanks for your hard work. Thought Bianco Latte would be in the overhyped or synthetic category and it belongs there and it can produce headaches but I’m addicted to it!
vanilla 28 is pure vanilla to me, really surprised by your take on that one. jo malone vanilla vetiver smells exactly like neutrogena rainbath to me . that scent is burned into my brain because i spilled a bottle of rainbath shower oil in my dorm in college. the carpet on 3rd floor richardson probably still smells like that
This has been great! Not a vanilla fan in fragrance, so it was fun not fully being into the notes. I love Shalimar, but only because it's the only thing my mother wore or has worn in 55 years. She even believes it's old smelling. Now, for Commodity, I was shocked you didn't review their vanilla scent, which is Gold. My 16 year old niece loves it, not for me!
Just found this video -- wow! So thought out and informative!! Thank you! Really appreciate the time and effort that went into this, and it sounds like we have some similar preferences (even though my current perfume ended up in a worst category 😂) so I walked away with some good recommendations!
Escapade gourmande is officially on my wishlist. Something easy but still yummy. If you’re looking for another vanilla, I’m almost done with Ledda 18 Vanilla Nera!! It is one of my faves, but would love your thoughts❤ thanks for the categories and chapters!!
So sorry for the inconsistent lighting in this video! I'm going to transition away from natural lighting to avoid problems like this in the future. Hopefully, it isn't too distracting!

You're so right about Nette The Vanille leaning aquatic! I could never figure out what I enjoyed about it so much. Loving this video!
OMG so I'm not alone in smelling that!? Phew
Fantastic work Kait! Love this video.
My top Vanilla fragrances are
Indult Tihota
Dyptique Eau Duelle EDT
KAYALI vanilla 28
Jovoy Fire at Will
Kayali Silk Santal
Henry Rose Queens and Monsters ❤
Exactly. I think the 7 virtues perfume was the most recommended to me, so the majority of people really love it
Yess!!!! Kait, you are the queen of deep dives!! Thanks for your hard work. I just started watching so this probably wont be my only comment 😂
I'm so glad you're making this!!!
I also have HUGE sensitivity to Vetiver and patchouli, they over power everything for me :) (I also hat fugére scents that include lavender)
Hope this might shad some light on the why you don't smell it as intensely as other people.
Thanks for all your hard work!💚
Yesss so excited for this! I have frequent migraine so am sensitive to scent, but Commodity Gold Personal that I found through you is my favorite!
I made sure to share which ones gave me headaches for those of you who are also sensitive!
Same with me its my fav along with tom ford vanillr fatale
Totally agree that as someone who is neurodivergent / has sensory issues, there are just certain notes in a scent that stick out and you almost can't get over them. Patchouli is totally one for me, too! I can't stand it. Jasmine and lily are also super distracting and pronounced for me.
Same and same!!
I will definitely be sharing this video with others and, thank you for all that you share with us
Awwww, I love that! I hope you had a good conference.
I will say that when you first buy it Kayali Vanilla 28 hits more brown sugar than vanilla, but when you let it sit and get darker the vanilla comes through. I have a bunch of kayali vanilla scents and all of them get darker and sooo much better imo!
So excited about this!
The amount of research and intention that you put into making this is so commendable! Thank you!
Awww thank you
This was amazing!
This is the best video ever! So comprehensive! Now I want to try the Jo Malone one and Commodity Gold. Vanillas are my absolute favorite!
Commodity Gold is my favorite because of Kait - wearing it now ❤
Seconding Gold, it's incredible
I live for the niche passion in this video. Never change ❤
I LOVE how honest you are!
Thanks!
Wow, thank you!
I got vetiver and golden vanilla at your suggestion last year and I LOVE it! I get so many compliments every time I wear it. Excited to try a couple more of your suggestions now ❤
It's SO special
Ok this is needed! Thank you so much for the details, the separating of categories, and timestamps ❤
I dont mind synthetic at all ❤
THE DEDICATION… I appreciate this so much!!! BLESS! thank you ❤
Awwww thank you
I LOVE a video this detailed and thorough - Kait, you never disappoint! I’ll be returning to rewatch as I prepare to pull the trigger on one of these fragrances. Thanks! 🥰
kait, i didn’t even know that there’s websites out there that has samples for sale. 🤷🏻♀️🤯🤦🏻♀️
It’s surprisingly potent for something labeled as a “skin scent.” The praline note is really prominent to me
This video was amazing! And yess vanilla milk is 🤮
Thank you for this video! A few new ones to add to the wish list! :)
I love the Aqua Allegoria vanilla scent!
I hope recovery goes well!
I literally cheered out loud when you got to the last one! Wow! Thanks for this amazing video. I know it was tons of work.
@@grat2010 thank you! I think it was something like 8-11 months of work 🤯
I don’t really love By the fireplace but itself, but I love the way it mixes with Tom Ford or Kayalis cherry perfumes.
Yep, it’s all subjective
preach.
Omg YES!!! Thank you for being our guinea pig!!! 👏☺️💕
My most loved vanilla perfumes are:
Not sweet vanilla: van Cleef&Arpels Orchidee Vanille
Flowery: Libre intense- ysl
Foody: Bianco Latte - Giardino di Toscana (my compliment monster)
And I ❤my dupes from Fragrance world : Vanilla so sweet ( Spiritouse Double Vanille but better) and Barracat Gentle Gold (mfk gentle fluidity gold. I don't know the original but this is good stuff)
Thank you for all your hard work. I was able to adjust my ScentBird queue as you discussed each fragrance and I definitely dodged some bullets.
I'm saving up to buy Bosca Vanilla too! I was actually curious if you were going to talk about it, because it feels like I'm the only person raving about it 😂
Also, the notes thing is one of the reasons I prefer Parfumo over Fragrantica.
I have spent the last month trying to find the “right kind” of vanilla. This video is a god send!! I just subscribed. Thank you ❤
Glad I could help!
im not so informed on perfumes but ill watch everything you post, your deep dives are always so informative. hope your well and safe? hope you are enjoing the spring. loved seeing a new video from you, you always cheer me up. sending you love. ha en fin dag ( = have a nice day in norwegian)
This is an amazing video, and soo helpful! Thanks for all your hard work in putting this together.
Aww, you are so welcome
AMAZING video! I enjoyed it so much, thank you Kait!
Love this! Thanks for all the hard work! Getting a sample of Eau Duelle EDT ASAP! 💙
I've been waiting for this video! I'm so excited to find my birthday gift to myself 😊
Thank you for putting in so much time and effort to your videos. You are a gem!
It's nice to hear from someone who unfortunately suffers from the same perfume and scent sensitivity as I do, but also really enjoys fragrance. Trying new scents is such a roll of the headache and nausea dice!
Agreed! This video took me 8 months because it was difficult to test the scents given my sensitivities
Had already subscribed when I found your video about trends that need to go - but this video about vanilla perfumes has made me a fan!
Thank you! 🥹
This makeup look is so gorgeous!
I really love your reviews, and im sooo ecstatic about you doing perfumes reviews now!!
I really want to try it!
vanilla 28 is pure vanilla to me, really surprised by your take on that one. jo malone vanilla vetiver smells exactly like neutrogena rainbath to me . that scent is burned into my brain because i spilled a bottle of rainbath shower oil in my dorm in college. the carpet on 3rd floor richardson probably still smells like that
This has been great!
Much appreciated! Very well done high quality video. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Bravo! This was my first time seeing one of your videos and I love your style of reviewing. 🙌
Oh thank you so much!
