My 1st Piquet was Fracas, which was a blind buy. The notes sounded interesting, and Madonna has worn it, so I thought "Why not?" I then graduated to Visa, now V, which I save for date nights. My newest proud acquisition is Rue du Cirque: I LOVE IT!!!!! I was trying to find a replacement for Sicily by Dolce and Gabbanna. After reading about the "sunny" notes in Rue du Cirque, I made my 3rd Piquet blind purchase. I wouldn't call it "sunny", but I am currently in bed basking in its ambiance quite happy. It smells much better after a little oxygenation by the way. Also, you're very funny 😅.
While in London I stumbled on Miller Harris store. I had never heard of MH. Black Datura blew me away and I got a bottle. Their fragrances have natural notes. The Iris one was like you were smelling fresh picked irises. Black Datura has an amazing scent journey. There is just the right amount of white floral and subtle nice woods. It is sooo pleasant.
I’ve tested new J’adore in the late summer and it wasn’t something special. Few days ago, cold weather and North wind, walking by the sea, completely different experience. I was surprised how beautiful it is. I will be testing it more for sure, to see if that was a poetic moment or maybe I’ll get a bottle. 😂 Best regards from Dubrovnik, Croatia.
I really love the new J'Adore L'Or and I've decided to buy it. I really loved hearing you read the press release. I was in stitches laughing. Thank you for your review!
I love Chance Eau Fraiche EDT a lot. Sparkling citron, lemon opening. The typical Chanel jasmin and water hyacinth heart is feminine. But the woods and patchouli in the base makes it a rather sturdy perfume. The performance for a floral lemon is very good. The EDP doesn't have this sparkle and smells deeper. But it doesn't have this light airy summery feel. So I really prefer the EDT. By the way. Thank you so much for recommending the Acqua di Parma Chinotto di Liguria. What an amazing beautiful Italian perfume. A true delight made by François Demachy (I didn't know that, but it thrills me). I have a big bottle now and I treasure it because it's discontinued. Thank you again and many greetings from Holland.🍁
Black Datura is a rerelease, it originally came out at the same time as velvet cherry a few years ago. It was only available on their website for a couple of months and was in TK pretty much from launch.
I never thought J'Adore needed anu flankers But luckily they all smell okay (not as good as the og). Would like to Smell this Or. And that was an almost cringy press release... makes me fear the ad and the raspy-voiced french lady they always get to say the perfume's name at the end
Hello Dariusz, greetings from Prague and from my personal encasing of Bosca Vanilla. An impulse purchase I almost regret. It is like Nettare di Sole with a dash of the Shalimar Vanilla Millesime. For an averagely strong fragrance it is incredibly tenacious and, in my opinion, in great need of balancing with incense, patchouli or even vetiver. Will you be reviewing this? It's great to see you back! Laura
Only have a sample, but I am already fond of L'or the way I loved the original J'adore EDP in the 2000s. I guess the later/current EDP formula must be different, it doesn't quite hit the spot. Am very curious about the flanker - Mdm Persolaise's Absolu or L'absolu. Would you consider doing a review? :)
I'm so tempted to get the new J'Adore l'Or because I'm such a fan of the 2017 version. Did you tried this one, or the 2010 release??? Thank you for sharing your passion❤
No, we love the shirt -- but we might be starting to take your impeccable style for granted. Love the dry-down descriptions -- I might not remember to get back to the notes to see the blotter updates.
Hello Mr. P. It was me (well, possibly!) that mentioned Orange Blossom going, along with Castile, The Uncompromising Sohan, Vaara, Constantinople and Savoy Steam. That came from a Penhalligon's rep, so it's probably true, unfortunately.
@@Persolaise it is - and I'm afraid it doesn't get much better with their latest 'Potions and Remedies' range. I think they're leaning in to the kitsch 'Victorian' tripe too much now and are actually diluting the brand somewhat. Of the newest 5 releases, I'd say only one of them is actually doing anything particularly interesting ('A Kiss of Bliss' - yes...they all have awful names!), whilst the latest 'Portrait' is a reasonable take on the 'buttery iris' accord that Maison Crivelli went for with Iris Malikhan. Yours for just £220 complete with brass elephant head topper. What I wouldn't give for something a bit more technicolour like Vaara (athough, to be fair, Legacy of Petra was a good release last year). Anyway, thank you for the reviews - you've really helped educate me on perfumes through your videos, and I always look forward to your latest upload.
Mr P I hope all is well sir. I recently just purchased Habit Rouge edt and was wondering if you recommend wearing it during the winter months? I know Habit Rouge edt is in your top 5 - just wanted to seek out your thoughts.
Extrêmement déçue par la nouvelle reformulation d’Habit Rouge et de Vétiver. Ils sont méconnaissables. Guerlain est sur une très mauvaise pente. Le marketing n’est pas tout.
Very disappointing start for Francis Kurkdjian with Dior. I'm waiting for something bold and intoxicating. Jesus! you're working for Dior, exaggeration is what I'm looking for!
The channel remains the most pleasant, intelligent perfume content out there. Thank you.
By miles and miles
The one place I return to without fail! No frills, just great perfume conversations!
This is so kind, thank you. It’s all of you who contribute to making it what it is.
It truly is!

Thanks for this wonderful comment, and for watching.
@@Persolaise You're welcome.

I'm so pleased you enjoyed the shop.
This is one of your best fitting shirts because it harmonizes with your hair and beard 👍👍👍
Thanks very much :-)

Ah, I'm so pleased you like Chinotto. Thanks for watching.
The reading of the press releases are becoming my favorite part of these videos 😂
Oh dear, I hope that’s a good thing 😂
Beautiful selection!!
Thank you.
Rue de cirque and Black Datura by MH sounds absolutely divine! I'm going to see if I can try it out. Nice to meet you 💫
Thanks very much for watching.

Ah, I didn’t know that. Thank you!
Happy Bday, Angie! I am in Williamsburg VA
👍
After listening to J'adore's "article" I realized I do not understand English.😅
As you read "The Finger" I was thinking (Gold Finger).
Trust me: it’s not you, it’s the press release.
Besides perfumery perhaps one day Mr P could do a video on his shirting wardrobe 😎
Ha! Maybe...
Happy birthday Angie
👍

Thanks for watching. I remember thinking the Absolu was better than the original. Shame they don't make it any more.

I'm glad you like this one. I'm afraid Madame P's bottle is long gone.
I love all your reviews, they're so helpful and insightful 👏 will you be checking out the new aqua allegorias?
That's very kind, thank you. If I can get samples of them, then I'll do my best to review them.
Welcome back Darius! We expected more than of just another flanker of j'adore from Kurkdjian! Boring release! Cheerio🍻😀
Thank you. I hope we get a totally new release from him soon.
@@Persolaise you're welcome🙏 i also hope Dior will release at last a new male fragrance! Not another Flanker of Sauvage👎 Cheers🍻😀

I’m afraid I have genuinely lost track of all the different J’Adore versions over the years.
Thanks very much for watching.
Dont, not worth the price mark, not so much different from the original one and way more expensive.
BTW. Great video as per usual 😊
Thanks very much for watching.
Robert Piguet is one of my favourite perfume houses. Casbah is my fave
I think my brother is a fan of that one too.
No, we love the shirt -- but we might be starting to take your impeccable style for granted. Love the dry-down descriptions -- I might not remember to get back to the notes to see the blotter updates.
Thanks very much. The addition of the drydowns seems to be working well so far.
“That’s a taxi you need to get out of.” 😆
Yes, who writes this stuff - ChatGPT?!?
Great video, as ever thanks.
Thank you 🙏

Pomegranate is grenade. Grenat is indeed garnet and refers to the stone/color.
Thanks very much 😊
I think the formula of Dior jadore l'or is ruined. The 2017 version was much better... Best regards 😊
There have been so many versions, I have completely lost track.
I just want to say you have aged like a fine wine.
Ha! Thank you 😊
