Roudnitska was known for that 'BO' effect is his fragrances. Moustache, Eau d'hermes, even Eau Sauvage had it too. He was so brilliant. Im going through a Roudnitska phase right now lol. I got a few vintage bottles of some of his stuff and he was on a different level. It makes so much sense that Pierre Bourdon was his apprentice. Kouros was definitely Bourdons way of showcasing what his master taught him.
Got the vintage bug as well now, thanks guys 🤣. I was happy with my perfume collection actually. Bought 15 vintage bottles the last couple of days, more than i bought throughout the whole year so far 😄
Vintage Rochas Femme is heavenly. I also just picked up an old Cosmair Polo for a song. It was the first fragrance I ever owned in the early 80s. The second was Kouros. Is yours the cologne?
Wow! Amazing vintage haul. That Diorella looks exactly like the splash bottle I owned in the late 70s. Absolutley glorious. Same for the Rochas Femme. I love it. You're so lucky to have a vintage perfume store near you. Enjoy your new acquisitions!👍😊
Off the wagon already. 😛 I was thinking about it and I’ve probably sold, used up or given away (😦) more vintages than I currently own. You can get locked into an expensive obsession with it, as I’m sure you’re well aware. 😆 Rochas Femme is glorious, all those old Dior’s are great too though, these are totally worth while if you find them for a decent price for sure.
Oh and Eugene I hate to sound like one of those people who tell you to check out stinky rubbish from artisan perfumers…. But…. Liz Moores Salome is a love letter to all these Cumin tinged perfumes like Femme and Declaration & Guerlain (just generally) it’s seriously good and I wouldn’t recommend it otherwise. 👍🏻 I think you’d be pleasantly surprised.
Ciao from Perth Western Australia. Wow, GFF , a gem for me , first got it on its release , loved it ever since. I was lucky to pick up 2 bottles of the original formula in 2011 while working in Hong Kong doing a specialty coffee roasting, cafe’ gig. HK has, had, amazing perfume retail stores. Cheers.
Good to see you dipping into the vintage Gene. As a frag head once you go vintage its hard to come back. On a side note wearing pavarotti pour homme in the 90+ degree texas heat and it starts to smell like alain delon classic in the heat but in the colder weather smells like a mix between the honey in boss number one & the patcholui and moss in givenchy gentleman 1974. Cheers on welcoming new fragrences into your home. -Ramsey
Ah, Gianfranco Ferre. Such an underrated and brilliant house. On the hunt for Pontaccio 21 and For Men (the one in the zoologist shaped bottle). Hell, even their more modern style fragrances are better than your regular mall scents of today, though they are easy reach/generic fragrance styles.
Great to see your bag of goodies! I wonder how many stream-goers will have zero purchases by the end of July? Not me - just got Aigner No. 1 Oud arrived (pretty soft stuff) plus more on the way including (uh oh) Pavarotti 😌 Have a good weekend!
As always love the video. Polo is is always , boring..but i knew you would like women's...i love Rochas Femme( to mi, i have an old one is so so much like Chypre Palatin).... Diorella iz amazing and have to go in to a hunt for that D&G......Ferre like Polo...nice but...to me it's so likd manh other old masculines from that era... Always say to my friends i like thwm but trully they don't move me....funny a day before you smelled Psihodelique i got it from a web site..... Needed to have it as a refference
Hello fantastic job on reviewing these masterpieces. I have a question could you please help me on this? I would like you to tell me which version of the dolce and Gabbana red cap pour femme you are reviewing here? Made in Germany? Or made in Italy? And who is the distributor? Procter and gable OR euroitalia? Is it the eau de toilette or the parfum de toilette? Thank you 😊
Dank is the perfect word to describe the character of oakmoss in the base of Polo. In fact, my buddy used to call it 'the spicy dank'. Originally it was the dicey skank but I made him change it. 😄 Plus we were in a band that played Danko Jones so it fit. Always dug the '92 D&G too. Probably because a chick I had a crush on used to wear it. One of the original boner scents. A sweet haul Eugen. Rock on.
Yes, that’s correct, it’s a reform 1989+ Cresp version. The original Roudnitska version does not have the word ‘Rochas’ written on the bottle apparently. So may sellers claim what they’re selling is ‘Vintage’, but they’re not…
Yeeaah...He kicks it in with some goodies ;)...but, what's for dinner?..(nothin'..forgot;) I remember Polo in '83-'86 in our fraternity...brother "Scrod" very, well to do, from Massachussetts splashing it on for every party and downtown outing...You could smell him coming and his room wreaked of it...Very, very nuclear juice.
I'm excited you got some REALLY great vintage scents...! I absolutely LOVE the Dolce & Gabbana red one for women (Though there is an edp (very hard to find but honestly worth it if you can nab one))and can I recommend another vintage women's (totally unisex) fragrance by Jacques Polge.. Diva by Ungaro... But you MUST get the vintage version either edp or pure parfum that was MADE IN FRANCE, cuz the reforms are made my ferregamo in Italy and is a REALLY different fragrance... If you want I'll send you a decant of my vintage edp just tell me where to send it...
Hello... Which version of the dolce and Gabbana red cap pour femme you prefer? The euroitalia or the Procter and gable version? Which version you have? There are different reformulations, the made in in Italy by euroitalia, the made in Italy by Procter and gable, the made in Germany and made in the UK by Procter and gable... Which one you love the most?
@@missmarie4513 I am quite sure I've only smelled TWO : the original euroitalia made in Italy, and the German version... I know there's a UK version but I don't think P&G ever made one that's actually made in Italy, though I could be wrong... So strictly comparing those two, the euroitalia is the one I love... And I do prefer the edp to the edt though, in this case... I feel the scent is IDENTICAL and the edp simply has longer wear (maybe a TOUCH more amber / vanilla in the base)... I don't even know if the German version has the edp? Do you have a preference?
How can the duck not like guerlain dandy - it’s one of the best since 2010. Dry woody, pale blue violet, a melancholy cloudless winters day in London 1870. Annoying its discontinued - hard to find only have 40ml left
Thomas hit me with a spray of the Ferre and within a few minutes I was totally sold, and then it just kept getting better. Good thing you typically prefer women’s marketed scents-the vintage nerd guys haven’t completely pillaged those…yet!
2... 125ml in the all black, and one of each size in the older vintages! Most of us agree the older vintages are missing the citrus in the top ... just goes to the mid almost right away , I need to send you some Jil Sander 2 for woman , is a Beautiful floral Chypre from 1983
Femme looks like the right vintage. I loved that stuff. Great haul.
Gianfranco Ferre is awesome! As well as vintage polo, great haul

I'm drooling over your bottles of Femme and Diorella👌.
I love the authenticity and joy in your voice when you smile with glee and say, “I just love perfume!” That made me smile.

Yes, those are old Diorella and Femme. You did great!
Great haul! Tagetes are marigolds. I'm not always a fan of that note, but it depends on the blend.
Missed these videos! The intro, the haul, it's great to see! The rain and thunder sets a great scene for perfume-testing too!
Some fantastic Edmond Roudnitska compositions.
Thank You for a new video, missing them
Nice to see a video again. I do love the live streams also.

Missed these videos! Guess not doing No Buy July?
Yeah buddy! Great haul
Looks like you have a vintage Fahrenheit on your shelf!? A comparison with the modern would be interesting!
That Diorella looks like an 80s edition or older. If it has en 'e' next to the volume it's post 1980. If it has the 'e' and a barcode it's post 1991.

Your Rochas Femme is not Roudnitska vintage. It is an Olivier Cresp reformulation. Fantastic nevertheless.
