how do i load my own text and logo into Designer to use Particular on them? when i chose emitter type i only saw Trapcode under Text/Mask, but i want to use my own text or image. thanks.

You can change to your custom option in the effect control panel in After Effects. The Designer currently doesn't have the ability to add your own object.

Try dropping the effect on your comp, you should see a link to open the designer in the effect control panel.

The old, limited aux system has been replaced! Now you can emit whole, full, particles systems from other particles (and then emit more systems from those particles)! It's much more powerful now.

At least one possible solution is that your particular layer should be at point 0 in the timeline. So in general, design first, move last

Gravity is now under the environment tab. We've introduced a whole new physics engine into Particular! Check out the "What's new in Particular 5 tutorial.

@@Ethann0523 completely replaced by a much more powerful option. Again, covered in the previously-mentioned tutorial. Basic summary: now you can just emit full particle systems from other particle systems. You can actually emit from emitted particles that were emitted...16 levels deep! MUCH more powerful, flexible, and makes more sense.

Check that you have the latest version of Trapcode, this usually solves the missing designer issue :)
