No. I'm Mourinho in, here's why: He took over a dead squad from LVG, ageing and had no life in it at all. Yet he's won more trophies in the last 2 years than Spurs and Liverpool have in the last 13 years put together. He lead United to their highest post-Sir Alex Prem finish last season. He deserves more respect. The players have let him down and should be ashamed of themselves. The Spurs game was the reason why he doesn't play attacking football. He attacked most of the game, and our weak exposed defence showed. Had Woodward signed another CB, Mourinho would feel more confident to attack in other games. Woodward Out!
Neville is a shameless man. What did he do in the club he managed. But say the club was already in shambles. And this is the same person criticizing some that inherited the same situation and gives them hope. All I see is media trying to make the bet happen.
400m since his tenure and crying he doesn't have enough money like Man City makes him the scapegoat. He's not getting the best out of his players. Criticising them publicly like he did in other clubs has demoralised the team. He should learn to take responsibility, look within rather than outwards where he continuously forwards the blame to others. Mourinho is a terrible motivator because he's selfish and self-centred. His constant changes to the back four unsettles the team. Bailly has easily been the best defender for the past 12months yet he had one bad game and was dropped in the last match against Spurs. Mourinho has no belief in his players and they now have no belief in him.
I think Gary Neville has this right (love the depth of his insights). The way I see it, Mourinho has incredible difficulties to overcome: high-level expectation from the Fergie years, players like Pogba and Sanchez who are highly paid but don't deliver (I think Mourinho expected to build a team around Pogba ... with his talent I expected him to be a better version of Viera ... too ill disciplined, gives the ball away too much), as Gary says the center backs don't cut it (OK Mourinho bought Lindelof and Bailly but Fergie bought Djemba-Djemba and Kleberson ... sometimes it doesn't work out), Lukaku who is not a clinical finisher, no recognised consistent winger to put crosses in, a tabloid press who are trying to manufacture Mourinho's exit to attract readers, gifted young players like Rashford and Martial who need to raise their game, some of the fans are making waves but these are only fans when Utd win (which is why they became fans in the Fergie era), a board (run by Woodward) who have blundered badly in not sanctioning new center backs, and so on. Mourinho is one of the most successful managers of all time! Hands up who wants to do the IMPOSSIBLE JOB after Mourinho gets fed up with it all (it's a wonder that he copes as well as he does)! One final point. Mourinho (as Jamie Carragher points out) wants to fix the problems as soon as possible (which is also what the fans want) by buying in quality. The board are interested in maximizing income and minimizing outgoings. If they can get a top four finish while doing that then fine. The board do not think it is necessary to win titles to keep the club in profit. That evidently means that the board don't particularly care what the fans want. The board need to rethink the issue and back Mourinho in the January window.
they don't deliver because Jose doesnt; play them where he should ...Sanchez is RW and Pogba is not a game organizer ...he's a defensive midfileder - tha't where he shined at Juventus ... Jose is just not getting the maximum out of his players and I think it his fault not the other way around ...Pogba was good at WC this summer !
Kiril Mihaylov With Sanchez's position I agree but Pogba has asked to play as a more attacking midfielder hence why we signed Fred and he played an an attacking midfielder in the WC
Mourinho isn't a developer which is why he likes to buy established players. They have already allowed him to spend a ton of money and out of that group which have improved or showed promise besides Bailly, our best defender who had a poor game and then was benched. That doesn't inspire confidence in players. He needs to stick with the same group of players to develop some type of chemistry which is nonexistent. Which players have improved under his tenure? Scott McTominay? Jessie Lingard? Please! Yes Mourinho's CV is unquestionable and he deservedly loves to remind us of his past successes but he's also one that has burned many bridges at various clubs with his toxicity. I just don't see how a boring, stubborn, blame-deflecting manager like him gets this right. I suppose the solution would be to allow him to spend MORE money.
A Mclaren I read through your whole statement and I agree with it wholesomely. We need a proper starting 11 instead of rotating each and every game, Bailly should definintly be starting at the back with no question. It's up front where we have an issue cause Rashford has been pretty mundane , Lukaku is missing open chances, Martial isn't performing and neither is Sanchez. The fact that we don't have a set right winger makes problems worse
He meant that if you put a performance like that with either Madrid or Barcelona you are basically resigning, the fans would wave a white handkerchief to express their disapproval of the manager, Exp: Benitez with Madrid when they got pummeled at home by Barca 4-0, it basically signaled the end to his Madrid career.
@@slyarsenal Sadly it is true.I believe it should be the responsibility of the fan channels to spread this message to the fan base. The negative media certainly doesn't help.
Anirudha Kharote bollocks to that, Fergie said we need to stand by our new Manager in Moyes, i certainly. Our best and most Iconic manager could not even bring the fans to stand by their manager, fans are fickle and results here and now is all they care about.
Ferguson left when his last team came to an end (Ferdinand, Evra, Vidic, Carrick). Normally, Ferguson was already building his next team and the old one was phased out. But Moyes has to start form scratch. By switching managers United hasn't really started working on a new team for the next five years. Instead they bought experienced top players (Van Persie already, Ibrahimovic, Di Maria, Falcao, Matic, Sanchez) to keep the team in the top, but it failed. They are in the top 4 but aren't a real CL contender. They need to bring in young players who will become the core of the team and accept that it will take a couple of years before they are back at the absolute top of European football.
They did sign young players, they just all turned out to be shite. The only decent signing made after Ferguson and before Mou was Martial, and maybe Herrera. Luke Shaw is starting to play well now, and Martial has been very poor recently.
I think this point is the key to what we see today MU just buy players without bringing fresh young blood from their own academy imo they should have 15-16 decent paid players today and in 2-3 years try to bring up young talens they have (sending them in 2nd/3rd English leagues to get experience against bully opponents) and try to inject them slowly in the system they have don't forget about SAF Class'92
here to say, mourinho never needed millionaire signings, all he needed was very specific players that he already has trust build in, but the board did not allow him to do that, and the players he got he had to work with, with less money and less players at Roma Inter and even before benfica, he fixed all the problems, he is experienced enough to know what the club needs, at roma right now he asked very specific names and they are literally changing the club entirely on those signings, with the biggest signing being only 20mil euros.
@@isaac15752 a team park the bus by literally just defending the whole time that’s what the term can from and that’s what Jose has been doing for most of his coaching career
@@jazzzzzz5626 But not anymore if you watch Roma they are good at keeping the ball and playing one touch passes. They still park the bus when they need to.
As much as we would love to upload the whole show, MNF is heavily led by match footage which we don't have rights to show globally on our UA-cam channel. We also want to give our Sky Sports customers premium content, so we can't give it all away for free here.
Yip, Jose got the tactics spot on. They were very good in the first half and should have gone in 2-0 up. How can you account for a 70 million striker missing an open net? Would have been a totally different game. Credit to Poch though who reacted at half time and changed it up to expose Hererra. My guess it was no coincidence Eriksen pushed right up and stood beside him for the 2nd goal. Jose gambled with Hererra at center back so he could easily switch to a 4 without having to make a sub. Had Lukaku buried that chance, the gamble probably would have paid off.
U answered your own question there. Kane 1 chance, scores, lukaku 1 chance, blazes over, story of lukakus career, not a natural finisher. You can't blame exterior factors. In lukaku they have a striker who needs a few chances to score most of time. If you look at other world class forwards they have a bad game but get 1 chance and score, lukaku tends to play well most weeks but needs several chances to score, there's 1 of there major issues to start off with
i think i must have missed something with Herrera, cause everyone is bringing it up as an issue but from my eyes he wasn't the worst defender on the pitch by far
The real problem with united is recruitment. We buy really bad players.if sir Alex was still at united we wld have had harry kane playing for us.We have lukaku with no backup proven goalscorer when he has bad form.Lukaku is too inconsistent and the other players dont score enuff goals.Mata shld be sold..there is nothing he does other than being a very nice guy.Smalling and jones shld go too.
No that just is problem Man Und needs manager that can create team from young and unone players like Sir Alex did we need Jardim from Monaco becousre all scouting staff is bild to fund younger players.
Mourinho no longer makes players better and every single player he has brought in apart from Matic has been a complete flop. He's terrible at spotting and developing talent now.
Thats a lie and the stats prove thats a lie!!. Manchester United were failing to qualify for champions league and finished 7th in 13-14, 4th in 14-15, 5th in 15-16 and 6th in 16-17th, Last season we finished second. That's progress dont be naive we have talented players with no winning mentality, needs time and more investment to challenge for anything. Plus individual stats for players are better after Mourinho. Pogbas numbers are better than at Juve, Rashford played more games last season, Valencias career was almost dead look at him now, Lingard is in England squad, Luke Shaw in England Squad and looking world class.Mourinho said he wants to attack in his 2017 interview but implied he doesnt have the centre backs to do the job. Forget the media bias be objective in your criticism.
@@gomezganii Valencia was already a beast under LVG. Rashford has not improved since LVG. Martial and Mata were better under LVG and so was Smalling. Mourinho has publicly criticised Shaw and doesn't even rate him. Pogba plays better under Deschamps. Lukaku has not improved under Mourinho and was probably better at Everton. Jones has not improved under Jose. Bought too flop CBs and couldn't get the best out of Mkhitaryan.
Sack one of the greatest managers of all time? And do what? Go back to square 1 and argue about sacking the next one as well 2 years down the road? Sacking does not help, all it does is destroy whatever work's been done by the previous manager. The manager needs to be backed by the board and he needs to be given time. Eventually, Mourinho is going to get it right, I'm sure of that. He took over a squad that was struggling very bad and he made us competitive again. 4 cup finals, winning 3 of them, and a second place finish isn't all too bad if you put things into perspective.
Scott Kelly he wanted signings this summer that he didn’t get because he wasn’t backed by the board I blame Jose partially but the board are also at fault the first half vs Spurs Jose showed the fans attacking football. 2nd half United we’re attacking but because of the weak defence we were exposed at the back. And that comes down to team selection. Jones and smalling ( chuckle brothers) should never be picked together. Smalling is decent but when he partners up with Jones he flops. Where was Bailly? Just cause of one bad game he was dropped that’s Jose’s fault
Mourinho was happy enough with how they operate when they wore sabotaging Van Gaal for a good 6 months talking about how he(Mourinho) should be the new manager. He had no complaints then, so he can have none now.
Mourinho made a progress for the team, do you remember how bad man utd was before Mourinho? i think the only things Man Utd need from now is player improvement not new players.
4.20 mark. Can't criticise Lindelof as he is out of his depth @ this level? The man played @ a world cup. Smalling is a decent centre back who always has a bad mistake in him. Jones is too injury prone and like Smalling probably, his confidence is shot to pieces. Both players should move away from old trafford to rebuild their careers if nothing else. Dariman was supposed to leave for Italy in the summer but the move was cancelled @ the last minute due to Valencia's injury from the US tour. Like Kagawa, Blind and Schneiderlin before him he is not good enough to play in a team that challenges and wins league titles and that will get to the last 8 or 4 of the UCL. Likewise Rojo who seems to have completely disappeared. That's the problem with Utd. Over the last 8/9 years they have signed too many "OK to Good" players. They'll do fine in the group stage of the UCL and maybe even get you past the round of 16 if you get a favourable draw but they are not good enough to consistently get to the latter stages of the UCL or win the odd one. Likewisw the EPL. Too many of Utd's players would be classed in my view as 2nd and 3rd tier premier league players who'll do fine @ Leicster, Burnley, Newcastle, Everton et al but they are not good enough for consistent top 4 finish or to challenge or win league titles. Rafael, Fabio, Nani, Anderson, Manucho, Macheada, Zaha, Nick Powell, Kagawa, Blind, Schneiderlin, Fellaini, Darimian, Rojo, Samlling and Jones. These are just from the top of my head there's probably several more. I would not include Mkhitaryan as i honestly felt he was treated poorly by the "Special One" and Utd never saw the best of him. Di Maria was a massive missed opportunity and bad luck. Rant over. Back to Champ Manager
I agree with a lot of what you said. I think it's a perfect (or maybe the opposite) storm of good-ish players and a stubborn manager who doesn't inspire confidence anymore. I'd even throw Lukaku and Pogba in the good but not great players. I think Lukaku has potential to be great, just lacks confidence, but Pogba is more style than substance. Way too reckless with the ball for a midfielder. And I'm a Porto fan from Portugal so speaking ill of Mourinho pains me, but facts are facts
I had to laughed at the end. I'm a United fan, and I see a little of Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal in us. Chelsea, keep changing managers. Liverpool, talks about history. Arsenal, fight to stay in the top 4. Can't help but laugh. Hope to see that change at some point.
This is partly why Man Ure are suffering now ... Man Utd are bigger post-Fergie than they were in Ron Atkinson's era (and even then they were a glamour club)
It was Jose talking about history lmao. You lot had it good season on season with Ferguson, but you too have to come down off your high horse. 100 years from now they will talk about Ferguson, he's like Bolt, or Serena Williams. Generational, United should go for a young manager that has good experience, that is not nice, prickly and tough minded thats want to attack. If you look at LFC, Spurs and City, all want to attack. Arsenal and Chelsea are left to be seen. Mourinho sticks out because he's cautious and only care about results by any means. Its polarising
@@thatboi5415 a lot of United fans don't know before SAF era, while the rest gotten used to it after nearly 30yrs. And the way Liverpool and City have gone, it's like desperation time to see success again. But I think backing a young manager with some young talent is the way to go from here.
Any to think Klopp got criticised for showing support for his players when they drew 1-1 a few seasons ago. Liverpool couldnt be more united at the moment. United are all over the show and long may it continue.
Mourinho is still dealing with players like Jones, Smalling, Valencia, Young, Herrera, Fellaini etc.. these are players from 4-8 years ago used by other managers.. theres no width on the right hand side at all, this still isn't a Mourinho side, the people saying sack him cause he's spent 400m are autism, 200m was on 2 players, that are meant to be star players and ain't producing, 400m in this day and age doesn't overhaul a squad, too much deadwood in Man Utd and if you half back a manager you won't get the end product, only reason Utd finished 2nd last season was cause of 10 men behind the ball which you also whinge about, yes lindeloff looks a dead end but every manager is guilty of a poor signing, bailly is a good player just had a bad game against brighton.
I agree. I think the CB signings Jose made were necessary cause the Smalling Rojo and Jones are awful players. Bailly came at 24 years old. He's a fast and powerful CB and can be a bit rash but he will improve. He was a good signing cause we don't have a CB like that. The Lindelof one confused me cause we should have gotten a more experienced CB instead. That would have been a better option but we don't know if the more experienced and better quality ones were available so that's whatever. Every signing we have made has been necessary to improve the squad. The problem is that some of our so called star players are not performing and I'm sick of it. Pogba and Lukaku were a joke against Spurs and the defenders apart from Shaw were bad. If 4 or 5 players in your starting 11 are not performing (who are also part of the spine of the team) then it's difficult to win games.
3 seasons later it's not a Mourinho team?! Yet Pep took 1 season to know his team and bought the right players instead of just buying for the sake Jose is the new Ardene.....past it
so he shouldn't have any defensive responsibilities? Look at any top team in the world, every player other than the CF has a responsibility to contribute defensively
Gary nailed it: no structure, team selection was atrocious. You can have all the tactics but if you’re set up wrong you’re always going to fail (99 times out of 100). Mourinho doesn’t know who his best XI is or where to play them
Justin Ngeny I’ll tell you what our best XI looks like: dea gea (GK) Valencia (RB) Bailly (CB) Rojo (CB) Shaw/Darmian (LB) Mata (RM) Herrera (CDM) Pogba (LM) Sanchez (RM) Lukaku (ST) Martial (LW) With Rashford, Pereira, Matic, Fred, Lindelof, Jones, Dalot etc there to rotate in as and when required. But Jose won’t play that team because he wants at least 7 defensive players on the pitch at any given time 🤮
I usually agree with Neville but boy is he wrong that at Chelsea the fans weren't continuously backing him. Like wtf. Chelsea fans were singing his name long after he was sacked in 2015, they even booed the players who 'betrayed' him. Every single game during that season till December, his name was being sung loudly. It was unparalleled support. EDIT: Also why does Neville keep supporting Jose so much?
bobby fagan Is Embarrassing? They wanted a picture with a professional footballer. It’s a show of sportsmanship and respect if anything. Secondly this could be one of the only changes to get a photo with that specific player. Leave the tribalism to when the 90 minutes are on. Grow up after that and realise he was just doing the job he’s paid to do. If Liverpool fans had a picture with Bale after the CL final you wouldn’t be saying the same.
@James Waters, most United fans are plastic. The same stick Chelsea and Citeh get is all the bandwagoners once clubs start winning. We know most Man U supporters are not from Manchester... Liverpool had the same thing back in the 70s and 80s. Arsenal the same in the late 80s and 90s-early 2000s.
United's problems lie solely with ex players who are so called pundits. Neville & Ferdinand the main culprits in protecting a useless tactician in OGS. They won't criticise him because they don't want banned from the club. Dear Sky, get Neville off the screens
People seem to forget that all of Jose's teams, when they were at their best, had a world class (or at least damn close to it) backline in every respect. At Porto, Carvalho, Ferreira were on the rise, and Nuno Valente and Jorge Costa were no slouches. At Chelsea, Terry, Cole, Carvalho, Ferreira. At Inter, Lucio, Samuel Maicon, Chivu. At Madrid, Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo, Carvalho again, and Arbeloa was even solid. At Chelsea (again), same thing. Now, at United, he doesn't have anywhere CLOSE to that. No offense to any of the current players, but none of them hold a candle to any back line he has ever had. Yes, he is culpable for buying those players and not improving them, but of the current crop, the only one with real solid potential, at the moment anyway, is Luke Shaw (who was an absolute monster against Spurs). Forget the tactics and style of play, because several of his teams have played good stuff before (especially early Chelsea), but when his teams had a solid defense foundation, he tended to give more free reign to the players up front. The midfield is good, strikers are fine, keeper is world class, but that back line is shambles. Sometimes they say one player won't make a difference, but look at Van Dijk for Pool. Smalling, Jones, Bailly, and Lindelof just aren't up to the task and they're gonna ship goals all year.
1-6. Good decision to side with players like Pogba and fire your manager. What a way to run a club. It turned out great for United. Ole at the wheel. Playing the United way. Enjoy it.
Moyes does not look so bad now! Mourinho will not be around for more than 2 years, he sets his teams up for reactive football, sitting back and hitting teams on counter that was his real team that won the league, he wants to build back four of 2011 Inter which had some of the best defenders in the world prime maicon, Cordoba, zenetti, Lucio, chivu, Samuel, materatzi or how ever you spell his name, i had to cheat on football manager 2006 to get 4 of those to my team lol he won't get the time to form world class defence so he can grind out 1-0 2-0 on the counter. United are getting quotes of 100m plus a player, players are using United to get contract renewals, Sanchez ripped them off for 500k week contract, they're getting beat to young talents for the future look at Barcelona building for the future in the last 2 seasons they have clear identity of how they play and got dembele for neymar coutinho for iniesta Arthur and Malcolm to compete with rakatic ....what United needs is manager who will stick around and slowly build this team for the future and I mean compete to sign the next generations of hazard, varene, umtiti, dembele, isco, grizzemann, dybala, coutinho all discovered or brought on the cheap...they need world class scouting team to get players and from the looks of it city has them beat to that too.
Just a little Fact that wasn't mentioned. Mourinho is supposedly under pressure just for losing back to back games. His Overall Win Record at United currently stand at 61%. Only 1 Percent worse than his Inter Spell the last time he won the European Cup and 2.2% better than his last Spell at Chelsea where he won the League! Yes of course every United fan would love to Win the League this season. But if he finishes 2nd again. Goes further in the Champions League and manages to win another Trophy, then it is better than last season and a sign of Progress. There's no point sacking him now and getting a new manager in post Transfer Window as the new manager will only have to inherit the current players and wait for months to bring the 2-3 missing players in that Mourinho wanted. The only situation where it could happen is if United go the next 10-12 games on a Chelsea in 2015 style run of only getting 11 points and suddenly finding themselves in Mid-table as Christmas gets closer and closer. Then you could argue for a change. But with Burnley having a bad start and tiredness from their 6 extra games in Europe they've already had, I think United will go there and get a good result.
People might say am plastic, but Jones, smalling, Valencia, young, lingard and fellaini are not good enough to play for United they are average at best and should have been shipped out in mourinho second season. Jones and smalling can’t play 10 games in a row at a consistent level they are shite, Valencia is not a RB. Lingard and fellaini are shite. If true united fans really believe Manchester United is a top club do any of this players I mentioned be able to walking into a top clubs starting 11 they won’t even get into wolves starting 11
I think you've got to realize this is the way football has gone,, it's sad but you see couples out on dates both on their phones on social media .. Fast food, selfie sticks, on line dating kids not playing out.. It's a diffrent world.. I watched a guy at a football match get out his laptop and play a game..
Mourinho was badly treated at that vile club.. He's a winner and will be successful again. I used to support utd from 1993 until a few years back. Thank god a switched clubs I can laugh at them now 😂
Once a united always a United. Gary neville is amazing and we cannot sacks managers one after other. Keep calm guys (who pointed out to the team and manager). Comm'n Man Utd.
Neville trying to insult Chelsea but mind you Chelsea is the most successful English club in the premier league in the last 10years and still sacked managers. United are forgetting is not about the manager but the club
krizz89 respect its earned over the years and with your previous managers since fergie and now mourinho, United are not respected anymore. Everyone blamed Chelsea when they bought expensive players now everyone is doing it. Blamed Chelsea when they sacked managers now everyone is doing it. Lol
Individual errors isn’t the managers fault, it’s the players. Jose can’t control what they choose to do, he can only implement tactics and ideas. He couldn’t control lukaku missing and he couldn’t control lindelof’s failed back pass, for example.
Man united will challenge for the league this season dont let this bad start fool you they have to much talent not to compete the players need a little bit more time to gel but when they do they will take the premier league by storm just remember the callibar of players they have in place. (Arsenal fan)
This is a maturity of understanding a game of football, Jose will not come to the field to play for them,.. we can see clearly that most of the players are not too good enough to wear Manchester united jersey
He's had 3 summer windows and spent too much money to be given a pass. He should try and coach the players he has rather than spend for once. I hate to say it as an Arsenal fan, but Pochettino hasn't complained about the board after spending nothing, Jose needs to take a leaf out of his book.
Of course Utd would be different than Chelsea, they had Ferguson since the 90's. Man Utd are realising just how tough it is to continue competing for the title and trophies when you have a coach who is under performing. They have gone through 3 managers in 5 seasons already. Keep that up for another 5-10 seasons and they will start looking like Chelsea. Problem is, not sure the same success will happen for them as times are changing with City now the dominant force in England.
Jose has the trophies and experience in different leagues. I say my only problem is that yes he hasn’t gotten the defenders he wanted but he has to coach the ones he has. He has done better with less before. Another thing to consider after awhile Jose hasn’t lasted more than two years at a club. This is his second year at the club....
its like theyre coming up with new tactics on the go .. if they want to keep playing like they did the first half consistently, they needed the fitness and familiarity to keep pace .. its obvious that nothing much were done pre-season, granted they got world cup players but the ones thats left needed to step up ... therefore, they shouldve stayed with the boring game plan n not bow down to the media n fans .. n the bloody media ended up laughing at Jose anyways ... also they shouldve been active during the transfer window, especially selling players (the ones that wanted to leave anyways), it wouldve been favorable to the owners anyways .. their net spend is 3 times more than Liverpool but the quality is dissipating (Coutinho sale was a big game changer) .. they gotta start selling ... off with their heads!!
I'm not a Mourinho fan at all, actually I really dislike him. But he needs to be allowed to finish the house. One of the dumbest things you can do is to hire someone to build you a team/house and then deny him the materials for it to finish. Yes I know Mourinhos already spent big, but Mourinho feels that these 2 centerbacks would almost be a finishing of the team/house and I agree, being an Arsenal fan even. No United wouldn't win CL if they got 2 class center backs, but they would become a very stabile team, they would challange for the PL and within 1-2 years I could see them competing for the CL as well.
The earlier Gary Neville realises that Manchester United are like every other club they complained against, the better for him They are now 1.spending 2.sacking 3. not giving chance to the academy 4. playing defensive football etc .....
I hadn't watched United for a while. I was shocked at how bad they were against Tottenham. I'm even more shocked that people said they played good. The only good thing I saw was pressing up high, that's it. It's special that they made runs? Their game was even worse before? Neville is talking here about them like he just saw a great side play. Next to that Tottanham was totally not in form, playing away in a different way which caused uneasiness for them. Even then they gave United a 3-0 beating. Pressing, energy? That's something standard. Nothing special. There was no pressing or energy before this? Well damn.
Tottenham now dominated Chelsea, it'll keep happening and peopel will remain conflicted and spout their reasons for losing. The game comes with every possible variable, consistency is what sets teams apart, Tottenham are consistent. Liverpool are. City are. None of the rest are.
Moyes should have been given chance, Fergie said it him self teams are built on cycles, Moyes should have brought that up with the board before taking the job. Moyes should have kept Fergie's staff and league winning team together and slowly faded them out. He should have went and did his shopping at top teams with promising players but not on same level as United its hard to raid Bayern, Juve, Real, Barcelona but teams like Atletico, Sevilla, Shaktar, Dortmund teams that play good in europa league and do ok in champions league and their league have eye for talent they always develop players and sell them on, 2012/13 Carvajal was at bayer, Sandro/Danilo/James Rodrigues were at Porto, Gaitian and Garay were at Benfica Willian/Fernandinho/Douglas Costa/ Shaktar, Rakatic was at Sevilla, Banega Valencia, Godin and Turan at atletico, Isco was at Malaga the year they reached the semi final of the champions league Gotze went to Bayern that same summer but lewandowski/hummels/gundogan/reus were still there, you don't have to be professional to spot talented player, like how are you football manager and don't know about these players, he wanted Thiago ok, but Thiago went with Pep to Bayern but he went and brought Fellaini instead, got rid of Fergie's staff and the old team leaders, the team struggled but had he went on and brought 4 midfielders and 2 wing backs he would have had chance at survival and then got striker the following year with 2 center backs and then fazed out rio/evra/ rafeal....3rd season got another 2 inverted wingers and striker and fazed out vidic, van persie and so on
Nevill talking about chelsea fan being rude towards Jose is stupid...He's generalizing...all fans are not the same type...look at Man united fans...some of them quit watching the game before it is over...so what about that attitude? Chelsea is where Jose actually belong and will always be gratitude for what he has done for the club.
No. I'm Mourinho in, here's why:
He took over a dead squad from LVG, ageing and had no life in it at all.

James M. Gary Neville, The voice of Voiceless
Gary Neville Let me remind you that Chelsea in the last 15 years have won 15 Trophys with or without Mourinho, And United?
Neville is a shameless man. What did he do in the club he managed. But say the club was already in shambles. And this is the same person criticizing some that inherited the same situation and gives them hope. All I see is media trying to make the bet happen.
Neville: "Fans will continue to back the manager through thick and thin" They flew a plane over old Trafford saying Moyes out🤣🤣🤣

@@sigarratt9174 You butthurt cause it's true 🤣🤣 Man Utd about to live in the past by sacking one manager after the other 😂😂
Steve Nicol So. Who cares.
Mourinho is a scapegoat for narrow-minded media and fans. United's problems lie deeply in the club. Mourinho in, for this season AT LEAST.
@E .S
Board is responsible for the misuse of 400 million. Clueless fan as per
Mourinho has no belief in his players and they now have no belief in him.
get rid of Woodward, hes the problem
exactly ! tha'ts why he needs to go ! NOW ...
not WooDARD ..jOSE is the problem
Nothing wrong with Bailly, one poor game doesn't make him bad. He's only 24. Give him a break
“Thats a white handkerchief job in Spain by the way....I know that”
Gary Neville August 2018
The same reason De Gea (usually) is amazing for Man Utd and horrible for Spain. He can't handle the pressure.

I think this point is the key to what we see today
MU just buy players without bringing fresh young blood from their own academy
imo they should have 15-16 decent paid players today and in 2-3 years try to bring up young talens they have (sending them in 2nd/3rd English leagues to get experience against bully opponents) and try to inject them slowly in the system they have
don't forget about SAF Class'92
here to say, mourinho never needed millionaire signings, all he needed was very specific players that he already has trust build in, but the board did not allow him to do that, and the players he got he had to work with, with less money and less players at Roma Inter and even before benfica, he fixed all the problems, he is experienced enough to know what the club needs, at roma right now he asked very specific names and they are literally changing the club entirely on those signings, with the biggest signing being only 20mil euros.

if Lukaku hadn't missed that open goal we'd have been talking a Man U win 100%
Kane had one chance and he scored, then the wheels fell off
Thats the difference between kane and lukaku
Wrong.. Kane missed the easiest chance of the match, header from 5 yards.
We buy really bad players.if sir Alex was still at united we wld have had harry kane playing for us.We have lukaku with no backup proven goalscorer when he has bad form.Lukaku is too inconsistent and the other players dont score enuff goals.Mata shld be sold..there is nothing he does other than being a very nice guy.Smalling and jones shld go too.
yeh lol thats why the last 3 players that fergie bought are now playing in spains second division or are busts
Totally agree 👍👍👍
Sounds like the comments that Gooners used to make about Wenger.
He has been backed that's the problem. He's spent ridiculous money on lindloff and Bailly.
He will never get it right....real Madrid and Chelsea fired him so why is utd any diff
How the media have treated Jose is disgusting
How about how he treats others and his own players even?
The media literally tore into Wenger for years and he just copped it with class. Whenever the going gets tough, Jose melts down.
Mourinho was happy enough with how they operate when they wore sabotaging Van Gaal for a good 6 months talking about how he(Mourinho) should be the new manager. He had no complaints then, so he can have none now.

Not history, pedigree. It filters down from generation to generation - expectations are always sky high
This is partly why Man Ure are suffering now ... Man Utd are bigger post-Fergie than they were in Ron Atkinson's era (and even then they were a glamour club)
So true
It was Jose talking about history lmao. You lot had it good season on season with Ferguson, but you too have to come down off your high horse. 100 years from now they will talk about Ferguson, he's like Bolt, or Serena Williams. Generational, United should go for a young manager that has good experience, that is not nice, prickly and tough minded thats want to attack. If you look at LFC, Spurs and City, all want to attack. Arsenal and Chelsea are left to be seen. Mourinho sticks out because he's cautious and only care about results by any means. Its polarising

Very mature analysis from Gary. There’s something in having experienced a situation yourself.
Any to think Klopp got criticised for showing support for his players when they drew 1-1 a few seasons ago. Liverpool couldnt be more united at the moment. United are all over the show and long may it continue.
Gary is being too kind by saying Mourinho's spent £200m, its actually closer to £400m.
around 400 mln euros which around 350 mln quid ... so Garry is not being precise !
If I’m a man utd fan, I’d be praying for their defence when Liverpool or City comes to old Trafford
We'll probably beat them, but then lose at Huddersfield. That's united under Jose.
I love these guys, refreshing to hear analysis at this level.
HE BROUGHT new players like Baii . lindeliof , Snachez and so on ....so the argument doesn;t add up ...
Yet Pep took 1 season to know his team and bought the right players instead of just buying for the sake

Ever since Neville's stint at valencia he has changed his tune on the sacking of managers because he believes he and they didn't get enough time.

Enthralled?! Lol. How the mighty have fallen. If that's anyones idea of exciting, then you're deluded.

Here they are again
Neville's analysis. Respect ⚽ always in awe of how he uses his experience in short succinct sentences. honest and on point.
Those supposed Man Utd fans who took selfies with a player who scored two goals against your own team need to be banned from Utd games for life
They could be Brazilian doe
KB Gaming who cares if they are. That’s just disrespectful
I think you've got to realize this is the way football has gone,, it's sad but you see couples out on dates both on their phones on social media .. Fast food, selfie sticks, on line dating kids not playing out.. It's a diffrent world.. I watched a guy at a football match get out his laptop and play a game..
get banned for life because they respect a great opponent?
They might have been tourists.
In the mean time the team is being destroy, why has Rashford, Marshall, Sanchez, pogba not playing as they did last year
Mourinho was badly treated at that vile club.. He's a winner and will be successful again. I used to support utd from 1993 until a few years back. Thank god a switched clubs I can laugh at them now 😂
@Johnny Ola how so? Because I've upgraded to a more successful club?
Keep supporting Mourinho Gary, we're all right behind you.
Neville is so obsessed by Chelsea and its success.
Why you wouldn't be. Chelsea is the most successful premier league team since 2004
Oh shut up
I think he just loves his club.
Yellow Scar Lightning Scream very funny.
Leon Müller that’s why we win, we realise when things go wrong. But United kept moyse and Van gal for too long
Once a united always a United.
United are forgetting is not about the manager but the club
mate not even in 10years but in good 15years we are leading England. .....London is blue no change
Still Chelsea lacks identity. United have an identity of being a respectable club
Chelsea were most sucessful with Mourinho
krizz89 respect its earned over the years and with your previous managers since fergie and now mourinho, United are not respected anymore.
Everyone blamed Chelsea when they bought expensive players now everyone is doing it. Blamed Chelsea when they sacked managers now everyone is doing it. Lol
Check the club Palermo and It's owner Zamparini. I believe he averages about 3-4 sackings per season. Check where it got them in the end.
Hey, any chance of SkySportsNews or Soccer Saturday returning to Freeview ?
Sack mourino and bring in zidane simple
Individual errors isn’t the managers fault, it’s the players. Jose can’t control what they choose to do, he can only implement tactics and ideas. He couldn’t control lukaku missing and he couldn’t control lindelof’s failed back pass, for example.
best man u performance under jose utd 0 spurs 3 pls stay at utd for next 10 years jose
The problem i see is if the players start to refuse to play under mourinhos management, they come on but be lacklustre to try and must him.
Yeah Gary, Man Utd are not Chelsea. Chelsea win things. Cheeky feck
3 seasons and we still don't know our best 11. Jose out
Man united will challenge for the league this season dont let this bad start fool you they have to much talent not to compete the players need a little bit more time to gel but when they do they will take the premier league by storm just remember the callibar of players they have in place. (Arsenal fan)
Yeah and Mourinho is the man to do it. Don't sack him😂🤣😂🤣😂
This is a maturity of understanding a game of football, Jose will not come to the field to play for them,.. we can see clearly that most of the players are not too good enough to wear Manchester united jersey
Lol... More time to gel? The only new player in that team is Fred, so how much more time do they need?
Challenge for the league, this just sums up how dumb arsenal fans outside their own club
There is no replacement ready right now
Rohan Prince zidane
I hope Jardim leaves Monaco
Zidane is a bum lol
Muscle Man
Zidane would do nothing with this squad, he only did well at Madrid coz he had one of the greatest squads of all time
@@suckyourmum738 Zidane will be a flop.
Obviously not. United is simply awful, from board to players
Suraj's Opinion is Better mate why do you still exist? You know nothing about football
@@suckyourmum738
Wanna demonstrate that
Muscle man, Hahahaha xD
What is gary on about? when we finished 10th we sang his name every week and supported him every game. we were so furious when he got sacked.
Supporting failures. That's Gary.
its like theyre coming up with new tactics on the go .. if they want to keep playing like they did the first half consistently, they needed the fitness and familiarity to keep pace .. its obvious that nothing much were done pre-season, granted they got world cup players but the ones thats left needed to step up ... therefore, they shouldve stayed with the boring game plan n not bow down to the media n fans .. n the bloody media ended up laughing at Jose anyways ... also they shouldve been active during the transfer window, especially selling players (the ones that wanted to leave anyways), it wouldve been favorable to the owners anyways .. their net spend is 3 times more than Liverpool but the quality is dissipating (Coutinho sale was a big game changer) .. they gotta start selling ... off with their heads!!
Whats Gary talking about, he was a utter failure in Spain.
SUBZ he won the league with the highest goal tally in one season. Broke Barca/pep roll of winning he league
Must of been the year i was out cold with a coma.
@@sidvic767 He's talking about Neville not Jose lmfao
How i love watching Liverpool not win the league 😍😍😍 anyone else but liverpool..another slip coming😂😂😂😂 watch this space
filipe viz look how sad you are lad
Why would they ever think of doing that?
Well said Gary
The earlier Gary Neville realises that Manchester United are like every other club they complained against, the better for him
They are now 1.spending 2.sacking 3. not giving chance to the academy 4. playing defensive football etc .....
He should have went and did his shopping at top teams with promising players but not on same level as United its hard to raid Bayern, Juve, Real, Barcelona but teams like Atletico, Sevilla, Shaktar, Dortmund teams that play good in europa league and do ok in champions league and their league have eye for talent they always develop players and sell them on, 2012/13 Carvajal was at bayer, Sandro/Danilo/James Rodrigues were at Porto, Gaitian and Garay were at Benfica Willian/Fernandinho/Douglas Costa/ Shaktar, Rakatic was at Sevilla, Banega Valencia, Godin and Turan at atletico, Isco was at Malaga the year they reached the semi final of the champions league Gotze went to Bayern that same summer but lewandowski/hummels/gundogan/reus were still there, you don't have to be professional to spot talented player, like how are you football manager and don't know about these players, he wanted Thiago ok, but Thiago went with Pep to Bayern but he went and brought Fellaini instead, got rid of Fergie's staff and the old team leaders, the team struggled but had he went on and brought 4 midfielders and 2 wing backs he would have had chance at survival and then got striker the following year with 2 center backs and then fazed out rio/evra/ rafeal....3rd season got another 2 inverted wingers and striker and fazed out vidic, van persie and so on
Come on Chelsea being a brutal club to Mourinho?! We sang his name even after he was sacked
velan v maybe after his first period but defo not after his second spell
Look at this Net you probably didn’t see the game against Sunderland (the game after Leicester that got Mourinho sacked then)
I want neville as a manager at united.. and let him commenting himself at skyport... every weeks.. that is one hell of a fun.. :D
We have a class manager. The most successful in the premier league for the league. It's time to have patience. With time we will improve
Nevill talking about chelsea fan being rude towards Jose is stupid...He's generalizing...all fans are not the same type...look at Man united fans...some of them quit watching the game before it is over...so what about that attitude? Chelsea is where Jose actually belong and will always be gratitude for what he has done for
the club.
The issue with the players is that is no real leader on the pitch, United need a strong Captain to drive the team.
i love Gary Neville so much.
