Really enjoyed that, Roy Keane is a legend in my eyes, senior Irish players should have stood up for him in Saipan. He wanted things to be right. Great professional and gave everything.
He was a very poor manager at Ipswich. Couldn’t motivate, bullied certain players, fell out with them, ended up hated. You can tell from his answers to questions about being late he doesn’t have the ability to put his arm round a player and adapt his style. He was a bad manager. Forget his charisma forget his ability as a player. He was a poor manager and he spent millions at Ipswich and was at a decent club that could have been a good platform for him.

That was one of the best pieces of football related content I’ve seen in a long long time. Respect to Gary Neville, he is doing a great job , knowledgeable, passionate and smart. As for Roy ,what a player and leader but it’s great to see another side of him recently. Great job to Gary and all who were involved.
Have you seen the audience with Roy and Gary in Ireland? It's brilliant, Roy's so refreshingly honest about everything......and the crowd love him all the more for it!
This was my favourite footballer interview I've ever seen. Roy's such a down to earth footballing legend. Tells it how it is. I wish more footballers was more like him these days.
We will probably never see another player quite like him........modern football is awash with mediocre, passionless clowns that have been media trained to within an inch of their lives!
Same, i'm so bored of the modern footballer. They're like robots, i fall asleep listening to them talk. It's like listening to politicians. I just want to hear honesty, not media- trained bullshit.
I’m convinced someone injected Roy with a truth serum long ago, and since then he can only show his true colours. The man is incredibly sincere, wears his heart on his sleeve. He gets things wrong, but he’s incredibly genuine while doing it.
No its just that everyonev who is in the media or for goodness sake players these days are all fake because they dont know any better its all around them, media, their coaches, physio staff all this other ''professional'' bullshit that is pushed down everyones throat, roy keane is a legend and brings faith that real people still exist in the football legend stratosphere, and an unbelievably good player just quietly, most economical passer, greatest leader and toughest defender with a smart motor!
@@dannyboy9573 why did you start this with “no” if you essentially agreed with me? Lol. I would agree that there are a lot of insincere people in the football industry particularly in media, he’s honest by his own merits but compared against them he looks like the most truthful man to have ever lived
Hands down, the best interview I have seen and enjoyed watching; EVER. Roy completely transparent, honest and relaxed as he walked the dog. As a fly in the woods, I learnt more about the man, from the man himself, rather than the press. He has a clear vision of ethics and standards to which he holds himself to account and is frustrated by those who are not so committed and set their bar so low. Who wouldn't be!! What a guy. Great respect. Thanks Gary for bringing that to us.
Roy Keane is the greatest captain we've ever had. True leader on and off the pitch. He made all our other players play with passion. His influence alone is what it's missing in the modern game.
For me he's probably the best captain the league has ever seen. And that's coming from a Liverpool fan. I know deep inside that I would follow Roy into hell if he'd ask me haha. Such a character and no bullshit.

@@richardevans7035 think they on about his personality, not as a player Gerard was brilliant no doubt but it tho...let's be fair. Gerrard, scholes, viera, lampard, Keane, makelele, pires, haman, all very good players for that generation.
I much prefer listening to Roy talk about the things he enjoyed about his life & career. Must've heard the Schmeichel/ Fergie/ Mick McCarthy stories 50 times each over the years, but I find it far more enjoyable to hear why he actually enjoyed playing and how much of a dream it was. Just watch this, not a United fan, but that is the best 58 minutes 39 seconds I've spent in months. I know their mates but their chemistry is brilliant and so much of what Roy Keanes talks about is so true. I now fully understand how he led such a room full of egos to the success they had!
As a Liverpool fan Roy is a working class legend still speaks of graft, dedication and respect, all the necessities to develop and function a winning mentality in the beautiful game One of the best
Honestly i could listen to this man all day, talks straight no nonsense, like Clough who ironically managed Roy at Forest. One of my fav players at United, I’ve got so much respect for him - ill never forget his performance against Juventus 2nd Leg 99!
"How many bottles did you have?" - Sir Alex "10, 11 bottles...that was every hour" -Keano 🤣🤣 The more I see Roy Keane the happier I am. I love this guy!
We need some more appreciation for how well that dog has been trained. Roy didn’t have to say a word to it. Was off it’s lead the whole time and just slowly followed and sat down whenever they stopped.
Doesnt suprise me one bit, he is a real leader with actual alpha energy. Dogs pick up on that. Most of the time dogs get annoying when they see you as an equal or even worse when they think they are the leader in the house.
Roy had a great career but the 1 thing that’ll always stand out for me was that Juventus game in 99. Getting beaten 2-0, he gets booked knowing he’s not going to make the final if they can somehow pull it back. I was gutted for him but at the same time thinking that was one helluva shift he put in to make sure his teammates made the final. What a captain he was.
Fantastic interview, Gary and Roy talking for an hour. The quickest hour. I could listen to Roy chat all day, no bullshit, just straight honest opinions, refreshing.
The fact that someone telling the truth and not being fake is seen as novel nowadays is a damning endictment of society. It used to be the rule rather than the exception
They don’t make men like Roy Keane anymore! Not a United fan in the slightest but my favourite all time Premier League player. His battles with Vieira were great. Legend.
Zerg Nub Yeah Scholes technically was far better, however, for me in terms of leadership, desire, passion & mentality Keane was light years beyond anyone in the Prem.

Great to see how strong these twos friendship is. They can laugh and joke about serious things and both know when eachother is being serious and respect eachother like old war vets. Both of them speaking very honestly and always looking into the ground visualizing the past before they speak of it.

“That’s his job”
His dog has zero joy and zero personality after years of a strict regime lol. NOT fun
No way it was Scott Sinclair he’s a top pro and a good guy
@@MarlboroughBlenheim1
If you were consistently late for work, would your manager put your arm round you? He won't get another managerial job in football because of comments like this and players needing to be babysat 24/7
Legend of a player, had a reasonable managerial career (1/2). Top top man as well
@takesone2knowone here moron again

Gary Neville does great interviews…Roy is always Roy passion class humour humility and a god fearing man
That was one of the best pieces of football related content I’ve seen in a long long time. Respect to Gary Neville, he is doing a great job , knowledgeable, passionate and smart. As for Roy ,what a player and leader but it’s great to see another side of him recently. Great job to Gary and all who were involved.
Totally agree
Have you seen the audience with Roy and Gary in Ireland? It's brilliant, Roy's so refreshingly honest about everything......and the crowd love him all the more for it!
This was my favourite footballer interview I've ever seen. Roy's such a down to earth footballing legend. Tells it how it is. I wish more footballers was more like him these days.
We will probably never see another player quite like him........modern football is awash with mediocre, passionless clowns that have been media trained to within an inch of their lives!
too afraid of being cancelled
What do you mean ? People like him? People who intentionally go out to injure someone and end their career? What a classy guy👍
Same, i'm so bored of the modern footballer. They're like robots, i fall asleep listening to them talk. It's like listening to politicians. I just want to hear honesty, not media- trained bullshit.
There weren’t many like him in those days either.
That's because he's Irish..

And from players begging to play for us to turning us down for not forfulling their expectations
Roy had a great career but the 1 thing that’ll always stand out for me was that Juventus game in 99. Getting beaten 2-0, he gets booked knowing he’s not going to make the final if they can somehow pull it back.
