I must sway....I like the painting in landscape with the pebbles on the left. To me, it looks like an underground look where the pebbles are, and the blue beside it is an abstract waterfall, and at last to the right is a bank of land with flowers all over it. I ❤ IT!

I love watching this composition come together.
Loved watching this video...it was sort of like watching a magician pull a rabbit out of a hat. It was pure magic watching you pull a vase of flowers from an abstract background. You also mentioned learning something new with each painting and I was reminded of an article by Julie Fei-fan Balzer. She said that every time she takes a class she imagines going in with an empty cup...sometimes she comes out with a cup full of new gems she learned, and sometimes only one gem. But, if you go in with an open mind there will always be something in the cup at the end of the class. That's how I feel about your videos...Thank you so much.

I love love love this piece.it has so many aspects rto it. At first I thought it was a waterfall. Then you flipped it over and the water became the sky over a garden. Then it became an overhead view of a succulent rock garden if you turn it vertically. It has a desert feel to me. In the end I see the vase and flowers.You could frame and hang this in any direction. For not having any mojo today this is great.

Darn, I should have finished the video before I commented LOL. I was like less than 10 minutes from the end. CeeCee, I find too that I get overwhelmed about what to paint somedays its hard to find the inspiration and especially when things are happening in life. To listen to you speak about it really made me feel that I am not alone with how I feel. Thank you for that. I really love what you did with your semi-abstract painting. It really proves that listening to your intuition really does guide you.
yes, we all have this kind of days. and everyone has a different way of dealing with them. mine is to plow through, to keep going. for others, it means taking a break. but i am comforted to know that the mojo ALWAYS comes back, eventually.

I want to thank you for such a wonderful tutorial! I just came home from a really stressful day and I had to figure out what I was going to do for a watercolor demonstration that I was presenting over the weekend. My mind was like mush and like you, I couldn’t find inspiration anywhere. Not only did you inspire what I was going to present, I completely relaxed while painting along side you and listening to that beautiful Asian music! I was entranced by the way the different colors swirled around when I was tilting the board. Thank you so much!

Great video and painting! You inspire me to continue in the direction of my own journey. I pulled out a VERY dusty 5x7 intui that I LOVE. I must have painted it a couple months ago. I have bought a few Designs by Rachel Beth's Watercolors and enjoying finding ways to use them, gradually. I got some beautiful Cafe' colors, and Cupcakes and Cocktails and a bit of a custom palette but they are pretty amazing and luxurious without overly pricey. I love the explanations for why you make the choices you do! I learn from you.

Thanks for sharing your art and this story behind it! That is SO helpful!!! Is it sometimes not better to take a break if nothing of inspiration is coming to you? Just curious to know what you think because for me it works to do something else and come back later or the next day.
thank you, Brenda. yes, a break is sometimes needed but for me the break has to be quite short. the longer i forego art, the more painful it is to get back into it.
The techniques you used with dropping paint, spritzing and tipping reminded me of a video done by a Japanese artist to create a foggy, misty scene. Wish I could remember her name.
This is really beautiful! Once again, inspirational....Thank You!🎨👍 PS: Have you ever used a straw to blow the paint? It's a fun technique I learned in 8th grade art class (circa 1964) Although that was using inks, I think it would transfer well in watercolours.👍
