Can’t wait for my Odyssey Tri Hot 5K Double Wide. Typically playa face balanced putter with a double bend shaft with White Hot insert (V-Line WHP or 2Ball Ten Rahm Edition) but love the look of the 1Wide or Double Wide head. May end up getting the Triple Wide of the Double Wide does not work out with SBST stroke but high hopes DW fits me well.
After looking at the numbers between his gamer and the new putter, he’s getting better numbers across the board with his gamer. Everything they were saying was marketing speak but the data doesn’t support what they were claiming. The toe strike caused just as much twist as his gamer. There’s already tech from other companies that helps make different strikes go the same distance, i.e. Evnroll. This was marketing and nothing else.
I noticed that as well..."With your gamer we saw .5-.6 opening on toe strikes, here we saw that considerably lower" .... literally .58 open on the screen LOL.
Super cool stuff, if a toe miss is so common with an arc stroke I wonder if the next evolution is an extremely slight concave curve to the face of the putter that points the toe strikes with an open face on line? Combine it with the fancy weighting of this model and you could get a toe strike rolling like a pure putt.
5k line seems awesome but the whitehot insert just ruins it for me, it's very hard to get the pace correct with that face in normal green speeds.. bet it's great for tour with fastest greens in the world
Something from the top down that makes it feel chunky compared to my Newport 2. Hard to nail down but it's enough that I just don't like the look straight away from over top. But I love this idea.
This is why Scotty reduced the head weight of the 2020 Special Selects and then increased the weight inserts 20 grams each to add 40 grams in the Toe and the Heel.
Odyssey produces good putters, they just always look horrendous. This new line is getting in the right direction, the bottom of these Tri Hot putters still look ugly though, like a 70's industry machine. Just make it completely black with the odyssee logo and everyone will like it man.
I think its comical that you wouldn't buy a putter based upon how it looks on the bottom....are you friggin kidding me? Look at address, feel, and technology....Who cares about the rest. If it realistically improves your putting I dont care if it looks like a friggin horse shoe.
@@MXJEFF94 Looks 100% matters..having confidence when you grab your putter out of your bag is a factor. It might not be the number 1 deciding factor, but with prices up there with cameron, evnroll, sik and TM, Odyssey is hurting sales by making tacky looking putters
@@Radioghost717 My point is I dont care what the bottom of the putter looks like. Its all about what it looks like at address and the feel. Anyways, take care.
@@MXJEFF94 Other than looks, there is no real difference in putters today. "Technology" is just marketing. It's a stick with a block on the bottom in the end. A bit more MOI doesn't change shit anymore. So I just go with the putter that looks best, both from adress and from the bottom. Grips are changable. Same with almost all clubs in golf nowadays, the only difference is looks. And the putter is btw the club "technology" matters the least.
Looks great but why are y’all so cheap to wear you can’t make a few of each model left handed I mean seriously it’s stupid, how can you say you’re the #1 putter in golf when you hardly cater to a population that’s brought out by your callaways best player in history by miles
What a great video. “Trackman” for putters! Awesome stuff. Thanks Joe and Johnny!

Wow! I remember when I had that enthusiasm for golf... fair play Bill! 👍
Loved hearing Joe Toulon talk about putters
Fascinating technology. Great stuff

I better try these putters. I use a Versa 9 white/black putter now. My miss is a toe strike very similar to Johnny's stroke. Very cool video.
Hardly the first same concept as the Cleveland frontline putters that have been out for 2 + years except 5 times the price
Amazing video as always Johnny!
Great video JW. Super informative

Absolutely, I’m sure that’s next on their list!
Great stuff!!!!
I found the “one” to be awesome, and I found it similar to the anser 2 heppler, which was 180 cad less, any thoughts?
How is your putter's MOI calculated? Is it being based on a pendulum?
How do the different hosels affect your putter alignment and swing path?
Evnroll has been doing this…
Is there a #8
Why does it have to be Re-Calibrated?
The Quintic needs a Baseline Reading of a Square, Centered Face so it can correctly measure during the Stroke and at Impact.
Sounds like an Evnroll putter to me.

Why’s that? Does it come off super soft or something?
Down hill on a extreme slope and I want to hit it off the toe on purpose, the last thing I want is the ball to come off like a center strike.
so basically a carbite putter from 30 years ago...gotcha
come on guys, it cant be all good

These things cost just as much as a Scotty? No thanks.
Seems cool but $400 😂
For the love of golf please start putting the alignment line/dot on the top line. Not in the cavity/flange.

Exactly.. I would buy a blacked out version of this… but wouldn’t buy this one it’s ugly
