I thought this would just be some hardware demo but this is actually some of the best electronic stuff I've heard in a while, absolutely killer, great work
strong work man. I have a bs2 as well and just by watching the automations you've programmed, I learned I'm not tapping into its true potential. thanks.
That tempo shift was awesome. I'm from the classical world and I just got my microbrute (1st analog synth) and I've figuring out how to make these more musical
Excellent sounds man, jeez that first track is epic! Almost Aphex twin-ish. I'd buy that 4 real as it is.....I'm really liking the sounds on this machine. The Elektron looks ace too
First, major props to MrDataline for this video and demonstrating one of the unique features of the BassStation II - it's incredibly fast patch changes. For those who did not notice, the sequencer is sending patch changes while playing notes at the same time without any hiccups. I believe this video was made before the *AFX Mode* firmware update which allows you to program unique sounds on individual notes - without sending patch change messages. There is so much value in this little mono synth.
There are most definitely 'computers' inside the Elektron boxes. They even have screens. It's just swapping one computer for another. Just because a DAW wasn't involved doesn't mean a CPU, ROM and RAM weren't involved in the making of the music. What's the difference? It's not like he's banging spoons together.
Dear Mr.Dataline, besides the fact, that I love your music this video is fantastic, because it shows exactly how cool Octatrack is. Bought it this week because of this features and can't wait to lay my fingers on it. Hope I will mastering the learning curve. I guess it's a bit more complex than using a BS2, which is a awesome synth. :-)
No matter how many times I hear it or how many times I do it myself, I just cannot get over how amazing a synth line sounds with delay. Years at this and I still geek out on it. Great work here. I've got the BSII (and a bunch of other synths) but was considering something from the elektron stable.
I was so excited to see the parameter locks triggering patch changes on the BSII, but when I went to go try it on my Octatrack it was impossible--bummer...
Awesome tracks! You know what else... the third song reminds me of the jungle level, from an 80's arcade game called Xain'D Sleena aka Solar Warrior. 👍😊
No zoom in on the display on MD :( But enough of complaints! Probably the best Elektron showcase ever! Monomachine looks really interesting now :) (i got the rest
I love you mr. Dataline! Na, just joking... But im a big fan of your examples and as a owner of a analog4 im happy to see mixed setups! The prozesses bs2 sounds amazing combined with the bs2
Awesome! So i can route the signal, from for example my arturia microbrute, through the elektron to get this amazing analog Delay and Reverb on Microbrute sound? :o
Ha! And Novation said Aphex Twin came up with the idea to use program changes for trigs in the bass station. Here’s dataline doing it five years earlier.
is there and can there be a video tutorial on how to set up analog four and with other devices that would be needed and i would greatly appreciate it cheers i like the sound
Brilliant video! I am curious about the treatment you did with the machinedrum, as it is the only one where the screen wasnt magnifyed :/ I guess you were using Input machines, but were you using the regular InputA, or the filter or envelope too? Really admire your work. Big inspiration :) And as usual, thanks so much for sharing!
He locked patch changes per sequencer step on the Monomachine. So the Bass Station is rapidly switching between completely different sounds. Not all synths can do this but most of the more recent ones can and it is even more impressive that it is a full analog synth switching that fast. The Elektron Analog Keys / Analog 4 can do this as well.
Hi mr Dataline !! I love the way you sound, but I wanna ask you a question (that is not depreciative in any way shape or form..): Do you always play music in the music intervals offered by the white keys on a keyboard? or is it a market strategy to introduce anyone (even the da poor poor skilled guy..) in the magic elektron world (that I love by the way) ?!
I’m tripping over here. I’m trying to my AFX station in time with my Model Samples. Can I get an assistant? Please? (I’ve tried a few things, searches, novation chat...) (I’ve the cables and interface also)
This is sequencing the BS2 from the OctaTrack .. can you do this with AnalogFour using the new OS 1.1 unlocked MIDI features? I've had the BS2 since last summer and just picked up an A4 off my buddy.
That first track is incredible
I thought this would just be some hardware demo but this is actually some of the best electronic stuff I've heard in a while, absolutely killer, great work
Love the sound of the Bass station through electron effects. Great creation.
I'm not even kidding some of the best music I've ever heard. Might sound false but those melodies are pure magic
1:44 Wow, how that just comes in is sick, and the progressively added chorus and delay is perfect.
Always quality tracks and professional mangling of the Elektron machines like no other. Thank you, man
Have just purchased a BS2 which will join my family of Roland synths. This session is giving me the inspiration I need to get going. Thank you.
love what you did with the Bass Station program changes triggered from the Monomachine. I'm surprised how smooth it works! Great tracks, all of them!
Lovely! Really great set! Flows super well, great textures, great melodies!
Amazing!!

Nice fast patch switching with the mono machine!
One of the best Elektron demos I've yet seen.
Excellent sounds man, jeez that first track is epic! Almost Aphex twin-ish. I'd buy that 4 real as it is.....I'm really liking the sounds on this machine. The Elektron looks ace too
Genius Dataline!!! there is so much to learn from you
Had to comment on how F**kin incredible and eye opening that monomachine jam was!
Still come back to listen to that first track.

Very nice...I like your Song...and your Title..
this is incredible. it's so great to hear synths like this played musically
Nice, Crisp fast bass kicks on that second track, liking this! Thank you for uploading!
This is real modern analog tweaking and sampling and the best of all... No computers involved. Kudos for this amazing performance. :-)
There are most definitely 'computers' inside the Elektron boxes. They even have screens. It's just swapping one computer for another. very cool , very warm and interesting sounds
woah dude! that monomashine jam was mint!
I was thinkin about mini/microbrute or MS20mini but after first part of this track im almost sure about BS2. Thanks.
Two brilliant machines, but nothing without the operator!
it is in the hands of the artist- an Octatrack can be a one piece symphony in the hands of a master
Dear Mr.Dataline, besides the fact, that I love your music this video is fantastic, because it shows exactly how cool Octatrack is. Enjoying this a lot! Great soundscapes! Favourite part so far: Preset madness on the bass station with the Machinedrum!!
No matter how many times I hear it or how many times I do it myself, I just cannot get over how amazing a synth line sounds with delay. Years at this and I still geek out on it.
Great work here. I've got the BSII (and a bunch of other synths) but was considering something from the elektron stable.
+Matt Greer A year later and I now own 3 Elektron boxes. Happy with my decision.
+Matt Greer so i would be better of with elektron vs tr 8??? Also want to get bass station II
Dragan Delic Yes, I think so.
that is why I love the delay on the Elektron boxes it is quite good
The second that delay hits the pluck in the intro you just sink in. It's wonderful.
Some Depeche Mode action on the first cut. Tops!!!
The first track sounds like something out of Tron!! Great job man
Cenk, clever use of Scene A as a momentary switch for scenes - no fader movements required! teşekkür
Sono 4 pezzi molto efficaci!! Complimenti
Just fantastic!
excellent music mate. the step cc bit is awesome.
Love the third song "Cold Wave." I jam it all the time!
Have no words... Simply awesome!
mate, the first track is mindblowing! awsesome skills
wow super nice tracks!
has some of that autechre feel in it.
keep up the excellent work
Nice sequencing and a cool beat.
I was so excited to see the parameter locks triggering patch changes on the BSII, but when I went to go try it on my Octatrack it was impossible--bummer...
Amazing, Data! Thats all great, but love the performance with the OT!
Awesome tracks!
You know what else... the third
song reminds me of the jungle level, from an 80's arcade game called Xain'D Sleena aka Solar Warrior.
👍😊
No zoom in on the display on MD :( But enough of complaints! Probably the best Elektron showcase ever! Monomachine looks really interesting now :) (i got the rest
Love this.
You've fucking smashed it mate, that first tune is a banger!! Very nice!!
Smartest People make the Smartest Machines - Thank you . All my old stuff is going on eeeeeeeeeBay ! Nice Work !
gorgeous pitch!
wow! so good!!! monomachine song is incredible !!
never mind the machines you got some grooves. will listen to the other stuff
Good work, Cenk! I have learned a lot!!!!
sweet session!
This is AWESOME 😮🎉
awesome.....im ...........speekless. nice performance and nice knobbing
nice setup + cool stuff!!!
I love you mr. Dataline! Na, just joking... But im a big fan of your examples and as a owner of a analog4 im happy to see mixed setups! The prozesses bs2 sounds amazing combined with the bs2
Fun performance
musically this is a great video, exactly how it should be done, machines and no computers!
Very nice live and nice sounds 5*
Very nice!
I'm going to name my first born , Cenk! Boy or girl..!! Amazing and inspiring!!
Hi Cenk, I wished the Octatrack can change/lock MIDI Programme Changes per step, like the Monomachine. That would be fab. :)
Case Woo Im pretty sure it can do parameter locks per step
Case Woo the Digitakt can!
Awesome!
So i can route the signal, from for example my arturia microbrute, through the elektron to get this amazing analog Delay and Reverb on Microbrute sound? :o
Wonderful
So good
Man, this is just crazy
This is great!
the second jam is awesome.
good music stays good over time, that how you know it's good, also, you can make good music with (now) old gear
Ha! And Novation said Aphex Twin came up with the idea to use program changes for trigs in the bass station. Here’s dataline doing it five years earlier.
Amazing.
Impressive realtime sound mixing
is there and can there be a video tutorial on how to set up analog four and with other devices that would be needed and i would greatly appreciate it cheers i like the sound
This is so phaaaat! Great work
Uhhhhhhhhhh what a nice track !!!
Brilliant video! I really like this jam! Hey, how are you able to record the elektron display like that?
Can you seq program changes from the Elektron stuff ? Never mind 9:20 answed that question lol.
depends on the specific elektron :)
never wanted a monomachine until i saw this
Those program changes are FAST.
You navigate thru your boxes like a wizard.
Great stuff. Thx
Amazing
finally someone shows how to use it musically
What's happening at about 12:00 with all the blinken lights on the bass station?
He locked patch changes per sequencer step on the Monomachine. So the Bass Station is rapidly switching between completely different sounds. Not all synths can do this but most of the more recent ones can and it is even more impressive that it is a full analog synth switching that fast. The Elektron Analog Keys / Analog 4 can do this as well.
zerix01 So is the Monomachine the only elektron gear that can do MIDI sequencing? The Analog range cannot do that, right?
Hi mr Dataline !! I love the way you sound, but I wanna ask you a question (that is not depreciative in any way shape or form..):
Do you always play music in the music intervals offered by the white keys on a keyboard? or is it a market strategy to introduce anyone (even the da poor poor skilled guy..) in the magic elektron world (that I love by the way) ?!

Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!
nice

Is that snare from the MD a sample or internal machine? Sounds great
The bass station 2 and the sidstation are the two I want
Awesome dude :)
So the arp sound is coming from the BS2 sequenced by the Elektron, but what about the bass?
I really want that bass beast! ^^
Inspiring stuff
I love it!
awesome
