- The second of our Final Edition Lotus Elise Cup 250s is finally here!
We take an in depth look around Jon's Heritage Racing Green Elise to discuss spec choices and compare the Cup 250 FE with his previous Lotus, the 220 Cup.

Another super video lads! Moody location selection providing a 'richly textured' urban contrast to the 'smoothly polished' paintwork of the Lotus cars. Always liked Vivid Green - it’s a splendid colour so I expected Rob's car to be spectacular - and it is! But hugely surprised by the Heritage Green with Black pack which exceeds all expectations Jon. Inspired selection. How lucky are we to drive these magnificent cars? What a privilege! Health to enjoy and see you soon. 🙂
Thanks Joe! Looking forward to getting out for a drive together soon 🤞
Thanks Gents. Superb little vid & epic cars indeed. Enjoy. Look forward to more content!
Thanks Drew, much appreciated 👍
Great video!
Numberplate TIIIFNL: my 1st thought.... Tiff Needell! 😆 thx for clearing that up
Haha, Jon’s obviously a Tiff super fan!
So great to see your Green Cups gathered at last, a vlog is so better than Instagram😉. I am happy to hear you saying that the exhaust notes sound better & more than the previous versions. For me it's the best surprise, with the gearbox (short shifting). The Elise Final Edition doesn't need another exhaust in my opinion. I am very curious to know the technical reason.
I can' t wait to see your next vlog.
@OrangeLotusEliseFE🧡😁😉🇫🇷🇬🇧
Thanks Michael! Great to hear you’re enjoying your Final Edition 👍
Great video gents. Didn't realise there were so many small differences between the Cup 220 & 250.
Looking forward to seeing what the cars look like when the weather improves for you 😄.
Thanks Tony, hopefully won’t be long now!
Both stunning, fingers crossed for an early spring.
Thanks Mark… it can’t come soon enough!
They look brilliant. Nice video
Thanks Charlie - appreciate it! 👍
I love your cars guys 😍 Thank you for the video! I’m looking for an Elise 220 or 250 at the moment .. or Exige .. best regards from Vienna/Austria
Thank you! Good luck with the search… we’ll be driving through Austria on Wednesday 😎
Interesting this. Comments at 12 min mark ish are interesting - as the owner of a 2002 S2 i am interested in how much the build quality was improved into the later cars and S3s, they certainly appear better screwed together in photos - and the dah plastics seem much closer to that of a mass-produced car. Nice one!
Thanks for watching! My previous car was also a 2002 S2 Elise and there is without doubt a step up in quality. Obviously there’s the effect of time and wear on a 20 year old car to take into account, but it feels like a lot of incremental improvements have been made over time. The gearbox is night and day compared to the old k series ‘box!
Beautiful cars! I have hopes in owning a S3 one day, maybe not a Cup 250 once values go up but I'll happily settle for a 1ZR CR. Great video!
Thank you, and excellent choice! Love the club racer 👍
1.6 (CR or not) is very funny!!🎉
Great view lads, really enjoyed it. Where did you source the harness bar from please and can you keep the inertias?. Good to see someone appreciating the heritage green on you tube.
Thanks Jon, that’s much appreciated! It’s quite a deep green that really stands out well. The harness bar was dealer supplied and fitted. The original inertia belts are still installed, although may remove them in the future if it turns out they don’t get used much.
Love the heritage green - would be the colour I'd go for if I could have afforded to buy a new one. Ended up with a beautiful Sport 220 in blue instead.
Thanks 👍 Which blue did you go for? Hope you’re enjoying the car!
@@OneElevenCars it's simply described as Elise Blue - nothing fancy. Complete with black pack and black wheels it looks the part.
Curious how you have attached the short front number plates?
The standard plate holder is a lot wider, trying to figure out the best way of doing. Any help appreciated!
We removed the standard plate holder and made two simple aluminium brackets which fixed into the existing holes. The plate was then stuck onto the aluminium brackets with tape - hope that helps!
Those old lotus models are going to be worth a small fortune in the future, truly gutted I am never likely to own an exige now. F**k.
Sincerely hope so 😜 I’m sure you’ll own an Exige one day Nick… just fire up the man maths calculator
@@OneElevenCars lol. Got to build a business after moving to France first mate, then do up the house! But yeah.... hopefully I'll get there, amazing cars and I have been fortunate enough to drive one! Great channel & subscribed!
Best of luck with it all Nick! You’ll get there! Thanks for the subscribe 👍
I prefer the Vivid green and silver wheels. HRG looks dull.
Ouch. I won’t tell Jon you said that… appreciate the love for vivid green though! The HRG looks great in real life - don’t think the camera quite does it justice somehow
@@OneElevenCars ha ha. I just think darker coloured Elise / Exige look much better with silver wheels. Very good investments the way prices are going.
Let’s hope so!
Managed 1st 2 minutes, but got bored with the girls discussing the colours
Thanks John. Out of interest, which was your favourite colour? And your favourite girl? 😉
Great video!
Thank you! 🙏
