Great video and a great channel! I’m proud owner of a 2017 mark 1 CUP250 here in the Netherlands in military grey. With some 3500 Miles on the clock i’m starting to know the car a little better and it’s an absolute joy to drive on b-roads, especially in Germany.
Right now I'm saving up for my first Lotus. I probably need another year or two, but I can't wait to buy an Elise. It has been my dream car since I first saw one in 2002!
@@tomatodamashi i love the emira looks and quality (apparently) but you will loose that special light nimble handling since the emira is almost twice the weight of an elise cup
I saw this in the window driving past this morning, the JPS livery made me do a double-take. Always brings up memories of Ayrton Senna. They have one that looks a bit like a Rothmans Williams, if only I had the money.... Nice to see you on a road near me, it's a great road for having a blast even in something as modest as my old Focus.
Sir you just got yourself a subscriber. American here living in the UK, and Lotus has been my dream car ever since I saw my first one back in 1994 (S4S model Esprit), and its a life-long dream/goal of mine to own one. Now that I'm here in the UK, I plan to visit the factory and maybe one day be able to test drive one.
Heck yeah, one of the first things I plan to do this summer. If you're ever about in Cambridgeshire (I live there) doing an event or something, let us know!
Amazing video! I so wish that the Cup 250 had been available in the states -- ah well, if any still exist in 25 years I will try to import one. Amazing vid Jay Em!
You always get a thumbs up from me, when I watch your videos. But I was mentally pushing the thumbs up twice for not having the commercial half way :-)
Just got my 1st gen Cup 250 in Kawasaki Green. Sooo happy with it. Thanks for the advice Jay! Now for the hard wait until spring when I can take the top off and really enjoy it!
I'm so greatly appreciative of your videos Jay. I've watched most of them and many multiple times. You are one of the reasons I bought an 18 Cup 250. I'm so happy I did and again so grateful you're videos helped me make the right decision. Keep up the good work 👍
You'll have to ask them for a referral fee 😂👌 seriously though as a consumer I appreciate your honesty and you do a great job of flying the Lotus flag.
Haha Lotus don't even respond to my emails, but if you let your dealer know I was helpful maybe one day they will! Simply have a great reputation over in Oz it seems
JayEmm on Cars hahaha I'm surprised they don't answer your emails. Yes Simply are good and considering the next closest dealer would be around 10,000kms away they really don't have to be.
Wow, wow, wow! What a car. That is by far the best car you’ve had on your channel bar none. It’s stunning in those JPS colours and sounds wonderful for a 4 pot. That's one special car. That being said, I don't understand why they use CF for front and rear aero bits when those are essentially disposable on a track car.
On the Evora 400 and track days - I did a Lotus on Track day at Silverstone on the GP circuit in April and there were a number of Evora 400 and Sport 410's running on the day, along with a McLaren 720S.
There was no static test on the day, dunno if they were running a drive by check. None of them seemed to be pushing that hard though (I even passed a couple in my S1 Elise) but there was an early NA Evora that was absolutely flying round, along with a couple fast Exige V6s. Published limit for the day was 105db static & 102db drive by
