A word of warning. Driving a lotus will ruin you're experience of every other car out there. Nothing will give you the raw feel it does. The steering is on another level compared to anything bar a race car.
111R owner here .Will only sell when I cannot physically get in or out of the thing.Great cars.Hope they are not going all electric like the majority of manufacturers ,seem to have an agenda unfortunately.

Opinion on the open diff setup? I did one trackday in my Exige S2 and immediately ordered a Quaife because I really didn’t like the (un)predictable wet handling and the dry drifting was a bit dissapointing spinning the inside wheel.
The Exige track footage looks like a scene out of an action movie.

I want an Elise so bad.... have done for a long time
I had an Elise, if you have the money go for the exige v6, trust me. Both are great but I never realy got the reactions people get when driving with in the v6 exige, it's a different beast, the sound alone is just so much better and it's a much more serious machine.

the Elise s3 240 FE i drove was absolutely lovely in terms of handling and precision/ feedback of the controls. I was abit disappointed with the top end performance of the engine as it didnt really pull harder over 6000RPM but it had only had 1100 miles on it.
The Exige S3 sound and look fantastics but the major drawback is they here hindered on weak performance , they dont seem to perform on 100-200 - much slower then similarly powered sports cars with much more weight, and the engine is too high which gives a raised COG.
well sorted S2 Exige is always faster on track.
Having just come out of an Elise Sport 220 and into an Exige 390 FE.. there are two wins for the Elise.. the gearbox shift action is nicer and it feels more sophisticated on the road.. more delicate, an around nicer feel. It's difficult to explain how good it feels, but to me it felt better than my Caterham 420S.. The exige still wins for me on the strength of its grip levels, noise, performance, looks. However, I'm actually contemplating buying another Elise to have alongside.. great review!!
