- Apple Vision Pro is About To Affect The Entire Tech industry
The battle between Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3 is about to take over the VR market. Apple's release date is next week and it's price and specs are both insane! Even if you're not in the market for an Apple Vision Pro and never plan on getting one, we are at the cusp of a major shift in consumer electronics and how consumers interact with tech on a daily basis.

I am driving 75 miles each way (total of 3 hours drive) to get my Apple Vision Pro on the day of release, Feb 2. Check back on my channel then because I'll have lots of videos coming up shortly after!
Why not live stream it! 😊
@@drecostigma5885omg imagine me live streaming my drive 😂 I’ll consider this! But I’m definitely filming me going
Looking forward to your review & thoughts!
Wow. I pre-ordered mine and supposed to be delivered on the 2nd. Hefty price tag but can’t wait to try it out! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks a lot ❤
This is spot on point. Love your example of the Mobile phone. It's literally maxed out technology
We want more immersive technology! Like the bendable monitors or transparent tvs at CES
@@VRwithJasmineor a holographic wrist phone :-)
When she mentioned that, I thought about bringing eye tracking and maybe face/hand gestures to our phones.
Great observations! Also remember with the Meta headsets, 3rd parties quickly developed ways to make it more comfortable and even last longer, both for comfort and battery life. I'm sure the same will happen with the Apple Vision Pro.
I’ve had a ton of companies already tell me they’re working on AVP accessories. I think the issue is that for $3500+, you’d expect to get everything out of the box without needing to buy additional accessories
@@VRwithJasminetrue but Apple doesn’t even give you the wall chargers anymore when you buy a phone.
You nailed it! Great job. I live in the Apple echo system so I’m excited however I never buy the new shiny toy from them. I wait until I’m forced to upgrade. I won’t be getting the AVP because it’s too expensive. Maybe when the 3rd gen comes out I’ll try it. Until then, I’ll live vicariously through you! 😉
Hopefully gen 3 won’t cost as much as a used car
@@VRwithJasmine yes!
Couldn’t agree more. The bringing of practical utility can’t be overstated.
I can see the AVP being the first XR headset good enough to enable proxy training for on the job learning experience. Especially for the different type of field technicians in any industry.
That said, there’s no world where I’m getting a $3500 headset. Maybe the Gen 2 or Gen 3 AVP, but that’s assuming the cost comes down a lot. A thousand dollars I might be able to justify.
At this price, Apple will never be able to dominate the market. Meta Quest is the best situated company to take over mass adoption
great video! subscribed!
I'm thinking my Quest 3 linked to my PC with Virtual Destop is pretty damn good. Apple has more cameras in the Vision Pro, and eye tracking, but as soon as Meta throws eye tracking and full body tracking into a headset the race is on for the best overall experience.
It’s nice that there will be alternatives like Immersed Visor and also cross-platform.
I agree there’s space for both I’m looking at VR glasses now but already have Meta Quest 3 so they just need a price drop to 200 than I’ll buy because they make perfect sense for me especially cause I’m taking wifi out of my home and will plug my phone into the glass and use that as my tv now.
nice vid! subbed. u stoked for the metaverse? been to vrchat raves yet? im hella stoked. trying to perform music and vj in the metaverse eventually. (SO MUCH STUDYING LOL) im STOKED!
I went to VRChat raves more during the pandemic! Along with going to VRChat karaoke. I’m a little older now and don’t have as much partying energy 😭 You use TribeXR?
I have it ordered getting it soon!
As a gamer The Apple Vision Pro is most likely not for me. But, if the VR industry do see an uptick of non gamer purchases of VR like devices then it would behoove the industry as a whole to make their product more everyday life friendly with a bit of gaming coaxing to grab people who would never think about VR gaming to become a new VR gamer, thus bring in a new inflow of consumers that could shift the dynamic of VR being a niche to a possibility more mainstream. The Apple Vision Pro or maybe a future iteration of it either by Apple themselves or another company could help VR to grow in ways never seen before.
AVP is NOT for gamers! Although there’ll be a lot of casual gaming imo like Apple Arcade… which will lead to more cozy games and I love cozy games 🥰
Such a great video! I think the Apple Vision Pro will do wonders, I was never really interested in VR headsets before, because I am no gamer. Yet, here I am, looking into Apple Vision Pro videos fascinated.
VR/AR in my personal experience is VERY intuitive because I handed my quest 2 to my mom and she loved it! She isn’t a gamer and is very basic when it comes to tech and she’s obsessed with my headset lol
Its not gonna replace these things and I don't think it will fade away... I believe it will simply be an addition to your computing experience all these devices serve different purposes that assist in different ways for different situations that is what makes them usable and good
The words you never said, but which are the essence of Vision Pro, are “Spacial Computing”. Forget gaming and multi-dimensional video. They come with cheaper XR solutions. Now, I don’t need to travel with a laptop and multiple LCD monitors. I can leave my computing desk environment in my home office. BUT, now I can have larger screens and more of them, and work from any room in the house. I can travel on trains, planes and automobiles and bring my “Spacial Computing” environment with me. Obliviously, if you only use a laptop or desktop with its built in screen, don’t bother to pay for the added expense of “Spacial Computing”! Get a cheaper, much less functional, gamer version of an XR device.
I think one possible application of VR is in forensics. Imagine being an investigator and use the VR headset to go back to the crime scene unlimited times.
This is a wild use case but I can see it! I think Apple or whoever needs to create a camera you can strap to your forehead so you can look around with your normal eyes while there and re-experience later with AVP
100% agreed 💯 apple has a way with marketing well and the fact that they are getting into VR should make waves across the board. 🍻 Looking forward to what they bring in the future
Not paying 3000 for something i cant also game on though, the price is ridiculous
Some people saying they got a headache from using it 20 minutes, so both headstraps are certainly a fail because flexible bands don't work. But have fun with it and if the headstrap of the Quest 3 works for you, the AVP will be fine.
The resolution and displays of the current mobile headsets are fine for (casual) gaming, but for other use cases it is not enough (working, MR in general, watching movies). This will be a whole new story with AVP. But the price.. as you told, you will probably also need to buy an iPhone to get the full potential of AVP. This will hurt.
Will be interesting to see non-enthusiasts get introduced into XR. Any new product and new company entering the market is a win for consumer. TBH I'm excited for AR glasses in the future. CES had some nice examples of the innovation.
I use the quest 3 for reels and AR mode at same time 🤣
I really hope Valve gets these panels for the deckard. They had a revolving door with employees between them and Apple while this was being developed so I hope Valve gets something for lending their employees and training the people that worked on this headset. This is the only reason I haven't gotten one, would rather pay $3k for a Valve headset.
Why did you need the iPhone 15 in preparation for the Vision Pro?
To order the headset
how do you feel about them putting the m2 chip inside vs the m3 ?
For $3500+, I feel exactly how you think I’d feel -> 😠🤬😭
also i read they are having shipping delays on the 256gb and 1tb. i was wondering if this effecting your order? @@VRwithJasmine
I’m so excited!
Good video. Proud of you
Yeah that Pro Lite's gonna come real quick, and them $3500-$4000 people are gonna be pissed.😂
Honestly… this is possible. We saw it with Quest Pro
@VRwithJasmine all i know, is i can't wait to get off work and get home to play Demeter! 😄
Imagine Google maps Street view in Apple Vision Pro. That would be sick.
I doubt it! It’s too expensive for us and no one wanna put something on the head all day
Unfortunately not only everyday people make clueless comments, "tech" youtubers invited to check Apple's VR headset swear by it like it was magical, made by elves, perfect. Very few were willing to give a real first impression with all the pros and cons. ORBIT has a great preview of it, he said you could see the pixels and that the passthrough is not "like real life".
You knocked this one out the park…
Ty 🫶
Others have said it’s not heavy at all. Can’t wait for February 2
Oculus meta has already done it, credit should go to them, not a newcomer who's doing nothing new.
It's like giving credit to Android after iPhone came out first.
..... I think it'll be held back by people who just can't afford or aren't interested in it.
The smartphone will continue to be the main piece of tech.... and that's stagent too
I’m so tired of dropping my phone on my face. I need AR glasses!
This is going to be a cleaner introduction by apple but I'm sure the M2 chip was too weak, but I think they knew that it was for enthusiasts, but for 3,500 and 2hr battery life. Id expect a max chip or a m3 chip at least, idk
They'll just do a revised version in a year or whatever upgraded with M3 obviously for 4500. Never fails.
It doesn't matter what chip is inside the headset. The more advanced the graphics the more power you're going to use. Its battery life and heat dissipation that's limiting these mobile headsets not a shortage of powerful chips. The advanced Nvidia cards are mainly made up of heatsinks and fans.
The quest 3 is doing decently with graphics fidelity and has a great cooling system. The AVP has the battery externally which means it could not only be upgraded to higher capacity, but be pushed harder while remaining cooler.
Once solid state batteries go mainstream, power issues could easily be resolved. Once further optimization (hardware and software) comes to these mobile chips we'll see higher fidelity and more efficient devices. It's just going to take time.
If they can put an RTX 3080 in a laptop, granted the performance would be more like a 3070, they can eventually get mobile chip frighteningly efficient.
Technology is not at a point where Apple glasses with augmented reality can exist the way Apple wants it. That’s what the Vision Pro is for. To pave the way for Apple glasses in a more powerful form factor.
I don't know if other people feel like me, but the better tech gets, the less i want to use it. It's just ridiculous how fast we are evolving our technology. I can't keep up with this break neck speed. I couldn't be less interested in augmented reality.
3:04 That's the crazy part... people who never used VR but would because of Apple, think that they do something totally new. We enthousiasts are doing the same already for many years. Just last week I was enjoying a comedy in my headset and the host spoke to the people watching the show in VR. It was very nice, as if you were really there...
Could not disagree more. Look at the numbers of vision pro that are getting released .. a few hundred thousand per year .. now look at the Vision Pro price. It’s going to be the 3rd, 4th gen and lower price. Not this one. I will def get this one .. but I’m a lunatic for this kind of tech.
She said the most common tech is a Smart Phone😅 kids these days.
theres a reason they didnt make more so not every person is broke right away in america
I'm hoping the AVP will help normalize VR headsets on planes. I want to use VR (I have a Quest Pro) on a flight so badly, but I don't want to be, "that guy".
Being "that guy" will start normalizing it on planes. We already wear headphones.
The only reason that I can see this not selling is really bad timing. Releasing this headset at that price point in a tanked economy is either very bold or not very smart. But it's like you said. They really can market. So maybe, they're just releasing the pre-ordered units first to test the market?
People have money to buy this thing and guess what, it's already sold out.
The Mac in 1984 gave us look and use your hand to point. The iPhone gave us look and touch. The AVP is just look.
Nervegear is coming
We need AR only wrist phone 😆 upload
Imagine! Holographic wrist phone would be elite
I really want apple vision pro to be a success. This is the first generation but if it succeeds then we about to experience a new technological shift
It's not going to fail even if it does fail.
APPLE WILL NOT BE MADE TO LOOK OUT OF TOUCH, WHILE META CONTINUES THEIR ENDLESS EFFORTS ON THE METAVERSE, AI, AND QUEST HEADSETS. APPLE LITERALLY CANT AFFORD TO STOP.
Another awesome video. Although I dont' plan to spend that kind of money for it, the future of the tech does intrigue me. I completely agree with you that phones are played out. They're about as packed full of function as we're going to get but I don't think this is the route. I guess time will tell. Was disheartening to hear that apps line your tube, Netflix, and Prime won't have apps that work on it though. (Rob)
Apple Vision Pro is literally AR/VP what you talking about 💀 you wear saying “either we go AR or Vision Pro” but Vision Pro is AR
They'll not. Apple Pro is not gaming VR target and will never been with such price and lack of huge competability with PCVR / STEAMVR
I think it'll be mainstream by the 3rd version
APV is AR and VR....
Revoluctionary and it will change the computing industry forever
It needs to be lighter, more affordable and longer battery life for the masses to jump on board. I think we are going to see a lot of orders being returned in the next few weeks
Returns are likely, but what really matters are how many are kept. Devices kept means people are developing and providing feedback for the product, which is crucial.
if everyone that makes minimum wage buys this, a lot of businesses wouldn't have customers for a month. We're the ones that make these rich people richer by being their 'customers'
Apple Pro has affected VR just maybe 1% xD
You cannot game on Apple Pro and it's probably for porn only. So, PSVR 2 did the best job though at this point, if we make a comparasing.
Most use tech, iPad
I think y'all dreaming. VR/AR or spatial computing is so very far from mass adoption. In fact it may peak soon and crash
10 years isn't a long time. Meta forced big tech to follow suit, by threatening to never stop building the metaverse and quest devices. Multiple companies are working towards these devices now, to ensure they get a piece of the market.
I think it is interesting but not $3,500 USD interesting, that is just too much.
You need to get a samsung for the best features known to man.
Phone? I was a Samsung person for agesssssss but then I bought into the apple ecosystem and when you have a bunch of apple products, they really do work like magic. But by themselves, there’s definitely better options!
definitely! people underestimate apple, every new tech they've released literally changed that industry it's proven. by the end of this decade this type of tech will dominate, only 6 years lml.
This is overhyped. It is not nearly light enough to be used for any amount of time and the fov is no better than a quest 3. You are still looking through a porthole.
Quest proved there was a large market for this tech. Apple can't hold off for further device refinement anymore, not with Metas standalone devices having a 6 year head start at this point. It's all about consumer feedback and developers building software for the AVP now. The next few iterations of Apple Vision will be the ones actually worth owning
The view master is better!
The view master is iconic
I love your face.
You can tell people that a penny is the most valuable thing if you market the hell out of it especially with influencers and big brand backing. Most humans are sheep. There are so many things in history that were considered outrages until it became trendy enough and finally accepted.
Can you give an example of something you accepted because it was marketed to you?
@kevinbailey8827 When I was younger, 90 percent of things were changed. As an older person now, I care about brand support, value proposition, and usefulness quantity over time based on value most of all.
@@jaysoegaard And that's an example of how marketing made you accept something you otherwise wouldn't?
Marketing doesn't seem so bad then.
@kevinbailey8827 I'm not saying marketing is crap , I'm saying you can tell people that something is great even if it's crap and they will accept it if the marketing campaign is executed effectively. People can easily be brainwashed with proper long-term marketing strategies.
Marketing is sometimes nothing more than an art form geared to trick most individuals into believing more positively or negatively about things on the marketing planners' agenda.
@@jaysoegaard I'm messing with you a little because I often hear people say that people are sheep, but they tend to think that they themselves are not sheep.
Give me an example of how you've been tricked.
You compare the Vision Pro with airpods when it comes to the acceptance of looks?
Seriously? You believe tiny earbuds are comparable to a large headset that covers half your face? The airpods were a matter of taste. The Vision Pro is more like "take that darn thing off when talking to me because I can't see you!" And no, Eye Sight won't make up for that because it's hardly visible and looks creepy.
Trust me, I don’t think anyone will be walking around in these in public. You’d get robbed point blank. I think these are more for personal time or while working, not all day everyday and especially not when socializing
@@VRwithJasmine also 2 hours only 🤣
In 30 so many people will need glasses poor eyesight
Didnt affect my eyesight any VR yeyt
My eyesight has gotten worse but I can’t tell if its just from age. Found out I had astigmatism in my late 20s after I already got into VR. But my vision is only marginally worse and for the amount of VR I do, the result is not yet statistically significant 🤔 This is something I worry about though
Dam she pretty 😍 my bad
You’re face looks a little to wide for Apple vision
It is an IPad Pro on your Face! Looks like some Ski Goggles 🥽 😊
It’s photoshopped cause I dont have one yet 😭
@@VRwithJasmine it’s okay, you have a Quest 3 right…? Cheer up! The Quest 3 is so much better. It can do everything the Apple can’t do. 😉👌
