Second that. I've seen automobile magazines have 'long-term' reviews that talk about failures of components, how the manufacturer handled the repair etc., after using it for a while, supplementing their actual 'road-test' because there's only so much you could say from driving a car for just a few days. Likewise, would like to see long-term and ownership-experience focussed reviews which, say, talks about charging / battery drain issues, how a brand makes processing warranty easy or hard (go undercover, absolutely don't reveal it's either of you) - that way user get a 360° view of the device ownership (or at least the brand) to make better decisions. I want more videos of these two amazing men together. These two cares so much about quality and presentation that it’s almost like they were born to be directors. No scratch that, they were born to replace James Cameron. These two are what James Cameron is legendary for. From camera angles, to how long the camera stays on the single shot, to how the camera moves, to what’s in focus, and what’s not , to the sounds, we hear throughout the video, and how loud or quiet they are, my God, these two think about everything. As a lawyer, I can tell you: Y’all need an attorney to constantly update your license agreements and promotion contracts so as to account for such tactics from the companies. These agreements need to be robust and exhaustive to accommodate for any foreseeable contingency, and this would be accomplished through language that is clear and conspicuous. There is some boilerplate language often used in such agreements and plenty of people will just cut and paste it from a template found online or some other readily available source. To be honest, I’ll let you in on a secret: we attorneys do the exact same thing and charge exorbitant fees to do so. However, the price we charge is not for that protocol, as some may think. If it were, it would be prudent to just use a template and modify it themselves and cut out the attorney all together. No. What justifies our rates is the modifications we are trained to make accounting for contingencies mentioned above. Our ability to do that and protect your interests is a nuance that can make all the difference in the world. For example, the “out of context” element of which you spoke could be readily addressed with a right of refusal clause stating basically that any desire to use language, video, audio both presently in existence or in a format yet to be invented in the future in whole or in part must first be approved in its final form by the licensor. That way, any violation thereof would result in a monetary remedy payable to the licensor and an immediate injunction. Then there is the aspect of avoiding arbitration clauses, blah blah blah. So yeah, get a lawyer and make sure that aspect of nuanced modifications to the framework of the form agreement is afforded the full weight of their attention. The slightest bit can make all the difference.
dont u think their revenue is gona fall after this... i mean at the end these companies supported them to make that much money. now they could cancel them
"any desire to use language, video, audio both presently in existence or in a format yet to be invented in the future in whole or in part must first be approved in its final form by the licensor." Such a long runon sentence that could be more easily understood by simply saying, "must obtain approval from the author to use this content in any form." Why is it so complicated writing all that stuff. It's like it was never meant to be read.
@@TheJnkh beleive it or not. These companies made a lot of money through their youtube channels. Basically, it is a free advertisement for them if they impose double embargos. Which they did.
@@austinspain4296 “this content” doesn’t clearly address future content nor variations thereof. “Any form” is too broad. Taken literally, “any form” would prevent your own use of social media altogether on one end of the spectrum. By its very nature, social media uses everyone’s content to generate revenue. Language must be carefully tailored. There are consequences to language containing terms differentiated between common use versus legal use. The attorney you’ve criticized provided you with a correct example of that. -Contract Attorney

The cynic in me believes that even "tell-all" videos like this can work in favour of big tech companies: we now see these two reviewers as more trustworthy because of their candour, hence we're more likely to trust any subsequent reviews from them. Take everything with a healthy pinch of salt
Interesting thoughts, I was thinking the same thing
Yep even though they're dancing the same tune. It's like "it's all a scam and we're on it... but we told you about it so tough... now click our affiliate links!"

From camera angles, to how long the camera stays on the single shot, to how the camera moves, to what’s in focus, and what’s not , to the sounds, we hear throughout the video, and how loud or quiet they are, my God, these two think about everything. The background of their rooms where they record, the lighting, there is nobody on UA-cam, more artistic in a presentation than these two men in this video. if I was wearing my hat, I would tip a hat to them. As a lawyer, I can tell you:
Y’all need an attorney to constantly update your license agreements and promotion contracts so as to account for such tactics from the companies.
The slightest bit can make all the difference.
dont u think their revenue is gona fall after this... i mean at the end these companies supported them to make that much money. now they could cancel them
"any desire to use language, video, audio both presently in existence or in a format yet to be invented in the future in whole or in part must first be approved in its final form by the licensor."
Such a long runon sentence that could be more easily understood by simply saying, "must obtain approval from the author to use this content in any form." Why is it so complicated writing all that stuff. It's like it was never meant to be read.
@@TheJnkh beleive it or not. These companies made a lot of money through their youtube channels. Basically, it is a free advertisement for them if they impose double embargos. Which they did.
@@austinspain4296 might as well write Don't quote me boy cuz i ain't sayin shit on the Legal Form (emphasis on Legal)
