3D Blu-ray definitely glad the IMAX shots are on the 3D Disc & the Frame Break sequences, despite losing sound with no height channels being a DTS 7.1 mix I’ll still go for the 3D Blu-ray any day

So glad to see you reviewed this one in 3D! It certainly was a winner! One of the best 3D Marvel movies to import from Japan! The IMAX scenes and frame breaking effects were top notch! Really wish 3DTVs and domestic releases 3D blu-rays would make a comeback!

Extremely happy to see you reviewing these. I had this preordered and received it on release day! I honestly love this movie, best comic book movie ever made and best recent MCU 3D Blu ray, only Shang chi comes close. The 3D isn't as strong as volume 2, which is by far the deepest reaching 3D of the trilogy, it's damn fantastic. I also really loved the sound mix on this!! The way "in the meantime" by spacehog was mixed in with that amazing treble response and airiness audible on the vocals cutting through sounds so cool! James Gunn knows his stuff. Glad to see he cares about the 3D aswell as the sound much more than other directors do. Fantastic release.
I bought the Japan 3D/4K and I love it in 3D. The moments when they break the black bars with objects was fantastic.

If you precisely measure the expanded scenes in the 4K bluray, it is actually 1.90:1 instead of 1.85:1
Obviously muxing the Atmos onto the 3D video is the best way to go. Shane says that if the bass is increased +6dB then it hits hard but doesn't go very low. But this is why we have BEQ. With BEQ the bass will hit hard and go low.
Solid review I concur. It's solid on 4k I cant commit on the the atmos my audio, down converts to dolbytrue HD. But it's sounds great I don't miss what haven't experienced yet. Haven't been to a movie theater since 2016.

The 4k is amazing
This will be the first 4K Blu-ray MCU movie I'll pick up in a while. That's cause they finally have the IMAX scenes. Hopefully Disney will re-release all the Disney+ IMAX Enhanced ones too, and I'll double dip on those too. How do we feel about the video quality from what Shane said? Good review as always! Now to watch that Guardians review haha.
The British HD expert speculated about the image processing applied to this movie, particularly compared to the sharper, less processed trailer.
Got my copy one month ago. Yes, this is probably the best recent Disney 3D release after black widow. Adding the Atmos track to the 3D is the best way to enjoy this movie.
