The Fifth Element. The movie is so out there and fantastic. There's always something different to notice. I love how so many of the side characters have distinctive and interesting faces.
Gladiator for me! Although I never saw it in the theater unfortunately. I was 14 at the time and didn't really go to the theater back then. I had it on DVD, then special edition with extended cut on DVD, the normal Blu-ray, the extended on Blu-ray and now on normal 4k. Love that movie! 🙂 Hoping it gets shown as a classic showing in the theater so I can get to experience it on a giant screen 🙂
Jurassic Park. Saw it at The Edward’s Big Newport in 93. It was one of the few theaters that had been upgraded to DTS and had the largest screen west of the Mississippi. When it came out on VHS my dad and brother had started to build a home theater and tried hard to replicate that audio experience. My mom didn’t like to see speakers in the house so when my parents would go out my brother and I would carry out our five home made giant speakers and two subs, plug them in and put Jurassic Park on even if we weren’t going to watch the full movie just to set our levels 😂. To this day that’s my favorite demo movie. Keep up the videos. I’m enjoying the channel!
Thank you for watching! I remember going to the movies and taking a sneak peak at the auditorium that was playing Jurassic Park (while I waited for my movie to start). It was the scene when the helicopter arrived to the island- the score was unbelievable!!! Good memories!
When listening to 5.1 movies, the up-mixers can make the sound objects sound totally independent as to what's coming from the bed layers. However, when listening to a two channel rendered movies where possible, imo one should turn the height channels off. Not unless one wishes to hear the same bed layer signal coming through the heights 🥺 The benefits of externally amplifying the height channels! Nice! I just got the 4K release! I was probably in my early teens when laserdiscs came out and I remember those being crazy expensive at the time.
Terminator 2: Judgement day for me. VHS, DVD, DVD extreme edition and Blu Ray. Only missing the 4K upgrade.

@@KevisFilms I have! I'm not sold on it yet. A few things that don't look/feel great but hopefully its just the trailer and doesn't reflect the movie.
