Strangely enough, the 1989 LP was back-lashed by critics. In my opinion this is sophisti-pop at its best.
It was a constant refrain back then and in the 1990's: "Eighties music is so over-produced! We're gonna trash anything that's sharp, bright, and clear." To each their own, but this work didn't deserve to be so maligned by the emerging "grunge" fad.
On that time it sounds like
Stick with their 80s sound : People would say "The Band didn't grow up"
Then we gonna heard same person whine about "Nobody making sound like this anymore" 20 years later.
Updated their sound : People would say about "Yesteryear Band, Ignored them" "Sellout"
Then we gonna heard same person whine about "How underrated their music/this album was"
"Heart Like A Sky" maybe a bittersweet ending album of Spandau Ballet. But I loved the album sound very much ❤️ Breezy and much better than "Through The Barricades"
Tratado injustificadamente el lp Heart like Sky., totalmente de acuerdo pop sofisticado,y singles buenos, luego había entonces y después peores canciones de otros que tendrían mayor éxito.
I just can't understand it: For me, Heart like a Sky is Spandau Ballet's best album. Each song on its own is a revelation of fine pop songs.
It's a great pity that the band came to an abrupt end 😥

Even though at 60 (!) he's too old to star in a James Bond movie now, I'd love to see Tony sing the latest James Bond tune. With that marvellous voice of his he'd be just great.

I remember my mum and I were visiting family in Austria and I spotted this album while out shopping in Italy. Of course I immediately grabbed it and bought it! I fell so in love with each song. I know the guys don’t like it,but it really is a fantastic album!

Like many I've been a Spandau fan for over 30 years now. I first came across their music whilst at boarding school in the 80s. However this is the first time I've heard this one, and I love it. I really wish I could hear them play this one live.
