Spandau Ballet are one of Britain’s great iconic bands having sold over 25 million records, scored numerous multi-platinum albums and amassed 23 hit singles across the globe since their humble beginnings as a group of friends with dreams of stardom in the late 1970s. It wasn’t long before they became fully-fledged members of the iconic Blitz Club scene and established themselves as one of the super-groups of the 80s.
The band's classic line-up features brothers Gary and Martin Kemp on guitars, vocalist Tony Hadley, saxophonist Steve Norman and drummer John Keeble.
After two decades apart, the band reformed in 2009, embarking on a sold-out tour. In 2014 the band released a critically lauded documentary film ‘Soul Boys Of The Western World’ and returned to the studio recording three new tracks 'Steal', 'Soul Boy' and 'This Is The Love' for the anthology 'The Story'. ‘
This has been followed by the ‘Soulboys Of The Western World’ world tour wowing crowds and critics alike with the band making rapturous returns for the first time in 25 years to USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and parts of mainland Europe.
Spandau Ballet’s hits include Gold, True, To Cut A Long Story Short, Through The Barricades and many more.

I feel like there's plenty of urge to like this song just because of pure nostalgia for the band, but the more I listen to this piece I feel a greater connection to how uplifting it is... Like this is a song you could hear during the end credits of a movie and leave feeling totally awesome. You could know nothing about Spandau Ballet in the 80's and still enjoy this piece of music.

At 62, I've listened to music from the 60's thru the 90's, and consider these guys my favourite group. It's like they haven't missed a beat.

Amen to this. The best memories of my teenage years are bound to these guys, and to the times that used to be. I would give anything for a time machine and re-live those days again... being sure to live them to the fullest. And tomorrow night (March 28, 2015), in Florence (Italy), I will be able to be 16 again because they're playing a gig!!

Incredible Awesome night, although I was front row, had forgotten to eat (too excited to be bothered with such material matters!) and had to take a painkiller because of my back. I believe during "Communication" I collapsed right in front of the guys. NEVER HAPPENED to me in any concert I have been... The bright side is that yesterday Martin was so sweet to tweet me asking me if I was alright cos he was worried about me :). Anyway, they're better than ever!

Released in 2009 on an album also titled Once More. It had this song and another new track called Love is All. The rest of the tracks are some of their hits, broken down and redone acoustically. A very good CD.

Still proving that after a 20 year split they can make classic tracks!!! Been with them from the very beginning and so glad they've finally sorted out their differences and are back doing what they do best!!!
Now at 53, looking back to the 80's when I was in my teens they were THE BAND. Bringing back so many good memories from the days I used to live in London! When I hear they're music, of always brings a big smile om nu face..... All the best from The Netherlands! ❤🍀

I used to listen to Spandau Ballet in 1982....great songs. Then I fell in love with a girl when I was 16...never materialised. But all these songs by THIS band bring back good memories. Guess I am trapped in limbo....

I see 'flabs' and lines here and there but then again I look at myself, exactly after 20 years when you "winked" at me, Tony, at your concert in Dublin, Yeah! I'm "passed my spring time". All I want to say is I still see the "beautiful you" that resonates in your songs and the great times I remember whenever they are played. You're still the man of my dreams! And for some reason my real-life prince charming of a husband is very supportive. (He's also a fan.)

Every member of this band were always a class act, I always loved Spandau Ballet, owned all their records and went to see them in concert, I am so pleased they are back together again and we went and seen them when they toured recently and they were as good as they every were, keep going, all your fans love you
Good song and video. So good to see the guys perform together again making their magic happen. I was lucky enough to see Tony live in Las Vegas last month and I have to confirm what I have already seen in dozens of posts--his voice is better than ever.
