- The last Star Wars Battlefront II update is coming soon. I would like to thank the developers of the game for all their work. I'm looking forward to playing Star Wars Battlefront III with all of the Star Wars Battlefront II content and even more. May the power of the most powerful character ever General Grievous, guide us.

Grievous was literally the catalyst of this game's revival. He was the first addition to mark the Clone Wars updates, which was pretty much the golden era of this game.
I still play the Tuberculosis Spider to this day and I still cannot get enough of how he plays.
Hah, I love that nickname! First time I've seen anyone say that about him, but it's true! "Tuberculosis Spider" hahahaha. ;)
You would say he made a great addition to the collection?
It's a shame they boarded the game up when they did. It still has so many players and they could've added so much more with their live service updates... I'm just glad I was around back when it still had that really fresh feel and you knew they'd be bringing more content to it. Fun times, still a fun game to play.

My very reaction to the clone wars content updates back in 2018 after almost giving up on the game
So true! General Grievous is the reason why I bought this game. I'm so glad they've finally added the Clone Wars content in it. That was one of their best decisions ever made.

2:49 The "sector is clear" trailer is so memorable. That location looks so good, too bad it can only be accessed online. They should really transfer everything to local, too, so I can get more out of the game. You can't bring a co-op partner into online, and personally I would rather play against bots usually in this type of game.
You can play there offline in the instant action missions section if I’m not mistaken.
@@reality8470 In offline mode you can play on Naboo, but not outside, only the Palace and the Hangar room. When I played the outdoor Naboo map, it was on that one mode where it's 2 phases, a ground battle then you invade their ship and destroy it from the inside to win. Maybe DICE figured designing bots to carry out objectives like this on their own wouldn't be worth the effort, but it would to me.
Few games today are split-screen and almost all that are put so many limitations. The hardware gets stronger and publishers just keep pushing graphics while split-screen is often an afterthought.

If you turn off the AI you can walk around and enjoy the map without getting fired upon.
While capital supremacy offline is available, the lighting on Naboo always bugged me. PBR shaders don't render right in darkest areas, and visibility overall is less than optimal. I can't believe there haven't been mods for alternate lighting like the GA version does (the daytime version of Naboo looks so much better).

Man, imagine if EA actually had the balls to go full force on an Imperial campaign and not lose their nerve 3 missions in. What a ride that would've been.

When they released that trailer with Geonosis and Obi-Wan Kenobi and General Grevious, that was what brought me back into this game. *(And BTW, Grevious to this day is still my favourite playable villain, I use him in practically everything)*
And that is what was the deciding factor for buying the game in my case, I bought the game for Grievous and it was a great decision 😄 General Grievous is my favourite character of all time, so I pick him whenever it's possible 😅 He's the most powerful character ever, so it's easy to be number one on the leaderboard as well, tons of fun playing as Grievous in Star Wars Battlefront 2 💪💪😁💪💪

This game is amazing just for the fact that it has something from every saga, the only thing missing is Ahsoka

It’s a shame, too; They could’ve released a Siege of Mandalore DLC with Ahsoka and Ventress to celebrate TCW’s return and printed money.

Battlefront 2 really makes you feel like you’re in Star Wars. When you get that 6 Kill-Streak with that machine gun, grenades and hero. When you fall down during death and you receive a heroic sacrifice earning of points, feels nice.
You know, General Grievous is my favorite character in Star Wars and always has been. So you could imagine my excitement when he finally got added into Battlefront 2.
Exactly the same for me too. Grievous is the reason I started playing this game, ultimately leading to the fact that he's the reason I'm here 😊

The Death Star Fight was pretty good I thought, definitely much better choreography than their first fight on Starkiller but that makes sense since Rey was untrained and Kylo was severely wounded

Technically the GAR did have non-humans serving, however they were either relegated to leadership roles, like Admirals or extremely special assignments.

That's why they're called "community update" videos and not cinematic trailers or even just trailers because the developers needed to directly communicate to the players on all the new updates, fixes and improvements they made to the game at certain points. I liked them because they kept us informed and were upfront with any changes, so I respect that. But yeah, the voice itself can be a drag on all the gameplay but it's his voice, he can't change that lol and again, they still have to provide a voice because they're explaining to the players all the new stuff they did to the game.

I remeber giving this game up as it was a mess then when grievous was announced...man was so excited to see my boy in these graphics and he single handedly revived this game

The multiplayer reveal trailer is still epic as hell. This game should've been the next big thing since sliced bread. But the loot boxes and EA basically abandoning the game was hard to take.
And gave us 2042, the game that killed Battlefield and took that potential from battlefront

Whoever made the story trailers really bamboozled us
They actually showed all of the scenes and shots from the actual story, so just marketing. It's not their fault that the story was the way most fans didn't like and they were just trying to create the best trailers with the footage they could get ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I love how the Ep 1-6 make me so happy and almost wanna cry, then i see the new trilogy and immediate skip past it lol
My favourite Episodes are 1, 2 and 3. However, I like all of the Star Wars 😅

God I remember how much of a riot the arc trooper was when he was first added. Having twin pistoles separately linked to the triggers was so fun. I could dish out so much damage…… then they nerfed it. Sith Trooper was a beast too. Can’t beat the KENOBIIII emote lmao. Also marked the start of the downfall of Dice/Ea lol.

NGL, the Celebration Edition trailer was by far the coolest. If we ever get Battlefront 3, we need awesome cinematics like this again.
Man, the last trailer of the ROS update made me cry a bit 'cause of the music and all the shots of all the characters, gamemodes etc.
Battlefront 2 was a great game and I enjoyed the time when it was still updated and stuff and it's sad to see everything that EA had to ruin for us

Just realized they used similar music in the Kenobi Traileras they did when they released him to the game. Not only Duel of the Fates but also just the tone of it was very similar.

To think I still love playing this game,as Yoda,Jet Trooper and Commando Droid lol.As a Star War fan,this is my other universe I hang out and battle the heck out!
The Commando Droid is always a great choice! For me, Grievous is obviously the best, he's the reason I got the game. And same for me, Star Wars is the ultimate experience 😉

Do you remember the stamina mechanics while using the 4 lightsabers? I always wished they've included an unlimited ammount of the stamina for using that ability haha

And yes I love the revenge of the sith game I remember playing it when I was like 8, also revenge of the sith is my favourite Star Wars movie just wish they made grievous the beast he was in the 2003 clone wars tv show
@@aidenjackson921 Oh yeah, I was wondering about why would blaster cost stamina too and I've come to the same conclusion 😆 General Grievous is indestructible either way 😄 Definitely agree, 2003 Grievous is the best version of Grievous out there. If they'll ever make a movie / show about him, they should hire Genndy Tartakovsky, so that the writing, characters and scenes would be as epic as on the 2003 Clone Wars.

For sure! They hyped up the Empire storyline so hard on these trailers too.. and then second goddamn mission Iden defects like every other Imp main character, such a waste
They need to make battlefront 3 and include some of the republic’s Jedi like mace, Ashoka etc make the 1v1s more enjoyable and competitive make HVV more competitive and push out significant places of interest with good maps. The third will be record breaker so many Star Wars fans out there
