Classic problem-solving that comes naturally to some, but you do a great job of pointing out all the various design and engineering considerations and explaining it to people who are 'making do with what they've got', but still has to be considered no matter what they're doing! All invaluable information!
Hello and good morning from Alabama. I just bought a 41 Chevy coupe and I’m watching you do this build and man that baby is looking great!! I have a long ways to go and man I sure wish I had your help lol 😂 have a great weekend and thanksgiving also!!
It's all well and good if you have a never ending check book but a lot of us guys still have to restore good used 2nd hand parts , modify chassis , bodywork, engine, gearbox, suspension set ups to suit , yeah theys never handle like a made for purpose complete brand new chassis, modern brakes and suspension but it's basically a rebody all said and done ! 👍
Next time you build a Hot Rod instead of having a custom frame built, just go out and find a mid 70's to early 80's full size car and use that frame and power train. That's the way people out here in the Southwest are building budget Hot Rods. They are cheap, strong, plentiful and there's VERY little modifications needed because the wheelbase and floor size are almost spot on plus the parts stores still carry 99% of the parts. One of the guys in my car club who is a shop teacher at a one of our high schools built one over Christmas break last year, put a 53 Chevy Fleetstyle on a 77 Buick LeSabre frame using the original 77 Lesabre drive train just to prove to his students it could be done and Drove it to school when Christmas Break was over, Total build time 12 days, total invested, under $1800 when everything was said and done because he too he everything he didn't use and threw it on Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist.
Pretty cool project all you need is to install a set of Us Mags Indy wheels along with a set BF Goodrich Radial T/A white letter tires, and paint the whole root beer.
Just like a lot of people, got time , no budget! The car hobby is becoming financially out of reach for the average person, unless you want to spend 20yrs building your dream car!
Check with Fatman Fabrication. This one has optional upgrades. You can do everything I'm doing with used parts, but we wanted a frame that was strong enough to hold 500 horsepower.
Kids today love their way-over-used catchphrases, like everything is a ton of this and a ton of that, or super this or super that, or crazy this or crazy that. But if they would have paying attention during their English class, they would have used far more intelligent words that are much more expansive, instead of using the same few words in many areas where they don't really fit.
Stacy you the best. I really enjoy and learn alot from you. I'm glad I got these shows back
I love this show i always was ready to see what he would build next i happy i found this show again

Hotrod needs stick(s)!!
I'm actually working on a 41 chevy coupe myself and was looking into doing something similar to this.
Wish you would build another copperhead but out of an 88-98
I missed his show
I LOVE your show my friend! I wish you'd take my 1957 Chevy pickup and reassemble it on your show! (hint hint).
Man motor trend dropped the ball mishandleding this show. Should of been on weekday primetime!
At this pace, that car will require $50K paint, and $50K interior!
I remember when your hair wasn’t turning gray
creamy
Now tell us how much this frame and suspension costs. Really tried of these shows that act like everyone has an unlimited budget.
Just like a lot of people, got time , no budget! The car hobby is becoming financially out of reach for the average person, unless you want to spend 20yrs building your dream car!
This car would be WELL in to the 6 figures, my estimate is $150K. But this car is fully sponsored..

Nobody can this unless he mortgages his house thats paid off. Show budget bills for average guys. These shows aren't for average guys in his garage.
Isn't this just another rat roaster?
And that's how you spend $ 100000 bucks on a hotrod and why it's a dying sport !!!
cool episode!
