    No need to say that Joker is a monumental movie. One of the best of this year and of the past few years. Amazing acting, story, directing, and put together very well, Joaquin is worthy of being the Joker is his performance is phenomenal.
    I hope you like it !

      @blood hand Actually I view him as a realist which the Joker character makes much more sense than Batman. I grew up loving Batman as a kid but as I watched this film, I now understand that Joker just shows that you deep within every persons mind, even how good you are, there will always be a little evil that exponentially grows as predicaments come to life. He makes more sense than Batman actually. He's not evil in my case, he's just an iredeemable character that can't be negotiated with. He was just absolutely broken so much to the point of insanity. I mean, not everyone is as valiant when coping with life's harsh predicaments.

      @blood hand since you mentioned the 2008 trilogy, i'll state an opinion by clustering the 2019 Joker and 2008 Dark Knight. I wanna know your opinion on my opinion

    • @sylvannaswindrunner9240
      @sylvannaswindrunner9240 4 роки тому +2

      @blood hand blood hand many fans of the Dark Knight had argue why Heath's Joker had no origin story. It never had a story wherein Joker was thrown to a toxic waste and morph into the Joker but instead Nolan decided to leave it blank. Which also makes sense because Joker prefers his past a "multiple choice". But since the 2019 Joker came, I noticed that if you connect it to Heath's Joker, it connects! First the make-up can be visibly seen in both Jokers while past Jokers like Nicholson and the 90s have an all white face which follows the origin story. Second, their beliefs are too similar that its too good to be true. Try rewatching it, Heath's Joker also explains that he has nothing left to lose same as the last part of Phoenix's Joker. Another is the way Heath's Joker emphasizes the ugliness of each person in gotham is also the same as how Phoenix's Joker describes the people in gotham. Another theory of mine is how Heath's Joker stated that "the only sensible way to live in this world is by having no rules, and tonight you're gonna break that one rule" trying to threaten Batman. It kinda makes sense since Phoenix's Joker reiterates the same thing through action since at first he had morals but ny killing people and finding euphoria by killing them, he broke his morals which implies he first had to abide the rules of how precious ones life is. There are still many points to connect but its too good to be true of an opinion. The holes that I can point out in my theory are prolly Bruce's father being a fascist, Joker's pseudobolbar affect, and the alternate version of Alfred and many more. To reiterate, Phoenix portrays Joker early life in a more realistic view while Heath plays the full character of Phoenix's Joker. Kinda hehehe. But overall, it connects in my opinion. I'd like to hear your thoughts.

But the shit the writers do for the dc universe is horrible. Especially the justice league movie. Luckily there’s still movies like the joker and Nolan’s trilogy that still give me hope.

    Every time he laughed, he was crying from the pain and misery of being ignored, forgotten, misunderstood, bullied, and walked all over. He was made to deal with a losing hand all on his own, despite trying his best to help himself by finding work and getting treatment. He was trying to so hard to be okay, to be a productive member of society, to make people laugh when he himself found very little to be amused with in his life. But society had failed him, kicked him repeatedly when he was down, spat in his face, shoved apathy down his throat. A part of me died when I watched this film. But it will always be one of my favorite for not shying away from the one of the issues that plague us now more than ever--the lack of concern for people other than ourselves.
    No matter how hard we try to deny, a part of the world that we know is exactly like what it was in the movie: so many people deaf to the cries and suffering of others, a brittle system offering very little hope before that too is shattered by corrupt and unfeeling politicians, and tortured souls who struggle to believe in what is good, to believe that there might be a chance for them, until life hits like a a calamity and the devastation unlocks the gates of hell in them. These people embrace what is dark, because to survive is to prevail, even if it means becoming the very thing that broke and warped them. Joker will always be a very sharp and wonderfully made social commentary for me: we make our own demons. Fail to protect and defend those who are powerless, and one day, they will come to even the score by using the knife that was used on them.

      I feel You man, I have a severe depression since I was a teenager, somehow I've managed to graduate high school and even get masters degree but couldn't keep a job for more than a year without finally breaking down. I lost my friends, girlfriend and any trust in society. Finally after 3 years of staying home I've found a great psychiatrist and therapy. It took me two more years to get in mental shape that was enough for me to find a job again. I was so happy, my family was very supporting and even got me an appartment closer to my workplace. Only problem was an older manager, let's call her Martha that was really againt me from day one of my job. It wasn't even a job that required any higher education, it was just a cashier salesmen position in the supermarket. MY mental health was still fragile but I managed to do fine. One day at the end of my shift Martha just came to me and asked some question regarding procedures at work that I didn;t know the answer or I was just to stressed to remember correctly. I don't know why but she humiliated me while clients were nearby, everyone could hear her telling me how terrible I was at my job, how I didn't try enough and that rest of the crew was suffering because of me. I felt water in my eyes, barely managed not to burst in tears, my hands clenched into fists...I wanted to punch her so hard that she would spit her teeth out. I didn;t do it, not because I had enough control over myself, it was cowardice. I cried during my way home, I cried at my appartment, I cried when my parents called me about how my day was, I cried to sleep. I couldn't stop crying for next 2 days. I've had to go on sick leave for 2 weeks, that turned into 2 months, ultimately half a year at which point they were able to fire me. It took her 5 minutes to cancel my 2 year therapy and make my health even worse than before. I am 30yrs old and have nothing, no work, no friends, no gf, my family gave up on helping me after last job. I just don't give a fuck about anything anymore. But I have one regret that still haunts me to this day. I should have fucking punch her teeth out that day. I would feel better knowing that she is there somewhere thinking each day of her life that she got wht she fucking deserved.

    This is easily one of the best movies ever created and acted. The realistic take on the character, the dialog, the cinematography, the soundtrack, the acting, this movie is brilliance on every level.

    I just realized when he turned the gun on himself when he was practicing his lines, he was really deciding who was gonna die in that room when he was on tv. That’s why he wasn’t overjoyed when he got the phone call. He knew that no one cared for him when Murray made fun of him, so he thought that being on the show would be perfect to send his message to the world.

    do you ever just reach a point in your sadness, where you feel at peace? like nothing can hurt you more than you’ve already felt, it can’t get worse, so it has to get better. right?

    I adored this movie but OH MY GOD. You've outdone yourself again. Pulling together all the emotions of the movie perfectly and showing the right clips at the right time to show both his descent into madness but also how much HAPPIER he is with himself.
    Amazing again slyfer. Always look forward to your uploads.

    Joaquin really did a FANTASTIC job with this movie, I really do hope that he comes back for a sequel or possibly in the Matt Reeves trilogy to further expand his Joker and make him the criminal mastermind we know him for.

    I found it extremely difficult not to sympathize with Fleck, having observed his benevolent, altruistic nature just go thru the meat grinder of everyday Gotham life. He was practically begging for affection, understanding, even guidance...a thing that most can identify with nowadays.
