Anger is always memorable, we always remember when people we know, people we love, get angry at us and raise their voice and get red in the face. But the anger that really sticks is the anger that comes from fear. It's the anger that comes from loss. It's the anger we feel when we feel like we have nothing left, that we've done everything wrong and we don't know how to make it right and all we can do is yell and rage. That's the anger that scares me the most, because it's so real, it's so deep.
I think 0:51 is a very interesting and realistic portrayal of anger. There was no build up or gradual rising of the voice or anything of the sort. He’s thinking and in that thought he finds pure anger at a moments notice due to a thought and a wave of pure anger comes flooding all at once.
To me this is the perfect depiction of rage. To me anger builds up, anger is sort of a choice, anger builds up and you choose to release it all. Rage is pure. Rage is instinctual. Rage isn't controllable. The blade runner is the perfect depiction of that. Deep (over)thinking and a sudden release of negative aggressive thoughts directly followed by a sort of regret for responding Primal/carnal.

One of the most powerful hatred and anger scenes that wasn’t in this video was the scene from interstellar where cooper turns on the computer in his ship to see the past 27 years of his children growing into adults and achieving new heights that he trained them to reach. But something else has been growing too. U can see it with every video tape that it gets less happy and “cant wait to talk next time dad!” And more “why do I keep doing this, it’s time out of my day.” He sees his children’s lives, flash between frames of a computer screen and he sees them hate him. He sees them despise him, outcast him from their minds of a loved one. It’s a scene where a man who went on the farthest journey known to man, the very farthest reaches of the universe to try and save his family. And that man realizing his efforts were not appreciated and instead used as fuel to hate and hurt their image of him. A truly incredible film.
Interesting aspect about that song, it wasn't written for Shutter Island, just used for it. It's actually been used in several cinema works. It implemented incredibly well in Arrival. I'd recommend you check that out as well.
This clip shows david mills shooting jon doe but that is not the scene we want to see but the scene before, when mills learns that his wife and child were killed by the murderer. It always haunts me every time I remember the movie
Jake Gyllenhaal has had quite a few amazing anger scenes but I think the best was his acting in the 2021 Netflix movie “The Guilty”. Very underrated movie and some of the best acting I’ve seen in recent memory.
This is not really anger, more like exasperation, contempt, defiance, disagreement, etc. The closest scene here to "anger", is Jake G performace at 03:55, that is a scene from "Nightcrawler" if I'm not mistaken.
Anyone know the black and white video of buddy hitting his head on the wall and then punching frantically sounds like deniro. Also the gyllenhaul scene where he breaks the mirror. Looks like great films

When anger is done right, it's a memorable scene in a movie. And helps defines an actor's talent.
That's what I wanted to say.
