I have been having the Pasta Bolognese this past week. It's become my favourite. I honestly don't know why Mac & Cheeze is so highly rated. I have Pasta Bolognese, Mexican Chili, Chick'n & Mushroom Pasta and Mac & Cheeze. Pasta Bolognese is my fav, then Mexican Chili, then Chick'n and Mushroom (although I find that a bit too runny, need to put less water in) and I definitely won't be buying the Mac & Cheeze again. They are all even better with a small pinch of salt added and I tend to let them stand about 10 mins rather than 5. I haven't tried any of the others yet. Thanks for the review.
This is the content we’ve all been waiting for!
Thanks for the review. You're spot on. So many reviews hinge on comparing it to regular dishes. Instead of thinking about what it is. Took a few bowls to get it figured out. I'll take this to work for sure. Easy to transport and make. And I appreciate the nutrition.
Shouldn't have to have a few bowls to get used to a food 😂
I'm looking forward to trying a few of these huel savoury meals
Purchased my first order of Huel after watching some of your reviews. Thank you.
Thank you for another great review. I had exactly the same opinion - a really nice addition to the range … but not quite as good as Mac n cheez. I now have Huel H&S for lunch most days (I have the full range of flavours) and don’t think I’ll ever be going back to unhealthy and expensive sandwiches.
I ordered this flavour and it was bland and I immediately decided not to order it again. However, one user suggested using a spoon to mix the ingredients properly. And after trying this I was blown away by the results! Now, this has become a favourite. I know Huel suggests shaking the box but that's not enough to give you the full flavour. Try doing what I did and add some hot sauce to the mix and you'll thank me later :)
@@mitrehj4593 I assume the spice particles are finer and so find their way to the bottom of the bag.
Useful! Thanks 😍🙌
as a base meal it might be adequate but i think the point is that you can ameliorate where necessary, i would add grated mozzarella and some additional microwaved tomatoes and chicken. its a game changer if you take it camping, MRE's are £5 p/meal!!
I feel like I am eating at a Michelin star restaurant every time I eat this meal. I have been to Italy and did a comparison. I found out that this meal is better than the Italians can make themself. This is the best meal in the world with the ultimate taste and the Italians are jealous. We took their meal and made it a instant meal with no skill and better than them. The chinese are watching ready to take over this market.
Haven't had this specific one yet, but with the Mac n Cheeze I preboil the water in an electric kettle and THEN microwave it per the instructions. It's the only way I can get the pasta to soften
Hey really love your reviews. I've been following you for a couple of years now and I'm wondering based off all your reviews, which brand would you recommend for someone looking to lose weight and feel full the longest? SO far I've tried Soylent which has been good, but I don't think it keeps me full for very long, and Huel Black which tasted kinda weird/gritty but kept me full longer. I'm leaning more on Huel Black but I can't stand the chocolate and the salted Carmel is the only one I semi-like!
Huel Black Edition tends to be my go to, as at 500ml it does fill you up, it's high in protein and low in carbs, etc - although taste-wise there are better tasting products. I also use Mana a lot, as the taste is very subtle, it's packed full of nutrients etc....very scientific.
I discovered Huel Hot & Savory through you and love it.
Just spotted this one on the site when I was going to renew my subscription, I love me a good pasta bolognese! Eager to try this out. Kind of disappointed they just went with the pasta penne's though, I know they probably can't fit straight up whole spaghetti in the bag, but I'd be okay with "chopped up" spaghetti pieces. :P Oh well!
Nice review. Have you tried the cookies and cream black powder? Definitely my all time favorite Huel product. Also have you ever looked into the meal powder Ka'chava? I don't think it's quite as nutritionally complete as huel or Soylent etc but it's got a lot of good ingredients and I've been drinking it for about a week and I feel fantastic.
Thanks. Yes, I've tried cookies and cream BE. Full review coming soon 😉👍
Not tried Ka'chava
Great review thank you! But the main question, did it keep you full? I typically eat lunch at 11am-12pm then don’t eat dinner til 7pm.
Everyone is different. But I'd say kept me full between 1pm to 6pm-ish
Thanks!
Awesome. Thanks for the Super Thanks! 😜
Are the 'dried tomato' bits the same as are in the Mac n Cheeze? I found the tomato bits in the MnC really unpleasant to bite into, wondered if I'll have the same issue with this.
I think they're similar, but tbh I think I only found one bit 🤣so I'm not sure they're that prevalent
@@CliveIllenden I'll give it a go then, thanks!
I've tried both these new pasta flavors of huel, Bolognese and Cajun pasta, and they are both very decent. Don't expect some super amazing tasty meal, but i can say i actually enjoy the flavors and they are both easy to eat and get down, and taste pretty good for what you are getting, which is a convenient quick healthy meal.
Great Review.
Really nice video :)
Im currently evaluating if Huel is a good alternative for food at work. I wonder especially: how full does it make you? Because 400 Calories really doesn’t feel that big and filling.
I find the shakes more filling than this - but this ties me over for a few hours
Personally I find the pastas need 10 minutes. I add boiling water, microwave for 30 seconds or just long enough to compensate for loss of heat through the measuring jug(the ml reading on the back of the packs seem better than the "fill line" of the container.), put the lid on and wait 10 mins, it's the perfect temperature too.
I LOVE the cajun pasta, its absolutely delicious, the mac and cheese is nice too while the chicken and mushroom is slightly bland but still tasty (mixes great with the mac though!)
So I'm really looking forward to my next sub arriving, If it tastes blandish I imagine ill mix it with some cajun or mac. Thanks for the brilliant review. I'm hungry now.
10 min for sure. The chik mushroom and green Thai curry are my favorite
Gonna try this with some mozzarella on top. Will also try with a baked potato. Most bread does not agree with me anymore, oh my stomach bubbling.
How does this compare in flavour to the tomato and herb? I don't like the tomato and herb, I find it tastes really bitter. Wondering if this is very similar, as I know I won't like it if it is
I find the Tomato and Herb a little bland, compared to other flavours. This is better, but still has quite a "tomato-y" flavour.
As someone who hates the other hot and savoury range, is this and the mac n cheese any better than those? i hate the texture to those and it really puts me off eating them.
This is similar to the Mac N Cheez - since pasta based, but slightly lighter texture-wise AND defo not spicy
did they change the way the referal code works it's so confusing and was not working lol
How similar are the ingredients to the Tomato & Herb Huel? I enjoy the taste of that one, but I must be allergic to something in it, because it gives me a rash every time. I’m not allergic to tomatoes, and to my knowledge, Tomato & Herb is the only food I have ever gotten a rash from. I love their other pasta meals the most, and am wondering if this will be a possibility for me.
Tomato and Herb has green beans, radish, and carrot, if you're allergic to any of those. Huel Bolognese doesn't have any of those three.
@@Musicplay30 hmm. Not allergic to any of those foods. I wonder if it is something in the micronutrient blend that the others don't have... Everything else I've tried from Huel is fine, and I've never encountered any food allergies before.
Brill review thanks
Thank you so much from far away Bonn/Germany, it was very interesting for me, great!!!!
Think I will order a few bags, THX!
Luckily your accent is like german in my ears (which area in UK?), in contrast to your youtube-fellow colin furze.....ohhh horrible english, so hard:(:(:(
I bet even his Mum does not understand him ;););)
Greetings From Bonn,
Henning
🤣Colin Furze is from the West Country (farmer land!) My accent is from London, South East... (with a bit of Midlands)
@@CliveIllenden Aaaahahahahahahahaaaaaaaa now everything makes sense, THX ;);););););)
I’m not sure that flavor exists in USA
Which one is your favourite of the pasta range if you had to pick one?
Between the Mac n Cheese and this Bolognese. Think the Mac edges it
I just wish it was gluten free pasta
The bars were terrible 😞 and then the cajun pasta wasn’t that great for me. Probably cause I don’t like corn.
i would never buy this because i would get a salt or sodium hart attack.
Omg why would you record yourself chewing! Why do people do that on reviews it is disgusting. Turn the mic off, chew then turn it on, not that hard!
