- truly nothing better than some fresh watermelon in the summer. 🍉 but have you ever thought about eating the rind...? hit the link in bio for a recipe to make tarbooz ki sabji - an indian dish made from watermelon rinds! 🎥: rootedinspice on TikTok
I did it. My stores had no asafoetida and mango powder(and never had). I used garlic+white pepper and honey+sugar instead. I liked it. It's kinda strange at first, but then it's good, tastes like fried cucumbers which i like. If you eat meat, then know it goes well with meat 👍 Thank you for the recipe!
Her mom does that because she is a splendid genius... God bless spiritually and emotionally all the wonderful people our there... you are truly a beautiful work of art both inside and out.... I thank all of you and love each of you swiftly and mentally... lots of love forever to infinity and beyond... toodles
Kudos to @rootedinspice and every one else.
First time seeing this.
I know I will like it.
I just juiced my watermelon and looked up recipes.
Thanks poster.❤
I’ll try making this another time when I have everything but I tried first with things I had:
Ground coriander/tumeric, paprika, chili powder, salt, and substituted asafoetida the best I could with sautéed garlic in avocado oil
I have to say I had doubts about it but it was surprisingly good. Reminds me of squash a bit. Personally I think I wouldve boiled it a little longer, but good nonetheless!
Guys I just tried it and it tastes just like the rind with no seasoning but with a little extra flavor, I added in some white vinegar just now and it soaked up the flavors a lot more, it kinda honestly tastes like a delicious Indian style pickle if I’m being real
How is the texture like
Boiling the rinds right now to try this, ill come back with an update on how i like it!!!
So? Did you like it? I usually peel the outer tough green layer when I make watermelon rind curry, kimchi or jam, I’ve always thought it was too tough to eat… I’ve thought of juicing it though…
Its been a month, did u like it?
It's been cooking for 2 months now
@@randomboi8448 is it good
3 months is it still boiling?
I did this but with the wrong spices, amazing
I’ll have to try this usually I just compost my rinds for my garden but this sounds tasty
