This video unfairly makes no mention of the beliefs and practices of the US Continuing Anglican jurisdictions which eschew the 39 Articles, utilize the American Missal, modify the Ordinal, and whose intent it is to do what the Church Catholic has always done. Some of them have closer relations to the Union of Scranton than the ACNA and the Church of England. These are the Anglican Province of Christ the King (within which Fr. Robinson recently celebrated), the Anglican Catholic Church, and the Anglican Province of America. These communions certainly have their own problems but the video seems to be completely unaware of their existence altogether.

I can't believe I commented on the short rather than the long video 😅. I don't want to be in the position of defending Continuing Anglicanism beyond my other comment, but thank you for the interaction. Being so splinterred, these groups have been largely ignored by Rome as well as the Anglican Communion anyway.

Putting Fr. Calvin Robinson on blast is very distasteful. One but can wonder if it is from your decision that has led you to the place you are at. Let him walk it out and pray for him and see where he ultimately lands. Just not a good look for you

First of all, on whose authority is Calvin a "Father"? His own, it seems. So yes, the "expose" was necessary. I both admire and respect Mr Robinson's staunch faith in God as well as his intelligence and readiness to fight for Him, but the rather ambiguous attitude towards the Churches and his rejection of the conditions required of him to be a part of them, will only cause confusion in those looking to him as a religious leader.

@@soniavadnjal7553 - Well Calvin was ordained by a bishop who has Apostolic succession so the answer is; 'on the (Universal) Church's authority'. It is an untruth to say 'on his own authority'.

Among the churches which are in the same situation as the oriental churches named in can. 844 § 3 we include the Old Catholic churches in Europe and the Polish National Church in the United States of America.

Fr Calvin is a great man, he's doing God's work, that is why God put him on this earth. It's a shame other priests & vicars don't do the same, Wonder why they joined the priesthood ? Leave Calvin alone & follow his example. God bless Calvin 🙏🙏

The Taylor/Calvin interview was rather good, and a welcome change to the usual TM output. With charity, I wonder Gavin if you are seventeen years behind the times. By this I mean that a lot of water has passed under the bridge since Summorum Pontificum. The irony is that Calvin sounded like a Catholic, but your narrative is one of a conservative Catholic from the 1990's. The trads act very badly, but they are basically right, and they have exposed the fact that Catholic conservativism was always a false position. Who won at Vatican II, or who should have won?... The nouvelle theologians, the Thomists, the Neo-Thomists (some with their mystical theology), the Jesuits (with their heretical Jesuit Congruism and the nature of grace)? Which one is traditional? Which one is destroying the faith? Which one would renew the Church?

Hi Gavin, I clicked on this wondering if I should bother with the (much) longer interview. However, I can't quite make out what you are saying, because you are soft-spoken, and the background "music" (big quotes) is drowning you out. Please consider - this background music stuff does not add value to the content. Background music should be restricted to movies, to set a scary scene, or a "the hero is coming to the rescue" mood!

I think Mr. Ashenden offers valuable insights to those eccentric English believers and says to them “cop yourselves on “! Stop being complicated ! English Christianity was totally uprooted and on its pls e came a narcissistic culture that extends to the modernist identity and which believers in England are not immune .
