This is very interesting. I did not know that Charles had any interest in Orthodoxy, but it makes sense since his father was Greek Orthodox. And as one experiences illness and the closing of this earthly life, one does contemplate (hopefully) the deeper things of Christ. As a convert to Orthodoxy myself, I see many people coming into the Orthodox Church for the very reason you mentioned, primarily the drift into cultural liberalism, but also the heretical teachings that have infiltrated the evangelicals in the west. It will be interesting to see what happens with William - will it lead to a collision course for the UK.

I agree and accept that Charles is in a very difficult and complex position as constitutional monarch, however surely if he is a Christian, whether Roman Catholic, Protestant or Orthodox, his first obligation is to acknowledge Christ as King rather than Tiberius, Nero, Machiavelli, The Lord Chamberlain or Starmer (or whoever resides in No10 at the time). That, after all, is what Christ demands. I feel he needs to be true to that calling and let the cards fall where they may. After all God is sovereign and the results will be what He wills, not the wishes of the PM or Parliament or The Lord Chamberlain!
