This is recognized for 90% of football fans in Brazil as "the game of the decade" and it's probably gonna be one of all times, considering how hard is to have an youngs star like Neymar playing against a GOAT such as Ronaldinho. The greatness of both clubs and the sacred football temple Vila Belmiro also makes it even bigger.
I remember watching this with my dad when i was 6 years old. I'm a Santos suporter and even though we lost, i wasn't mad because i was in awe of what i had witnessed. Today things are a lot tougher for my team but i love the memories i had with that Neymar led team. Glad a foreigner knows and is showing this game to others, kudos to you!
The most impressive thing about this game was the fact that Deivid did not lost his chance to score! All Flamengo fãs has to agree with. Jokes apart, definitely this game was one of greatest of the decade. Grettings from Vasco /+/
I remember I was 11 years old and I was watching it with my father, we were having a barbecue at home, my father was always a Neymar hater ahahahahha, we both cried with joy at Ronaldinho's free kick... I didn't imagine it would be a memory that I would take it forever and ever... best match I watched in my life...
This game is legendary in Brazil. In Santos, bars usually show this game on TV when there is no other live match on. I was in 6th grade when this game happened. The day after the game, I got detention at school for getting into fights, but the worst part of it was that the school would call my mom and I knew I was going to get my ass kicked. So, I went home, ate something and sat in front of my PC screen to watch the highlights of this game. My train of thought was: "I might not survive the beating my mom is going to give me, I need to see that Neymar gol again one last time!"
I remember watching this game at my grandmother's house in the countryside. Everyone was asleep and I was 13, watching alone in the living room with the TV on at low volume. My father came into the living room and saw that it was 3-0, and almost went back to sleep, but Flamengo scored the first goal and we finished watching that game without being able to shout or celebrate too much.
This game is so memorable that I remember where I was even though I didn't watch it. I was at a bar and since I didn't care much about football at the time I just remember people coming up to our table saying how crazy the game was.
This game is very interesting!! I am a Flamengo fan and it was the best game technically speaking that I have ever seen... There is a funny story, Neymar was at his peak here in Brazil and they said that Ronaldinho was old and close to retirement so he took this game to the personal side and both played spectacular matches. Neymar's goal that won the Puskas was in this game.
i saw this game live, and must say it was crazy, im a São Paulo fan (one of Santos' main rivals), and there arent many games that come close to the legend status of this game :V 2:52 just some background for the juggling, Felipe (Flamengo's keeper) used to play for Corinthians (one of Santos' main rivals)
We could be seeing so many more legendary matches like this in Brazil, but unfortunately our youngsters are sold to Europe even before they turn 18. It's hard to keep a solid squad when this happens. Even though the Brazilian league is improving tremendously over the past year, that's plenty to change, and I think they should pay special attention to their youth players and hold them for much longer than they currently do. That would even appreciate their market value when they do get sold.
Two fun facts about Deivid: - He didn't celebrate his goal in respect to Santos. That's why he raises his hand. - Deivid was known in Flamengo for missing MANY easy goals, and he did miss one on this game. Thankfully he fixed it.
Ronaldinho my dad told storys that he had taped the ball on his feet like that he dribbels and that he was like a butterfly flying true the players and neymar for me is a bad player with only flair and speed i dont like a money grabbing loser
Neymar was better than Ronaldinho... way more efficient overall... just happened that Ronaldinho played a World Cup that was already won and Neymar had to carry the worst Brazilian generation ever in his back... unfair as it gets

01:37 That goal literally won the Puskas in 2011 if I recall correctly
03:47 literally the reason why people lay down behind the wall nowadays
You do recall correctly. Nice job
E se não me engano a onda de ficar deitado na barreira surgiu depois desse gol também, lenda demais!!!

Realmente um dos melhores jogos da década. Nossa liga é a mais competitiva do mundo
It was a crazy competition. This Flamengo x Santos game was the first of TWO 5x4 of the Brasileirão.
If you are a Flamengo or Santos fan, you know exactly where you were when watching this match. It was magical!

Awesome game. The game of the previous decade could be in 2005, Figueirense 5 x 1 Vasco, Edmundo x Romário
I'm a São Paulo fan and every time this game shows up to me, i stop what i'm doing and watch.
Palmeiras fan and same
Definitely the best i've ever seen.
I didn't see this match because I was very young, but it must have been a very amazing one, SRN🔴⚫️.
You are still very young.
@@mattvideoeditor well... Im 16, gonna be 17 in october 1st, not that young but also not that old.
I remember watching this match, when it was 3v0 I was like well it's over, and went to take a shower. When I came back it was 3v3 lmao
That’s a funny story 😂 yeah I can imagine 3-0 in 25 minutes there would be no point but Dinho pulled one last trick out the bag
It happened to my but in 2010 Gremio 4 x 3 Santos.

ISSO AQUI É FLAMENGO 🔴⚫️🔴⚫️
isso ai eh ronaldinho gaucho no caso 😂
Damn, sad that Santos got relegated. Maybe Neymar will come back one day and lead them to one last trophy.
That is not going to happen i think neymar Jr going to ask this 1 millioen per year because hé is taken over by the money demons of football

O gol que ele perdeu DE CARA pro gol contra o vasco foi assombroso

Ronaldinho was better, but Neymar is very good too, R10 is just on a different level.

Im a Cruzeiro supporter but I watched this game with my father. It is my favourite game ever
I think nigmar is better idk that’s hard
