Here's some context. His prime was at Barcelona, that's where he played with Messi and other legends too. Messi wasn't in his prime yet, but he was a wonder kid. And the first Messi goal in his career was assisted by Ronaldinho. Another epic anecdote is when Kobe Bryant (rip) who was a great friend of Ronaldinho told Ronaldinho that u r the best ever, Ronaldinho told kobe come with me and i'll show u who's the best, and he was talking about messi. Kobe actually told this story, kobe later on became a big fan of Messi.

Rondaldinho was one of the best to ever do it but he was also one of the flashiest. I think that, minus the injuries, Ronaldo, THE REAL Ronaldo was the best and most dominant payer of that era. I think it is safe to say no-one enjoyed playing football more. Except maybe Paul Gasgoine of England the only other player I know of who played professional football like they were a kid down the local Park having fun with their mates just as Ronaldinho did.
The most amazing thing for me about Ronaldinho was that he did everything on high speed and still had control over the ball.

You either just a Messi fangirl or never actually watched football lol, he didn’t retire when “Messi was ready to take his place”, he got sold by the club to AC Milan because Pep didn’t want him in his team. He played top level football in Italy for a couple of years, then went and played in Brazil for many years too before he was actually retired.

People talk about Messi and Ronaldo as being the best in the world, they are both great players, but they do not even compare to Ronaldinho who was, imo, the greatest player I have ever had the pleasure to watch. What makes it even more amazing is that he always played with a smile. He truly loved the game and the fans loved him.

Ronaldinho was excellent, for like three years. Messi and CR7 have been amazing for almost 20 years. Yes, he was on their level a couple of seasons, but it is a vast difference in playing at that level for such a sustained time.

Not sure where you get your facts from, but Ronaldinho was a star at 18, why do you think PSG signed him in the first place and he continued to improve for the next decade. He started declining in fitness during his last year at AC Milan, 13 years after sigining for PSG but his skill hasn't declined.

They can say that he is not the greatest of all time in terms of titles and individual awards, but let's agree that this player was complete and magical, he had a lot of technique and magic on his feet, he was a professional who did not play for profession but for fun. Well, no one ever had the pure magic, impredictability and joy of Ronaldinho in his prime.
His prime was short lived, yes. But, in those two years, he was the best footballer EVER.
In 40 years of watching football, I have never witnessed a more beautiful and spectacular player like Ronaldinho from 2003-2007. And then he threw it all away.
Same years 50 cent was dominating the music scene.
How do you know he threw it all away…? He seems always very happy with the amazing history he made and with his brilliant career. Just because he was not that dedicated to it anymore after 2007 doesn’t mean he threw away, just that he decided to slow down and it’s ok to do it

This guy was the definition of football - playing with a smile on his face! He was a pure revolution to football and is still to this day without any doubts the greatest dribler of the game - the book of tricks that he could perform at full sprints were out of this world! Just try and do some of them standing still..
Ronaldinho was the peak in football history for me, he boosted the Joga Bonito mindset which made football so fun to watch (nowdays that's lost imo). Also he's so funny, if you can react to his more funny moments hella hilarious 😂. We had a lot of legends as messi, Ronaldo Nazario, CR7, all of them fans of Ronaldinho. In terms of skills with the ball nobody will get close.
