I have been in terrible pain for years now. I found you on UA-cam. I have fibromyalgia, 9 bulging disks, Arthritis in my right hip and my S.I. joints. I can't sleep, sit or walk without a lot of pain. I am going to try these exercises. I really wish I could win one of these mattresses because I am a senior citizen and I don't have money to buy one. M6 mattress is old and has springs in it that are all sticking up in different heights. Thank you for helping people. Please, don't stop!!

I am an orthopedic PA and I think that this is one of the least or mis diagnosed problems. It is often called LBP or sciatica or lumbar nerve root irritation. I Maybe I am just more aware of it since I too experience flare ups. Hopefully in increasing awareness, we can get people feeling better without narcs and or steroids. Thank you!!!

I have had sacral iliac joint problem for 40 years and hundreds of chiropractic and other treatments. I use the massage gun lately and all of the tricks B&B suggest. Nothing lasts. However I have just watched a chiropractor UA-cam who suggests using a Trochanter belt and I have one but worried about over using it as I know a lumbar belt overused can cause atrophy of the core muscles, a trochanter belt does not. So I am going to use it daily for up to 6-8 weeks as suggested for severe strain of the ligaments in this joint. (Brand name - Serola in USA). Normally should help after 2 weeks. When I have used it I have found it helpful. I will stop all yoga stretches and cycling as suggested as my current go to exercises and follow a set of specific exercises for the gluteus maxims muscle (clams, the bird, a neat head lift for core muscles and half (easy) side plank. Wish me luck!

This is the first time doing this and after doing these exercises, I stretched the right hip (problem side) by laying down, left leg straight out, right leg straight up in air with strap around foot, I held the strap with right hand and slowly lowered the leg across the body toward left side as far as I could until felt the hip stretch, keeping right shoulder on ground, held for 10-15 seconds. Slowly came up.
Then I put right ankle on left thigh, right knee out to side, slightly held knee down with one hand and this is when I felt my SI joint go back into place!!!! I’m so happy right now.

You will know you have this jam up when the pain can't be easily relieved at home with any pain drugs. Nothing touched my pain, and it's blinding pain to boot. The first time my right SI joint got jammed up, it knocked my hip up out of place by a full inch or more. I couldn't sit, I couldn't stand, and I couldn't lay down to rest of sleep. I went about two weeks of this pain, some of it easing off as I was super careful with my movements all day long at work, before I started a stretch class at a physio studio. I got about 5 mins into the class I was crying. I couldn't explain what I was going through or how I got to that point, but I could point to where it hurt and every action the physiotherapist took to replicate the pain brought her to an SI joint situation. After a few sessions of warming up my leg and hip, she pulled my leg back out and it fell into the spot it should be, and like a light switch being turned off, the pain went away in a nanosecond. Instant relief. I have never felt that kind of relief in my life. It was like the pain was never there. I have others I've met over the years who have the same pain and I told them to get it looked into. They also got help and pain relief. More me, and others (esp women), it's the figure 4 sitting, tucking one ankle under our bum on a chair or couch, that does it for me every time. Now when I catch myself sitting this way for more than 5 mins, I know I will have pain the next day, and sure as poop, I do. But not like the first time. Now I know how to do deep squats, hip stretching, and plies to make it all good again.

I fell August 27, 2006 at work. Work sent me to quack Dr who kept sending me to other doctors. After 2 yrs and my tenth round of pt, my physical therapist did measurements and said my hip was out of alignment and he listened to all my symptoms water therapy help but work comp would only pay for 6 weeks. I got a new Dr & he diagnosed damage to my SI joint. Nothing has helped. I was given pain medication but that was taken away from me 3 years ago. I took the meds exactly how I was supposed to. I didn't have an addiction problem. I have this pain 14 years later. I am going to try all of these to see if I can get some relief.

@Question Everything unfortunately when dealing with work comp, they control what you can do and for how long. I went to pain management in 2011 for almost a year then was told no more. I went to a chiropractor started in 2008 3 times a week the got cut to twice a week, once a week to nothing. I can't afford to pay out of pocket. I'm on a shoestring budget as is. I have done everything except acupuncture. I would do that.

They deny my doctor's request for everything. I am hoping for some relief from this video.

To be honest I have a story to tell.
15 years ago I landed on one of my hips of course I was much younger and I thought the pain would go away because I got able to walk without any relative pain so I guess you could say my mind and body play tricks on me but sadly and excruciatingly the pain reared itself up to the point of me being extra stupid acknowledging it and ignoring it at the same time because I will continue to play sports but as I continue to play the pain got worse.
I did not see a chiropractor I just thought it would go away miraculously.
Me being a bonehead thought that it came with age or something and while acknowledging the pain because it became sort of bearable.
One day I woke up in the most excruciating pain I have ever been in I was paralyzed if you want to call it I was unable to get out of the bed for about 3 hours I went to a medic that just gave me Ibuprofen with stomach blocker.
The pain at that particular juncture went away as well able to run miles in relatively good shape.
I have even been able to go to the gym and then work for me is heavy but for others light weight that being 405 lb.
But when researching where is what my fate is I thought it was my lower back but it is not because what you guys are talking about.
So I guess I will try you a message to get some relief thank you for posting.

Best PT hands down! I would recommend that you state the scrotum pain, where STI is not a possibility could be from the SI joint.

I was actually beginning to think I had something wrong inside my body and was truly concerned. I know it will leave in time but I have things to do, people to see and places to go so you have helped tremendously. blessings to you.

Great video. I appreciate your contributions. Your comments on causes to this problem were spot on for me. I slipped on some wooden stairs in college, landed on ,y tail-bone so hard that when I stood up I passed out and fell down a flight of stairs. Some 20 years later, I was running down a flight of stairs in the dark. I also had my head turned around talking to someone while running down the steps. I thought I was on the last step but in reality, I was about 4 steps from the bottom when I stepped down. Thinking I was on the bottom step. Instead, I was quite a ways up and had a significant drop that resulted in my landing with all my weight on my left foot. I broke both the outside bones in my ankle. It’s no wonder I have pains going down both legs to my knees. Was great listening to your video.

I've had si joint pain for years and have had the injections but insurance denied surgery said it was experimental that was 2017, had injections 2018, 2019 so waited until August 2022 now on Medicare and I was told Medicare would pay. Today 12-07 -22 I get a call from my surgeon office stating Medicare won't pay because my medical record says I have fibromyalgia and surgery will not help me!
I am livid to say the least.

I’ve been having pain since October, gone to a chiropractor, physical therapist, and now working with an orthopedic surgeon. I had an injection into my hip anterior as well as in my back for herniated disc L4 and five. No relief from either, and the next injection will be into my sacrum where I swear the problem is. I feel like I’m headed towards a hip replacement and not convinced that’s the problem. . Thank you for these exercises, I’ll continue to do them and see if they help before getting an injection. My SI is actually tender to the touch and it seem like the pain radiates from there.

Thanks for video it is very well done! One thing you may consider is the change background to darker color to contrast better against white bones. Bone structures are very difficult to visualize as it is. I like to see more detail to understand better. This will also aid those who have sensitive eyes. Brightness of the background is less comfortable for me also. It will also save electricity and give pleasing, better experience viewing of the video! Thanks
