The entire series is incredible but one game is a candidate for the greatest of all time.

1:07:35 - The final game is a full series in itself, for almost half an hour I have no idea who's winning. Not in the dramatic "omg this is so crazy it could go either way" caster speak, but as a player it is so intensely close that any fight could be the end.

I watched thousands of games since 15 years ago, still plays mostly 4vs4 at diamond at 51 years old, this is easy top 3 of the best I seen. I can see Serrals hands shaking after this game and Hero (my favourite player) sigh over the keyboard.

Hero played amazing games this tournament. It seemed like he was playing the protoss version of Clem, Olivera, Maru. Lots of continuous pressure. He tech switched mid fight without needing to completely rebuild his army. Before restarting to fight. Just constant pressure with great plays and a wide variety of army usage, depending on the situation.
I'm surprised that bile pile killing like a dozen voids around 29:00 didn't get a bigger reaction

You zoomed in on it but I don't think your brain registered that cluster of voids getting gibbed by biles in game 2. Which, fair enough, that just doesn't happen.

I cannot remember the last time I've seen a Protoss win a 200 vs 200 supply fight vs Terran or Zerg. Feels like if the game isn't ended after strong orcale harass with a follow up or a blink stalker timing then we're just waiting for the T or Z to mass up and win the game.

Hero always has a decent edge here against serral but never commits enough mid game to take out the economy. He suffer late game and collapses. If he takes the right fight he could be winning these games earlier.

Does it ever happen that protoss wins vs Zerg in an equal army size late game fight? All I ever see in the rare cases of toss winning, is toss outmaneuvering the Zerg and clipping off units here and there until they can finally win.
It only takes a few parasitic bombs and fungals... Tbh, infestor just wins most games once it gets to that stage

air is so trash against Zerg because spire takes 71 seconds and corrupters take 29 seconds. At any moment, zerg is only 1 minute 40 away from having 20 corrupters. Zerg can miss seeing the fleet beacon, and miss seeing carriers or tempests even being built, and still have the perfect response available relatively quickly.

Question, would zerg be completely broken if they had a supply cap of 215 or 220 or something to compensate for usually needing larger economies in these turtle style games, seems like its a problem of not being able to have the army size required cover two sides, and have extra workers.
This is a large part as to why serral had to take so long to win his clearly already won game in game 4, but due to large map size lots of bases to cover, constantly needing to expand, and gas being really the only difference maker in winning or losing these games because of core tech units and casters, its like hes hindered for having maxed army with a large economy.
Not to mention man zerg is so ahrd to control with so many casters, i switched to zerg recently, while its super fun and exciting, it can be so frustrating vs good players late game, especially smurfs, you have so many things to control properly, even just using nydus in multiple areas and popping in and out lurkers this is extremely taxing on your attention.
How could you miss commenting on those voids exploding, maaaan 😂
