If you gear the original by Simon and Garfield, there's was a warning. People were on their way to losing the family structures we held close. Transistor radios were out, tv's were more and more out there. Out went family dinners, kids tuned out everything from school to parents because you could take your music and play it anyway you wanted. It was the verge of total complete break down of our way of life. David's version was the answer to the first song. He showed anger because no one took the warning. And here we are today where life means nothing anymore, no respect for law enforcement, or family. Schools have gotten rough to go to. It's going to get so bad that home schooling is going to be the only way to get an education. David done an outstanding job on this song and I hope he reached the point he was trying for. He got my attention. I get goose bumps plus when it's over. I cry for what we have lost. The social fabric of our way of life.
Welcome to the large group of reaction video-ers who did not know what they were about to experience. I am 76 and remember Simon & Garfunkel singing this in 1964 and a bunch of other people. It was not until I heard Disturbed's version did I understand the song. Others suggest and beg you to listen to the studio version which has exceptional cinematography to tell the story. This version(3/28/2016) has the 20-piece orchestra while the studio version(2015) is not as full and has only one drum, piano, guitar, and a couple of strings. You might want to check out their "Hold on to Memories".
Damn! David Draiman can sing! ...one of the best on the planet imho. He can even put vibrato on distortion! ... which is incredible difficult to do. Sometimes his voice is clear angelic... then on a dime comes the distortion and back... which is really so difficult to accomplish. The man has such control of his voice! ... it's really amazing! Liked your reaction Sarge.
Seeing Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin and Jinjer in concert this summer together on the same venue it’s going to be wild! I’ll have it all here on the channel. Much love 🫡💚
This became one of my favorite versions of this song. This is a tribute to the original rather than a cover of it. However, if you want to hear what Disturbed really sounds like, try Down with the Sickness.
This really is amazing. I enjoy it so much anytime I watch it. This is like the anger for not heeding the original warning. And geoff's newest is the follow up sadness and reflection (for me at least😂)
Another UA-cam user, "Jonadab the Unsightly One", commented under Geoff's version: "Original: Is this anything to worry about? Pentatonix: We can fix this, if we work together. Disturbed: You were warned and NOW YOU MUST PAY. Geoff: I am so, so sorry." And yep, I kind of agree with this. 🙂 I love Disturbed's version. I can feel it, and all of the feeling and the anger. It just happens that I don't belong there anymore, so to say. Maybe I got too old 😁😅. But I can still appreciate it just as much, as I said I love this version, as I love all of them that were in the quote above. I feel them to just be different... To express different feelings and attitudes. Thanks for the reaction, loved it as always. 🙂 See you next time!
Beautiful song this is my favorite version. That is so extremely awesome that you will be going to that concert. I hope you have a spectacular time🎵❤️🔥🎵❤️🔥
Hey Sarge! Working for Live Nation, I've had the privilege of seeing a lot of different bands and groups. Besides Iron Maiden, I'm looking forward to seeing Jinjer at an outdoor venue. The best part for me is that I work right next to the stage. It's going to be an outstanding show on July 23. Yes, I'm excited to see disturbed also, but more so for Jinjer. SLAVA UKRAINI!! 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
I haven’t made my way to the HU but know of them…I have some friends that suggested them. I’m excited to get to them in the near future. Thanks for the suggestion and much love
obviously you don't know the original by Simon and Garfunkel , which was written by Paul Simon! just incase you are interested! loved your reaction! ☮💌
@@davidvornsand9551 that’d be a great classic to bring to the channel in the future. I can’t even remember how long ago I listened to him or that particular song. Great suggestion.
Please react to NIGHTWISH "Ghost Love Score" live at Wacken 2013! Think you'll thoroughly enjoy, and they have a ton of great tunes to react to, you do this, the Nightwish Army will come!
Now please react to Tom Ball on AGT, a shorter version as they do on those programmes, but Tom has a video of the whole song. Disturbeds is my number one favourite closely followed by Tom x

I remember seeing disturbed at Download (UK metal festival) and omg it was so amazing.
Necesito escucharla todos los días varias veces, arrebatadora, suave, delucada, y te araña el alma y la hace más humana. ETERNA
From my understanding, Dave, the lead singer was not feeling very well when this was recorded. David Draven was also a trained cantor.
Cool
Beautiful song this is my favorite version.
That is so extremely awesome that you will be going to that concert. I hope you have a spectacular time🎵❤️🔥🎵❤️🔥
Live!
Paul Simon actually said after hearing their version, "This song now belongs to Disturbed".
What a compliment.
@@SargeStreams He never said that. Don't know why people keep repeating this falsehood. Paul DID add this to his play list.
To me Paul's rendition was a warning. This is David's rebuke for everyone not listening to the warning.

Nice Sarge, for an interesting musical trip, check out (with closed captions turned on) the HU’s “Wolf Totem”, uou won’t be disappointed 😏

Thank you for sharing ☮️❤️😎
I have heard the original but to be fair it was a long time ago. I agree I should go back and listen.
@@SargeStreams I was a teenager and it doesn’t seem so long ago however i forget how young you are!☮️❤️

I concur!
This is definitely the best version. The album version is somewhat subdued compared to this.

Yeah. The reason David was sitting is because he had the flu and couldn't do the performance on his feet. Just makes it more impressive.
Crazy and still sounded amazing!
React to mozzy I ain't perfect video is a good one and has a powerful message 🔥🔥🔥
Disturbed from middle school? Dang
Middle school? For you? Not sure what you’re talking about here?
