My Childhood Video Game and The First Video Game I've Ever Owned For Super Nintendo. It's Been Years Since Played This Game and it's wonderful how it hasn't changed a bit it's just like i remembered.
@@uhhh_adamTLDR: the games graphics (I dont believe) are due to DKC and the developer has a UA-cam channel explaining how games like this were made. Actually, I don't think DKC had anything to do with the inspirations for this game. The developer of this game and CEO of travelers tales has a UA-cam channel and in it he goes into detail on how, throughout the 16 bit era, some of the graphics and code for his games were done. In short, since the beginning his games have looked good. His first console game was puggsy for the sega genesis in 1993. In it (and also as said on his youtube channel) you can see similar graphics/graphical techniques as featured in puggsy in toy story. Also, this game isn't a snes game, as you may be aware. It's actually Mickey Mania 2 for sega genesis (down to the 3d doom level stage and main 2d level stages) remodeled into being toy story for the sega genesis as Disney lost interest in a sequel to Mickey Mania in favor of a same day release toy story game tie in. Now, do to the same day release the game had a tight schedule and is probably why, if you didn't know, the snes version is actually the sega genesis port with missing content (all or most of it being graphical data such as missing cutscene imagery). Also the music as well might be different due to time constraints or lack of understanding the snes hardware, but that's a straight guess. They might have just preferred how the snes sounded.

@@FuzzyMcNutz I think it all comes down to personal preference. Each version has pros and cons. For me I think the SNES version is the best. The PC has better audio and sound effects (aside from that ear piercing sound it makes when you pickup a star). The Genesis version has every level, where the SNES version is missing "Day-toy-na" and the PC version is missing "Really Inside the Claw Machine". What I like about the SNES versions is I think it offers the best colors, even though the PC version technically does, I feel like the SNES version matches the vibrant colors that the movie has. Plus other small details, for example in the RC level "Buzz Clip", I prefer the wood floor texture on the SNES compared to the PC and Genesis versions. For another example, in the level "Food and Drink", the cup and box Buzz and Woody are hiding in are blue just like in the movie, in the PC version, the cup is blue but the box is purple, and in the Genesis version, both are purple, probably due to the limited colors. Another small detail in that same level, the SNES version is the only version that has a straw in the cup Woody is in, just like the movie, the Genesis and PC versions have no straw. Childhood game. The race car was always so hard to me growing up. No internet for walk throughs or tips, just your own 6 year old mind trying to problem solve what felt like the impossible. Great game.
I got the SNES version of this game for my 11th birthday in 1998. I could only get to like the third stage but my sisters could make it all the way to the 5th and 6th stage. Quite personally I think they need to bring this one to the Nintendo switch online. If Nintendo could bring quest for Camelot for the Game boy color onto NSO in August, I don't see why toy story should not be on the SNES Nintendo switch online
