      Honestly it’s so nice to get this comment! I love the game now and consider it very special! But every video I make about it doesn’t get many views so it seems that the damage done with release hurt it a lot. It’s so nice to hear from someone who enjoyed it a lot as well!

    Hype is one of the biggest issues the gaming industry is having right now. They'd rather trick unaware people into buying broken unfinished games at launch than be honest. They want to accumulate as many early sales as they can before word gets out about the true state of the game. I know a lot of people don't want to miss out on the next popular thing but it's not worth supporting these kinds of deceptions. Wait a few days and see what people say about a game before spending money on it. The whole industry will be better as a result.

      I think pre ordering is a dangerous game nowadays. There’s a huge risk with your money if the game isn’t polished. Which seems to happen more often nowadays with games being so big. I think from cyberpunk it shows that the game needed an additional year or two to match its target. But you have the stock holders who push deadlines forward and push multiple console editions. As a result we sometimes get rushed games and disasters like cyberpunk. They’ve absolutely turned it around but that mark will never be forgotten. I hope they can be an example to other games. But I think sea of thieves is another example. Dropped with the bare bones of a game and finished later. It’s a bad habit. It definitely didn’t happen as much before the internet was married to gaming.

    Phantom Liberty was what Cyberpunk 2077 could have been. To me that was the true comeback.
    It was such a tightly designed experience, Dogtown had more character, was more vertical and felt more alive despite being so small. The story had me more engaged than the main campaign and the ending (killing moon) made me feel much more torn than the actual finale.
    Phantom Liberty is peak CDPR and I hope we get more like it.

      Exactly! I’ve just finished the shattered space DLC for starfield and it’s about to get a scathing review from me. Cyberpunk is such a good game and by delivering phantom liberty, to me it shows that CDPR accepted their mistakes, listened to their fans and did their best to make it up then. For me, I love CDPR

    Man, I've been playing cyberpunk since release (was one of the few who didnt really have any issues on old gen), and it became my favorite game despite its issues. Ive seen every update, and have loved what they ended up achieving with 2.0. Although Im still salty about a few fundamental changes with 2.0, it is even more of an amazing experience, highly, HIGHLY recommend.
    I will say though, cdpr is my favorite developer, im really worried about the future with them, since they've started to announce their push towards DEI. Time will tell I guess.

    I feel like being able to update games over the internet is great but it's also a bit of a cures. I don't like that it now means devs often no longer feel the need to release a working product, under the idea of the day 0 patch will fix it. People often forget because it is a great game but on day of release the witcher 3 was filled with bugs and it needed many update before it really worked most of the bugs weren't game breaking which is why the witcher got a pass. But honestly, even now after the next gen update for the witcher the game runs a lot worse on my and many peoples systems then it did before the next gen update, CDPR isn't fixing that.

      I wonder why they haven’t looked into that? I haven’t had a problem with Witcher 3 but I play it on Xbox one and switch, so not on pc. As far as the updates go, yes it’s a bit silly. I didn’t put an example in the video but I remember I got Calisto Protocol for Xmas for ps4 when it came out. I put it on and it was sooo bad. Lagging, popping, glitching honestly it was mental. An update was available on day one, 50gb and hours of waiting. I was honestly going to return it as it was unplayable but I let the download go in and tried again. Mint condition and ran like a charm. But the question is; how on earth did it get released like that? What if I didn’t have internet? It’s a blessing that we can get continuous updates, but we are all tired of under cooked games coming out and we’re tired of updates we don’t want. Fallout 4 is the perfect example of that recently. It ruined a lot of peoples playthroughs. It’s just like you say; a blessing and a curse. Rockstar are the only company I feel you can trust to drop a perfect game from the get go.

      @@AVVGaming1 CDPR does know about the issue with the witcher but I guess they feel it's not worth the time to look into it and fix it.
      It has something to do with the CPU, the game only uses I think it was 2 of the available cores or something like that, so it's a massive bottleneck especially in areas with a lot of NPCs. If I recall correctly Digital Foundry did a few videos on it shortly after the update came out in case you want to know more, they are the best when it comes to testing games.

    Comparing CDPR and HelloGames actions is slightly funny, one decided to try to correct everything wrong with the game, and the other did the same, but after finally giving what initially was promised...
    CDPR: Get a new cool DLC paying some bucks
    HelloGames: Get everything free for just updating the game

    • @AVVGaming1
      @AVVGaming1  2 місяці тому +1

      And hello games don’t seem to be stopping and I’m not sure what the plan is. CDPR obviously wanted to get the game popular again to then maximise the dlc sales to make some money back from all the time invested which make sense rihht? Hello games are literally just like: we will just keep making the game better and damn the money! lol

      I played Cyberpunk on the PS4, and even with all the bugs and crashes, I found myself captivated by its storytelling and open-world design. Despite the issues, it quickly became one of my favorite games. But when I got around to playing Phantom Liberty, I was completely blown away. It’s hands down the best game with the absolute best expansion I’ve ever played. You need to try this gama ASAP.

    Those are literally games that overpromised and under delivered because they needed years of development time when launched. Bethesda has stuck with Fallout 76, and boy was that a bad launch. I am not sure whether Fo76 has reached the levels of Cyberpunk 2077, or if it ever will. Same with Starfield, it has improved tremendously but i think it still has a long way to go to reach parity with nms or cp2077.

    • @AVVGaming1
      @AVVGaming1  2 місяці тому

      Yes it all comes down to how people feel about them. See I replayed 76 the other day and I thought it was good now. However, I would personally prefer to explore FONV, 3 or 4 by myself. I just prefer offline games. But I would argue it’s definitely up there as one of the biggest turn around I’ve seen and would be on the list for sure. Starfield, it’s a fundamental issue more than just glitches thst need ironing out. I’ve done a lot of videos criticising Bethesda and starfield but I have to say, they put in vehicles. I don’t think it’ll be enough to save the game, but it shows they listened to fans and are working to improve the game and I always have respect for a company for trying to do that.

      Starfield is a bit of an issue. I honestly think it’s deeper than updates or being exposed to a new console. It’s fundamentally boring. But the again, no man’s sky did turn it around. What do you think? Obviously it’s not coming to ps5 so we can forget that, but can it turn it around?

    Cyberpunk 2077 was literally modern Fallout New Vegas with fantastic story, characters, weapons, graphics, and the world. The only downside was the poor performance, but as someone that played Fallout 4 on PS4 the crashes weren't that bad in comparison to Bethesda game. Even with next gen update Fallout 4 still has some annoying game breaking bugs. No Man's Sky is literally the best, and biggest exploration game of all time that I have ever played. Starfield never had a chance against No Man's Sky.

If I don’t upload for a few weeks, please log in, hop on your ship and come bring my back to earth lol but yes I played cyberpunk on ps4 at release and it was a mess BUT you could see the potential. The writing and quest design were excellent no matter how it looked. It was always a great game, and now it’s just been polished and showcasing its potential.
